I have been going to this nail salon for 3 years. Today was Mother's Day and I took my daughter there for a pedicure and a spa manicure. I will not be going back! The lady that did my pedicure did a great job, unfortunately, the lady the did my daughter's pedicure and spa manicure was rude, jack up the prices, and only painted my daughter's nails and did no include the massage and a couple of other things that went with the package. When I nicely asked her about it, she got very defensive. She jacked up the price of using gel on the spa manicure, and I know what the prices are because I have been getting the gel on my nails for three years. Not sure what her issue was, but she just lost 4 customers (my mom, me and my two daughters). I never write negative reviews, but I wanted to warn anyone thinking about going there, that you really need to go somewhere else. I never write negative reviews but the experience I had was unbelievable. I took my mom here to get manicures and pedicures for Mother's Day. With it being a Saturday and Mother's Day weekend we expected it to be busy. We had no plans all day so we just figured when they got to us they would get to us. We signed in and on the comment I put TOGETHER cause we don't mind waiting a little extra long to be sat together. So after we waited for an hour and a half (again the time is not an issue) they called my mom back. I figured that someone on either side of her would be finishing up soon and then I would be next to her... at that time my mom motions for me to come over.. she said feel the water it's cold. I said we'll have someone heat it up. She said she already told them and one person turned on the hot water and she felt it was hot and someone else came back behind her and turned it off and when she told them it was still cold his reply was "Too many pedicure! No more hot water!" So I flag someone else down and they showed me how to work it so I could make sure it was heated up for her. Then the person next to her gets up and they put someone else there....... I said um I requested to be together.. they said well you will just be one spot away. I said if I can't sit with her I don't want to do it just do hers and cancel mine. Then they said oh well she's almost done.. (pointing to the lady on the other side of her) and the lady said "but I just sat down.." then my mother said she just wanted to leave. Worst experience I've ever had at any nail salon and really any customer service place ever! The end product was good but getting to that point was very frustrating.  My daughter and I wanted to do this together so we made an appointment.  We walked in and we said we wanted pedis. The said "no mani?" And I said "no". She said "eyebrow"? And I said no. She said "her eyebrow are long". Which embarrassed her. Then we said we wanted to sit together. And they said it wasn't possible so we sat apart.  She said "sugar massage $2 extra" I said no and she immediately said something in Chinese to the woman next to her. Then I said I wanted the sparkly nail polish on top and she"$3 extra".   And she asked again if we wanted mani and I said no and she looked at my fingernails in disgust.  I'll NEVER go back. They do a good job with nails, but try to upsell too much. I told the tech MULTIPLE times I did not want gel and she did it anyway and then charged me for it (it was terrible taking it off and my nails are awful now). The communication barrier is not bad - they understand, but pretend not to. Seriously doubt I can go back due to the dishonesty and being tricked into a higher price. Read Less

I literally just got charged an extra $5 for choosing oval nails instead of square. She then tried to tell me how oval nails were going to fall off so much sooner than square. (Not true) She tried to up charge me on so many aspects of the service and moved so quickly, I could tell I was just another $30. She was rough, didn't care about the quality of product, and more importantly, didn't care about the customer in her chair. I had two friends with me that received sub par service as well. One had a pedicure that removed little to no calluses, and a manicure that was sloppy and nothing more that could have been done at home. I've been getting nail services for nearly 20 years and am licensed as well. This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had and will not go back, and I will not recommend as well. Read Less

the last three times i been in the service was terrible the girl wax my eye brows left half each time my pedicure dead skin and cuticle not cut off and i have white tip they filed down didnt paint white back mon just put top coat i pay 100.00 a month if not mpore and the service is terrible and they talk about everyone Read Less

What a find! The NK Nails and Spa is friendly, relaxing, professional, accommodating, talented, I could just go on! This was just was I was looking for and I got perfect nails for my upcoming event. Extremely happy to have finally found a nail place that does great work repeatedly in a very well kept shop! I've never left disappointed with my nails, Kelly truly do a fantastic job at this shop. I've gotten gel manicures and acrylic multiple times and I've always been very happy with the results. I was in town and needed a really good pedicure....and that is EXACTLY what I got! As did my husband! We were impressed with the cleanliness of the business as well as how upscale and modern it looked. It was very quiet and all of the workers there are extremely professional. My feet looked gorgeous when I left and the polish looks shiny and new over a week later! I will definitely be back next time I'm in my hometown! I'm relatively new to the area and looking for a new spot to get pedicures. I was not impressed with island salon. The woman continually tried to up sale me and did successfully charge me an extra dollar for the polish I chose. Apparently it's new this season. The salon was clean enough, but kind of run down.
