I had my hair and makeup done for a photoshoot today and gave pictures of the hair I was wanting and the end result was not like the picture (hair still looked nice just wasn't what I asked for) my makeup came out great however she said the lip stain she used would last like 4-5 hours and it barely lasted 3. Such a cute place where thy make you feel like a princess! All the stylists are dedicated to each client, giving them full attention. I came in with a bridal party and they served our group of 12 ladies in 3 hours. My make up artist asked me a few questions about what I wanted, but then I just let her have full reign. And I brought a few pictures in for a hair style...which also...I just kinda let my hair stylist, Nevada, work her magic. I'm so happy with the look and I know my hair will stay in place! Read Less

This place is horrible and overcharged. I truly wish there was a zero star option. The makeup was atrocious and the stylists don't understand the concept of following a picture. After asking them to fix it, the finished product turned out worse. I would recommend doing your own hair and makeup over going here. They charged $150 for makeup and hair and they have the skills of 12 year olds experiencing with makeup for the first time. I have contacted them once in person and twice over the phone and was told I'd be contacted, which has not happened. I called again today and I'm not sure if they blocked my number but I can't get through to them any longer. I honestly have no idea why anyone would like this place. Read Less

I visited Posh on 4/1/17, and the service was spectacular. The staff was all friendly and professional. I got my hair styled by Christina. I asked for beach waves, and it looked incredible! This place sucks!!  I went to get soft and flowy waves in my hair and when I was done my hair had so much product in it I couldn't get my fingers through it.  My makeup made me look like a freak of nature.  Didn't even look like a human anymore.  The girl couldn't even get my skin tone matched right.  FYI makeup application means a Makeover.  I shouldn't even have paid for my makeup because they told me it was going to cost $10 but it cost $35. I first came to Posh KC for blowouts and I loved the way my hair stayed curly and bouncy all day. Then I saw how real and full their hot head extensions looked in clients hair and I had to get them! The extensions have been worth every penny. My real hair has stayed so healthy throughout the whole time I've had the extensions in. I also was impressed with how long the extensions last and stay healthy looking. Melissa does an excellent job of blending the extensions in with my real hair so you can't notice the difference. Posh KC provided hair for me and my bridal party. Michela and Grace arrived on time and were super professional and talented. They were able to get all the styles done within the time frame that we had, and everyone loved their hair. Michela did my bridal hair which was a beautiful down dry style and then remained to put my hair into an undo immediately following the ceremony. I know that is not always a common request, but Posh and Michela were happy to accommodate this. My ...hair has a hard time holding curl, but my hair stayed nearly perfect all night. Michela even helped recur some after outdoor photos wiped out a couple curls. My undo was exactly what I wanted and kept my hair looking polished while keeping it secure and off my shoulders. I have very thick hair that sometimes has a mind of its' own, but Michela was able to tame it. My mom and I went here for a girls day before the Dixie Chicks concert. We thought it would be fun to get our hair styled and make-up done. Our expectations were definitely met! I love this idea of a "blow out bar" and just getting to relax for a bit for a bit all the while getting dolled up. I had the best time getting ready at Posh KC for a wedding (I was just a guest, but treat yo'self, right?). I was in KC from out of town -- booking online in advance was a breeze. I even put a note on my appointment that I'd like to add a makeup application if there was time. When I was booking online, that wasn't an option because of timing - but it all worked out in the end!Cute interiors, complimentary champagne, and I left feeling gorgeous. I also got compliments about how young I look. Who doesn't want to hear THAT?!I thought the cost was VERY fair. Hair services were comparable to blowout bars in Columbus, OH and the makeup application was slightly less than what I'd pay around Cbus. Came here to get my hair blown out for a night out in Kansas City. The blowout cost about 35 dollars and the girl who did my hair was very very sweet.My hair was big (which is what I asked for), but alas the curls did not stay as promised. None of this was her fault, my hair really won't hold a curl even if you pay it money.The place is brand new, and beautiful inside. I really liked the decor, with motivational phrases written in gold lettering. Too cute. Much different than the blowout factories of NYC.
