Wife and I went together for pedicure. After discussing, decided it was an okay visit. I thought more of it but wife felt hers was a little short. Have to agree as ours ended at the sane time and I didn't get nails painted. So, where my time was spent getting feet/legs rubbed, a good amount of hers was apent getting nails painted and having them dry. I had a mini gender reveal session with Dani and it was a fabulous experience. I had a pedicure and got some light blue gel polish with sparkles on hands and feet and a lower leg wax. I’ve not gone anywhere else for manis or pedis since finding The Fixx. The only time I wasn’t 100% satisfied it had to do with the foil gel nail product not the service, and they offered a free pedi on the next visit because I didn’t have the time to redo and it wasn’t atrocious, just an odd ring around the nail caused by the gel colour the foil powder was set to. I would give 0 stars if I could. As soon as I walked in the door, the technician was on her phone and made me wait until she was done. Then she asked me what I was in for even though I booked an app. explaining what I wanted. She argued with me (in a very rude manner) when I asked to take an old set off and replace with a new set when she insisted on a fill. She proceeded to be very short with me and insulted the shape I had on my old set. Finally, she complained non stop about what she didn’t like about her boss and the store. Worst pedicure ever. I soaked for 20 to 25 minutes, my actual pedicure lasted 10 to 15 minutes. Absolute bare minimum was done. Being a licensed cosmetologist I have a high standard for services but will give service providers the benefit of the doubt. Never going back. Read Less

My first and last time I will be at this salon. I was a walk in so I expected to wait even though there was no one waiting in front of me. 30 minutes later, I asked how much longer. Finally, got a chair. The woman that did my nails hurt me when trying to push back my cuticles. The towel still have someone else's nail clippings on it. The water wasn't changed. She clipped my nails short which I thought my nails were a good length when I came in. They only needed shaping. A few positive remarks, the price was fair at $20 and the technican sitting at the station next to mine tried to ask me questions since my tech spoke very little English. I did like the gentleman's personality that greeted me at the door. Very personable. Bottom line, I have had better at other salons so I guess I will be on the lookout for a good salon. Read Less

The first time I came here I loved it. This time; however, it was the worst nail experience I've ever had! The lady was so distracted that she only massaged my right leg and was so rough with the exfoliating scrub that my skin on my right leg is raw! The whole nail service was rushed. I've gone here several times but the services keeps declining. Not only do will they see a walk-in who came after you before you if they know them, they damaged my nails. I asked to have me acrylic nails removed and instead of soaking them off they used a plastic nail to dig under them and rip them off!!! I told the technician that it hurt but she continued. So I tried this place out twice, giving them the benefit of the doubt the first time. I won't be returning. It wasn't the WORST experience I've had but it was far from a "good" one. The entire time I felt like I was rushed. My friend and I went in to get the same service done (basic manicure) but weren't treated the same, nor did they perform the same service at all. No cuticle care, no filing or shaping (I had to ask and it still wasn't done well) and she didn't even get all of my old polish off and it definitely shows through the new polish. This is the closest nail salon to my house, I've tried multiple times to get my nails done and these last 2 have made it to where I will NEVER return! 2 weeks ago I went and waited 30 minutes, it's finally my turn and they took a girl that had just walked in (no appointment!) Today was my first time going there and I was very impressed! Was in and out in 50 minutes with a pedicure and full gel set. Very friendly no miscommunication stated what I wanted and was given exactly what I asked for. I've been getting my nails done for 8 years at various locations in KC metro area and this is one of the best in my opinion. The location is easy to find, clean and affordable. I LOVE this salon. My first visit was 10 minutes before they closed - I felt bad and said I could come back the next day, they wouldn't have it saying it's no problem and they are happy to stay! These are great people. To the post about "she must not have known English and barely spoke"....Is this your first nail salon experience? Joanne is an amazing woman who takes the time to do things right, is incredibly personable and very talented with great massage chairs. I have never had my nails or feet done on a regular basis but since the first time my friend and I went to Fixx Nails I am a changed woman and have been going back pretty much every 3 weeks and always walk away happy and feeling that little bit extra feminine with the coolest nails ever! People compliment my nails every time I change them up. For those of you who have had gel nails before, I can honestly say I have never really liked what they did to my nails but she has made me a true convert! I have always been shy about my feet. My feet swollen and had serious pain. I hated showing them to people. I would have explain myself over and over again about my legs. 1) In response to the previous review: the manager is not a man. Perhaps you have the wrong business.2) You must try Ruby Nails! They have an $18 pedi.special which can't be beat. They have amazing chairs, leg massages and the hot towel wraps. They do the best nail art I have personally ever seen. It.is incredibly clean and decorated nicer than any other nail salon I've been to. Very trendy and comfortable! Ntt entire family and several friends go here and they all love it as well. I got my nails done there and in a week they were falling off. I will never send anyone I know there. after I called and they said they would fix them the manager called me from his personal phone yelling at me that he shouldn't have to fix it since they had already fixed one and I didn't tip her again so they didn't need to fix it.
