My go-to place for haircuts. They have other services like spa stuff and nail care, I've never used them myself though. Having finer hair, I always struggled with the Sports Clips or Look Afters. I’m new to the area as we recently relocated here with the military. I had a semi-formal Navy event to go to. Just a couple days before the event, I went into the salon to inquire about a hair and make-up appointment. I couldn’t be happier with the service I received. Was referred to this salon and specific hair stylist, Cynthia, by someone on my neighborhood's website. Turns out it was the stylists mom! Well they say momma knows best and in this case that couldn't be more true. Cynthia was professional but warm and friendly. She gave me a tour of the salon before seating me in her chair. She offered me beverages. She asked questions about my hair and my thoughts on color selection. She was helpfully guiding but not bossy at all, ultimately letting me choose the shade with gentle guidance. I will insert here that while I love the color "we" chose, I'll probably go a titch darker next time. I chose a product that was a bit more expensive but had no odor, since I am odor sensitive. I got the impression not many choose that line but Cynthia was knowledgeable and professional. She asked if I minded if a new intern watched and I told her I didn't. After my color was rinsed out she cut my hair. I have wavy/curly short hair and a scar on the back of my head. She asked me exactly what I wanted done, then proceeded to do EXACTLY that! I thought about this for a long time on whether or not to make a review, and after asking some friends and family, I decided to. I came in a couple of months ago to bleach my hair, and after a long process, I never A) got what I wanted and B) when I did finally get some color, it washed out in two washes. I spent a LOT of money to get my hair to at least a point where I would be happy with it, and all I got was a blonde mess. I wouldn't recommend it, they didn't want to fix it, and now I am not happy with any part of my hair. I wanted a nice lilac color, got pressured into pink, got pink hair, and now it is just blonde after doing everything they told me to do and it washing out after 2 washings. Read Less

I've had my haircut a few times here. Normally love it. This past time I showed pics. Was told I should take it slow before cutting my hair off. Which I've done before. Now the style is bland. I love David Anthony Salon and Spa! I've been getting my hair done here for a few years. The staff is super friendly. I'm always greeted warmly and offered a beverage. The stylists are talented and professional; they listen to what I want and are honest about what kinds of styles will work best with my hair type. I've visited for cuts, color, up-dos, and nails. I want to thank them so much!! The woman that was supposed to do my and my mother in laws hair and makeup (on my wedding, I'm the bride) canceled on me 7 days before. I called David Anthony salon and they were able to get me and her both in on my wedding day. (And it was memorial weekend!!!) I even scheduled an appointment for a makeup trial 4 days before my wedding. The ladies were beyond nice and professional. The esthetician worked with what I wanted and even educated me during the process. The girl that did my hair was so friendly and nice and was excited about doing my hair. This was my first visit to the salon. I was hesitant at first because Yelp had only one review and it wasn't fantastic. I then went to the salon's FB page and saw many glowing reports, so I decided to give it a try. I will start by saying the staff is warm and friendly. Stephanie did my pedicure and manicure and she was great. She started by giving me a tour of the salon. I was impressed with their facility and capabilities. She was delightful to talk with. The pedicure was gentle and relaxing, just what I needed. I had a special request for the manicure. My nails do not tolerate polish very well and I just wanted my hands and nails to look nice. She understood completely and made them look beautiful. I plan on being a regular here. First time there and had a terrible experience. The only reason I even gave it 2 Stars was because the girl who did my hair was so nice. The unfriendly receptionist needs better training and a lesson on how to treat customers. Crazy rules that embarrass the hairdresser really? They time the hairdresser on how long it takes her to style someone's hair lol. Poor thing she was trying to go so fast that she left clumps of product in random places in my hair. She would drop her comb and stuff. Don't put that kind of pressure on your stylists it's tacky and rude! She did a great job considering the situation. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Today was my first visit to David Anthony Salon and Spa. All I can say is WOW- I was so impressed with the customer service, fun atmosphere and expertise of the stylists. Christine Tudor, my stylist, took me on a tour of the facility, and asked me a series of question to really get to know more about me and my beauty needs/wants.
