I wanted to give this place 1/2 star. When I arrived the staff barely acknowledged me nor did they ask what I wanted so I assumed ok I will choose a color and be ready and know what I want. Well 10 mins went by one guy finish and he is cashing out his client, I move out the way (didn't acknowledge me). White lady comes in and everyone speaks he asks what would you like done then another white lady comes in same thing... Then after 15mins he asks what would you like to have done. I will NEVER step foot in this nail salon again. It’s over priced and my nails have never looked worse. I get the dip nails and it is bumpy, messy and uneven. I asked him to fix 3 of my nails and he said he didn’t see anything wrong. I had to ask someone else to do it and he was not nice about it. My nails started lifting about a week after. My mom and J went here a couple months ago. After all the negative media coming after this place we decided to give our own opinions and we still had the gift card. When arriving they started off pretty nice, but a little rushed. We got into our pedicure chairs and they start d. At one point one of us turned on the massage chair, and the lady rudely snapped at us and told us to turn it off (then why provide massage chairs??) We finished out pedicure and my mom handed them her gift card, they returned and told us their was no balance on it, which is impossible since she got it maybe a month before and we’ve never went there before now. So they threw th card away and we had to pay in full. About 30 minutes after we left, my pedicure had already chipped. After all that this is definitely not our favorite place in Lee’s Summit to go. Went to this place several times people are rude. I always get dip powder, well they had a new person who has never done dip powder before so guess who gets them. She was just learning and I was on my lunch break. Took 2hrs to do my nails and they still are not right. I have to go back after work just to get them fixed... Again. Employees here are hit and miss, sometimes I would come in and get a good job others I would go home and literally paint over my nails because they turned out so bad. Loved it!!! My first time getting a pedicure, and it was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. I got a french tipped pedicure and loved how well it turned out! Upon arrival, I was immediately openly discriminated against. It became very obvious that my business was not wanted. I could sense that my wheelchair was a problem and they did not want to deal with it. I explained what I wanted done and they kept asking my friend, instead of me, as if I couldn't speak for myself. We finally made it back to start the service and they said they would not give me the full pedicure because it would take too much time and be too much of a hassle for the technician. We explained to them that they would not have to do any lifting since my friend was there to help me. They still refused and that's when I said I would be taking my business elsewhere. Went for a pedi...I felt rushed from beginning to end and I was not a walk in, I had made an appointment several days prior. My pedicure is only a few days old and looks very thin, like I can see my toe nail through it. I picked a dark blue so you'd think this would not happen. I have been going to Glo Nail Salon for about 3 years now. They usually work me in and go the extra step to make sure I am comfortable and will offer me a soda or water. They are apologetic if the wait is long but I have only waited a short time maybe twice. I have been serviced by nearly all the nail techs there and all do an excellent job. I went in today with a friend and we were rushed and the employees were extremely rude. They need to work on their customer service. When we first walked in, the woman who asked us what we wanted had an attitude so I thought it was close to closing but no, it was far from closing time. We were not greeted by anyone and I felt unwelcomed. I've never been to a nail salon where almost all the employees are rude, except for the woman who did my nails. After giving this place a few tries, I have to move on. The first time I went in for a full set, I had a nice gentleman do them and I couldn't be happier! They were perfect! Stayed on great! Not one chip or break in 2 weeks. Went in for a full after 2 weeks and had a different person do them. I could tell after 2 min it was gonna be bad. They were all crooked, none of them were the same length, the gel polish was so thick it had bubbles in it. Add to that she cut me at least 5 times. Needless to say they all broke within less than a week. Went back in about two weeks later for another full set hoping that with all the mail techs they have I surely would get someone who knew what they were doing. WRONG! It's bad... real bad. I paid 40 for a full set of nails and left with no polish or anything because again they were all so crooked and misshaped I knew I'd be filing them myself to fix them. Will never go back. Read Less

Glo  is fantastic!  Friendly, helpful, clean and delightful! So many options! And the chairs! Oh my. I could have stayed all night with the massage chair. Trish is spectacular as were the others who did my daughters -in-law. We had a great time. Couldn't have asked for better service, nicer people or more options. I have lively flowers on two toes and the coolest ombre effect with sparkles in my ring fingers. We are definitely going back. Highly recommended! Read Less

