I gave this salon a second chance after a few years. I had broken a Dip nail. First off, they tell me they don’t have the colors I had on. Fine. I asked for glitter. I got sheer even after telling the man that I wanted glitter. He told me it was. I walked out with literally one sparkle on my nail. My go to place for mani and pedi! Catherine is wonderful! But really everyone there is great. Some may have better English then others but they are all polite and courteous! Definitely won't be returning. I walked in and was taken quickly. Don was the nail tech. I went in for a fill in. I left w polish all over my fingers, Rough finger nails, and the acrylic hardened powder all over the sides of my nails , parts of my nails are lifted. Not impressed at all. Had a 4 oclock apt and still waited for almost an hour. Finally sat with Danny to get started on an acrilic fill in. I asked for an Ombre American and even showed a picture. He said he couldnt do it. I then asked for a Regular American and he asked me to pick a color. He ends up forgetting and only doing tbe pink. Wben i reminded him he said he couldnt do that either....so i settled for French. What is worse is that the entire time i kept having to show... him his mistakes. A large gap between my natural nail and the tip he replaced, he made it wide and flat and diddnt match my other nails. He did try to fix it the best he could, and was starting to feel bad for complaining. Oh.....and forgot to mention the brown crust around the babyfood jars he used for the purple bonding liquid. And never cleaned his brushes. Next as i went to pay.......i almost fell over. I was quoted a $20 fill in. I figured 5 more for white tips and 5 more for repair. But that would have been only $30. My total for an acrylic fill w white tips and 1 nail repair was $40!!! For a crap job! And after leaving and looking closer, my nails ate extremely thick and unatural looking. I only tried this place because my elderly Mom wanted to try it out. I live local and will share this experience w my friends and coworkers. My friend and I both got our nails done today and they look fantastic. I got an acrylic full set and she got gel nails. I have been to a lot of different nail salons and this is by far the best set of nails I have gotten. The color, design, and shape I asked for all look fantastic. Everyone one there was so kind. I am seriously disappointed in this location. The first time I went a few weeks ago I was very impressed with how beautiful and nice the salon was and how everybody was so friendly. But today I went in to get a pedicure and a fill on my acrylic nails and I had taken in my own gel nail polish thinking that it wouldn't cost me extra to have my nails painted since I was providing the nail polish. I was wrong it turned out to be $92 in services. They told me it costs more to have your nails painted with gel because it takes longer for the employees to do it. I do not find that excuse acceptable. I think it's a great way to manipulate people and get more money out of them. I will not recommend anyone to go to the salon ever again. I think it depends on the person s mood. 2 visits there. First one was really good experience. The second was awful. She acted as though I interrupted her day. Called in a reservation and it got lost. Was in their spa for 2.5 hours to get 4 pedicures done. Wasn't asked if I had a color picked out or if I wanted any designs. Once my toes were done they put my shoes on and had me get out of the chair but not to a dryer or even after being sprayed! Needless to say within 2 hours of leaving my toe polish was chipped! I didn't want to go back to have them fixed even though I spent over $60, because I didn't want to deal with trying to get them to fix them. While there they even messed up on a regular customer! I called at 9 in the morning and made reservations for 4 pedicures at 11:30. When we got there they couldn't find my name and asked if I had called them. They still helped us but when we were sat down we had to wait. Our water was on the cold side and no one asked. The receptionist then came back and said who is getting a regular pedi and when I told her we were all getting the signiture, most expensive pedi, she was like "oh, well I will have to find someone who doesn't have... an appointment that would run into yours." Not my fault you lost my reservation and everyone else who was sat down was asked what kind of pedi they wanted. I even over heard that receptionist messed up an appointment on a regular customer. The nail technicians that my two sisters and I had did their jobs very well but only said hi and that was it. Not very friendly. My other sister's technician kept walking way during her pedi. It says "Walk Ins Welcome" on the door, DON'T BELEIVE IT! I was told I would have a 30 minute wait which I understood so I put my name on the list & went to do an errand. Got back a little less than 30 minutes later. After another 30 minutes (& finding 2 bad bottles of polish) I was seated for a pedicure. 35 minutes after soaking I still had not seen a technician & left. As I was leaving the snooty little receptionist asked, "Oh, you don't want to wait any longer?" I think an hour & 1/2 is enough waiting when I was told 30 minutes. I will not be returning to this place ever. I called around 1230 and made an apt for two pedicures at 2:45. I was never asked my name or anything. We got there about 5 minutes early, waited for 15 min. They sat us in our spa chairs with luke warm water on our feet. We sat there for another 30 mins before a tech even came over to us. Now 45 mins past appt time we each get a tech that just finished with other customers. We weren't given a spa menu or asked which package we wanted, never offered drinks, in fact there was no communication what so ever. My tech wouldn't even look at me the entire time, she did a horrible job on my toenails- they weren't cut even/the polish looks choppy. The massage was horrible- we chose the most expensive package offered, def not worth the money. Worst pedicure ever and I get my feet done regularly. I do not recommend going to this place. I made an appointment for my five granddaughters and my daughter-in-law for a manicure. I was impressed that they could do all of them at the same time! When the girls were done with their manicures, they sat in the pedicure chairs and enjoyed a brief massage while my pedicure was finished. I chose the fastest pedicure because I knew the manicures would be done before I