I never review businesses or products; but after reading some recent ridiculous reviews, I felt I needed to give an honest one. I’ve been coming to Star Nails for over 6 years to get my nails done. I bite my nails, so I always get acrylic nails applied, which then is finished with a gel/Shellac color of my choosing. I’ve NEVER had my gel polish chip, which might be due to the acrylic base, but I go get a fill every 4-6 weeks. I also wouldn’t go in for a chip fix 4 days later (after a summer holiday weekend) and demand a different color. Im always complimented on my mani’s & pedi’s b/c the owner (the wife) is a skillful artist and free hands designs and jewels on my accent finger when she isn’t backed up with ppl waiting. Since I’ve been going for years, I know them well enough and have seen the way some ppl treat them, which is horribly rude. They are a husband and wife team and they do NOT book appointments, walk-in only. If you come in and are told a 2 hour wait and leave to run errands and someone else drops by within that two hours and waits, why would you be shocked to come back and find out there’s still a wait? After getting my gel nails done Friday, the gel was chipping by Saturday. They were closed Sunday and Monday. I went to get them fixed on Tuesday. Wednesday they were chipping again. After asking for another color or my money back the male owner started screaming at me and his wife. She tried to fix the situation by just taking off the gel and giving me a new color, probably because I have been a loyal customer. Anyway, she got halfway done taking of the gel when he comes up and rips my hands out of the solution and pushes me back. Throws $25.00 at me and screams at me some more and yells at me to leave his store. This man ASSULTED ME!! The police were called and charges have been given. Do NOT get your nails done here!!!