I have been going to this salon for a few years and have always had a great experience. The staff and owners are friendly and remember my name each time I walk in or have an appointment. I have utilized most of their staff and everyone is nice, professional and courteous. I don't understand the negative reviews regarding this establishment. Most of the staff work 10 hours a day, 6 or 7 days a week. They have always been fantastic to me and my daughters. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I give this place 0 stars. The location is very beautiful and well kept, but the employees are terrible. They are extremely overpriced. They charged me $45 for my 3 year old. Her polish chipped in less than 3 days. Products and services are beyond low quality. I also went here before for a full set and my artificial nails broke within a week. I was out of town. I have been to this salon a few times, I have always made an appointment and still had to wait 20-30 minutes to be seated. This last time was the cake topper. I did not make an appointment this time, I walked in at 1100 and asked for a pedicure. There was 1 other customer in the ENTIRE salon and roughly 6 nails techs. They told me to pick my color and then wait for them. As, I sat there I watched the employees sit in the pedicure chairs with their feet up and drinking Starbucks. After I sat down the tech started right away, no soak time. I CAN SAY THIS WAS THE WORST PEDICURE THAT I HAVE EVER HAD!! Not to mention I had to look at the nail tech in front of me giving a pedicure with her shirt riding up and pants too low. to say the least I didn't want to look at her lower back tattoo.  I will not be back to this salon!!!! Ownership apparently changed hands and it's not like it used to be.  No more individually sanitized nail tools.  The nail techs are nice, but it's like they aren't allowed to talk or smile.  The owners don't smile when they greet you, and they sternly "patrol" the workers.  It almost like a sweat shop now.  I can't give my business to a place that seems like it's mistreating its employees.  Won't be returning. Today, I had a very bad experience at Glo nails, got a ten dollar polish change on my feet, and that was bad cause they don't believe in filing your toe nails. Got a gel fill on my nails it said on there menu that it's $23 but was charged $33 the workers was rude and when my service was done it's suppose to have a shine from the gel polish but it was dull my nails haven't been like this ever so they will never ,ever ,ever, ever get my business again and I advise people please don't go there and waste your money......... I went in on a Sunday around 5pm, which is plenty of time for a gel manicure. The girl hurt me several times trying to remove gel polish, she rushed her work the whole time, did not even listen when I told her I want stiletto shape not square, I noticed the shape was wrong right before she was about to put polish and also when there was polish all around my fingers and I insisted they at least use remover to clean it up... She said she couldn't see any! And the owner I believe told me if I wash my hands several times When I go home it will come off. My fingers hurt because I have cuts from her also when she was massaging she was squeezing so hard, I will never go back there. Waste of my $46. Read Less

I have been going to Glo nails for over a year now. Tina always shapes my acrylics perfectly! Love the atmosphere and any time I have an issue (broken nail, etc) they fix it, no problem at all. Unfriendly atmosphere. I asked for a swirl design which was based on the color that I chose. After she did some type of sunburst, she informed me she could not do a swirl. Really?. Never ever going back. Don't listen to their clients. And unfriendly. If this is what you're looking for step right on up.  We are the consumers. You are not doing us a favor by doing our nails. I got a mani/pedi and the customer service (or lack thereof) was terrible. The man who provided my services was very rude and made several smart remarks to me. He also rushed through the entire time and constantly made loud sighs as if he couldn't stand another minute at his job. I was very dissatisfied and will never go back to Glo as this is the second time I've had a less than pleasant experience. For their prices you'd expect a lot more from this business...and besides the price, customer service should always be top priority. Never againWent here for pedi with my daughter  - rude employees!! While sitting letting my nails dry and daughter finishing up I am asked 4 times in 2 minutes to pay.Next day daughter 2 and her friend return for prom nails ... 4:30 reservation means nothing ... I received a gift card from my daughter for mother's day and decided to use it before my cruise. I was seated quickly, and the massage was nice (I got the Glo pedicure). However, the lady doing my nails seemed disinterested in what she was doing. As I sat there, I got the feeling that the experience was being rushed and not much time was spent removing the callouses and rough patches from my feet. One of my nails is cut at a noticeable angle and there is polish on my skin. The polish on my skin isn't really an issue to me so much as the fact that I've had pedicures at other locations where my feet felt like a baby's when I left and felt that way for days. I got home and noticed areas of my feet that were the same as when I walked in. I slathered on lotion because my feet felt like sandpaper. Super bummed out. I go to Glo every 2 weeks for a mani/pedi. I ALWAYS make an appointment with Seven! He is the absolute best. Not super talkative so don't expect that from him. I also know Vi pretty well and she's great too and more social. My sister always has Tina do her nails and they are always amazing. Clean, cute and organized space. Ahh-mazing chairs and their spa pedicure options are pretty awesome too. Price wise, it's reasonable and so worth it.  I consider it your above average salon.  I live in Westport/Plaza, but I still come here every once in awhile to get a good mani pedi.  With work and the gym, I don't take good care of my hands and feet.  I always know when I leave Glo that they'll have me looking party ready and feeling great.The staff is really nice and made sure that I was helped within seconds of walking in.  Thanks guys for the great service and for making my nails look great! I usually base my pedicures off of how they feel rather than how they look, which might not be fair:) That being said, this pedicure felt AWESOME. However, it didn't look great. But my biggest complaint was this..they have several pedicures to choose from. I chose the $30 one. Again, it was relaxing, long, and the calf/foot massages were wonderful. There was quite a language barrier with the gal doing mine which is always frustrating. When I went to pay, my ticket said '$45' instead of $30. I asked her which pedicure I got, and I THINK she said 'oh I gave you the special one'...which just happens to be the $45 one, and that's what she charged me! I was very confused and annoyed? My mom went and had nails done and had them wax her upper lip. They went over the same spot over and over, now she has a big open sore from what they did. Going up there today to make them refund her money for causing this. We are getting ready to leave for Greece.. can you imagine having this big open sore on your face when you are going on vacation and are wanting to get pictures? I just heard about this place yesterday so I decided to go in on my day off today. The decor is nice but not totally finished. I heard the people were very nice in here...I was greeted but it seemed as if they didn't understand what I was asking for. I sat down and got a lady to do my Shellac polish...she never introduced herself and probably said like five words to me the whole time! I think that her English wasn't all that great (which is fine) because I was asking her questions about the Shellac and she just looked at me puzzled...lol! I like the way the Shellac turned out so I intend on being a frequent customer and the prices are super affordable...I just hope someone starts talking to me next time! Read Less