was. It was still one of the best I've had in a long time. I rarely write reviews, but I felt I needed to for this place. The service is terrible, and they did a crap job on my nails. The woman started off by making all my cuticles bleed. she cut them way too low. So my nails hurt the entire time she was doing them and it wasn't relaxing at all. I figured she would at least apologize about that, but she acted like it didn't happen until I said something about it. She also didn't cut my nails evenly at all. But whatever, I can fix that myself. After two days, my no-chip gel was already chipped on almost every nail. I went in and they were so rude. The woman who fixed them had attitude the entire time, kept asking me "which ones are chipped?", and acted like I was making a big deal out of it or something. She could have just looked at my nails and noticed they were all chipped. Now my nail coats are uneven and it isn't smoothed out. I wish I didn't even waste my time going in to have them "fix" it. Ya know, when I think of the word Elite, I think of top notch, exclusive service. Maybe it should be called AJ Average because nothing really reflects elite service except the prices. I set my fiancé an appointment here for the afternoon before I proposed to her. I was a bit disappointed. I set her appointment at least three weeks out. Yet we waited 20 minutes while walk ins literally walked in and into an open chair. I didn't make any requests for a specific tech so I didn't understand that. Also, my lady told them she wanted a design. When she sat down and told her tech what kind she wanted, he said he didn't do designs. So we waited on another lady to come do that. That turned out to be Anna. Anna was really nice and funny. No issues with her. I'm just surprised that this was the "nicest" salon in Branson. A bit "wack" if you will. There was very little sitting space for someone waiting. One little couch (that a three year old was stretched across the whole time on his iPad). My lady kept noticing things that were going off about her nails. She liked the design...but the shape of the nails were not consistent. Worst manicure and pedicure!  First I had to wait 20 minutes which was fine because I did not have an appt.  The girl barely cleaned my cuticles on my pedicure and spent maybe 3 minutes total on my massage (the pedicure cost $42).  When she gave me my manicure she soaked my fingers in cold water and did not even bother to give me a massage!  She just sent me on my way!  I've been to this place about 6 times over the summer and this was the second bad pedicure and manicure.  Some of the older ladies are wonderful but I think they need to send the younger ones back to school! Okay. So this review is subject to change with some important improvement in the hygiene area. I have now visited this salon twice since moving back to Branson. And theres good and bad here. To start with the good. The salon itself is pretty. Nice pedicure chairs with great massage motions. They use liners in the basins and follow missouri law and don't use razors or graters on your feet. The manicure chairs are comfortable and the areas appear clean. The second trip in was a better success nail wise. I had Tania? As my tech, I was kinda nervous about trying the place again and being overly protective of my nails and she "put me in my place" lol and reassured me she would take care of me. She really did. She kept my nails short and told me why I should try the gel dip but was also open to hear feed back and learn about a new product I told her about. I like the dip so far. Its brand new so we shall see how it wears. The gel pedicure was the first trip. Still looks good. 4 weeks later. You get your own box with nail file and buffer for hygiene I'm guessing. I was super impressed with this feature as I'm a bit picky about this. The bad. First trip in. Im big into hygiene as I mentioned. Anyway the pedicure area isn't as... customized....to each individual. They used a previously used pumice, nail clippers, file, etc. Idk maybe if your gonna try to be hygienic do it in all  aspects. Shoot I'd pay extra for it. Nails.The owner did them and complained basically the whole way through about what I wanted. Saying it wasnt easy...blah blah blah. No joke if it was super easy I'd save my money and do it myself. Anyway. He did it and they looked good at the end but they broke in 2 days. I was going to go in to get them fixed but didn't really see the point. Eyebrows. 2nd trip in I needed my brows done badly!!! I prepaid with my nails to have them done.  Went to the back and sat down on a chair covered in a dingy beach towel. I looked around and saw...it...the filthy nasty eyebrow wax station.  I was so repulsed. I tried to talk myself into bucking up and just letting them do it as i had already paid but I couldnt and had to get my money back. When i asked for my money they seemed confused. I hope this helps clarify why I made my choice. I hate giving bad reviews but damn they need to fix this stuff. Pretty chairs and free drinks dont cover up poor hygiene practices. Read Less

I just recently moved from Memphis to Missouri and was in search for a nice nail salon and decided to try AJ Elite nail and spa. I have to say I nailed the spot for sure. I came in for a full pedi spa and manicure from moving and was treated by Peter the whole time. He advised me that the salon does not pass you to other technicians to finish a different treatment which I adore. My nails and feet look beautiful and feel wonderful. They also offer facials which I will get next time and will keep you updated. I can't wait to Return as they have a new dedicated customer. Read Less

I came in to get acrylics, and they were done fairly well, nothing special. The man who did mine were nice and finished super quickly, but they didn't have a lot of color options. Stopped by here while on vacation in Branson when my mom needed an emergency manicure for an interview she was having right after we got back from vacation. They had no problem taking us as walk ins for a gel manicure for mom and a pedicure for me. My manicurist was friendly but not overly talkative, which is perfect for me because I always find it stressful to chat with strangers and I always feel like they don't really wanna talk to me either lol. I got the classic pedicure for $30 and it last about 30 min. Really comfortable, good calf massage, nails look great. Really good experience overall. Would come back if I was ever in Branson again.
