Nice workers, they do great eye brows but not great gel nails. I've went there a couple of times. The first time I got acrylic nails and they were way too thick, after I removed the acrylic I later found out my actual nails had damage to them. I decided to come again recently and this time I go my actual nails done. The same gel nails but this time they didn't even last me three days without peeling off. I've been coming here for over a year now and have had very good service However, they're under new management now and the whole place is terrible Their nail tech did an awful job. Came in asked how long since it looked a little busy, they said 10 minutes. 45 minutes later and two customers place ahead of me I walked out. Their reason is that they don't have people to do them. Dear my El Monte people. On June 9 my sister and I went to PRETTY NAIL STUDIO located on Peak. I always get my gel manicure there, and never had a problem. So I decided to get a pedicure on that day, unfortunately the fallowing day I stared to feel pain on my big toe. Turns out I have this NASTY INFECTION, IT IS THE WORST EXCRUCIATING PAIN EVER!! I went to see my doctor, he said this happens a lot when technicians don't clean their tools correctly, hopefully it heals otherwise MY DOCTOR MIGHT HAVE TO REMOVE MY WHOLE NAIL AND DO AN INCISION!!Read Less

I used to come to these guys every few weeks! I went in after about 2 weeks after getting a gel nail and Tony said he was going to fix my nail. The polish came off completely on one nail. And the design was sloppy! I showed him a picture and it look so bad compared to the pic. But after 40 mins of having me wait and he brought me to his chair and told me he wasnt going to do it because it was time for me to get new gel. I disagreed politely because my nails usually last 4 weeks and then he told me no they dont they only last 2 weeks. I left very upset and I will never go here again! How can you tell someone when to get a gel? Ive been getting gel for like 4 or 5 years and they always last about 4 weeks. I was disappointed. Never again. My eyebrows were completely full before going in, thus no reason why my eyebrows would not have any arch to it once it was waxed. Wanting to get it over with I told her to proceed to the next brow only for her to become aggressive, pushing my head around and. I told her to stop, not even letting her finish the job due to being so rude and rough. She then threw the tweezers and other items down and walked out. Not to mention she got wax in my eyelashes as well. I will never recommend this place to nor spend my money here ever again. I did not become rude with these people and paid my money even though their service and attitude was beyond subpar. Good luck if you go after reading this review. You'll need it! Read Less

After today I will never waste my money here I ARRIVED HERE AT 6:20pm closing time is 7:30pm she wants me to get fills on a month old set of nails bcuz she wants to leave at 7:30pm mind you she left at 6:55pm I WANTED A NEW SET. It's my money my nails not asking for free service.....they are expensive but I don't mind wasting my money's worth! We came last week n the week b4 n she's always saying "we're busy" she just sits in her chair txing not doing anything 5 employees with her n only 2 customers and my sister n myself AND SHES TELLING ME TO GET JUST FILLS!!! If you come here only deal with Tony and/or his wife Kim. I went to get a pedicure with my sisters today and it was horrible! I specifically told the lady (I didn't even know her name) NOT to cut my toenails as I just had them cut 2.5 weeks ago. She cut them anyways and stabbed me with the tweezers! The polish job was sloppy and Tony had to repaint my left foot. I just went there 4 days prior and got my nails done. Love them and get complimented regularly on them. The other lady Tam cut my sister's foot with the buffer and it was bleeding. Rushed work, lack of attention for details, and no respect for the customers. I went there and Vam did my nails. He did an awesome design on all my nails. It was $56 including eyebrows. I go back 2 weeks later and get same things and he charges $68. No way did I go back. I paid $55 for a mani & pedi.  I am flabbergasted!!!  These Asians are nice at first. However, after providing a very poor and low grade serve,  They treated me like $#*@!!.  PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.  And, if you are black please don't go to them. This nail salon USED to be a good choice for my hand and foot grooming needs. Tony was my nail tech, but he is not there anymore. The ladies that did my pedicures and waxing (Wanda & Holly) are also gone. Van has been doing my nails of which I have had fungus growing under (2) of my nails as a result of his services. When this was brought to his attention his reply was "Oh (as if he couldn't see it there when he serviced me before) don't worry...it will grow out..." Also I had the WORST waxing job done by Teresa on my eyebrows-I had to correct her lousy job MYSELF at home. There hours read open until 8pm. I got there at 7:30pm and they told me there boss said everyone could leave early and the refused to do my nails.The shop is nice, but they wont be open long..... This salon is very nice, the employees very friendly.... there prices also seemed reasonable...... my MAIN ISSUES is that, I got a polish change on Saturday night at 7pm... Sunday morning 3 of my nails had polish chipping off... By Sunday I had to remove ALL the polish... I think they may have watered-down the polish too much. Read Less
