Envy nails was the only nail tech I’ve experienced because I thought the atmosphere was great and it was a very relaxing place to go to to get your nails done, but they never have the exact color I want and they always telling me what’s cute when I really don’t like it. Also, every since they’ve expanded their building, they’re always charging an additional $3 for something and they’ve also went up on prices. Yesterday was my first time visiting Envy Nails. I just needed a fill and my friend needed a full set. The atmosphere was nice and the wait wasn't long. One nail tech started on my nails and was called away to do a pedicure. Another one took over, and by then my friend and I both decided we wanted to try chrome colors. The gentleman doing my nails calculated and told me my total would be $55. He did my acrylic and my gel top coats but told the others he didn't know how to do the chrome so someone else would have to do it. He repeatedly told all of them which number I had chosen for my chrome. Meanwhile my friend had chosen a unicorn chrome color she liked. Her tech started on her and she wound up with a color that looks like a scarab beetle. Then she was told it would be too time consuming to take it off even though it wasn't what she asked for. Finally my new tech came to put my chrome on, I chose the basic silver, which again, the previous tech REPEATEDLY told them. She started on my little finger and it was the unicorn color my friend had chosen. I told her that wasn't right, she kept saying it was pretty. I'm assuming it was the manager sitting next to her saying "oh, you can have an accent nail and do one on the other hand". I told my tech to take it off because it wasn't what I asked for. When finally finished, my $55 bill turned out to be $81. My friend said they were nice enough to take a whole $3 off her bill since she wasn't happy with her color. Today, some of the chrome has already come off the edges of my nail and it's down to the black under coat-I'm guessing because the tech rushed through putting on my clear top coat. I have been going here for years now and I must say, after my visit today, I may have to find a new nail salon. I heard they are under new management, and if this is true, that may explain things a little better. Every since the old owners’ absence, things have really gone downhill and it’s so disappointing to witness. The service is very unprofessional. And not directly pointing the finger at the nail techs but more so at management. Today, after a very long wait, I finally got in the pedicure chair. While getting my feet done the manager told my nail tech she was being requested, and that she was going to get someone else to do my nails. Before she could even put a top coat on my toe polish, I was escorted to the next station for my manicure where she had to leave to work on someone else (who came in after me by the way) while I had to sit and wait for my services to be finished. After another wait another nail tech came and carelessly started on my nails very rushed and very rough, breaking two of my NATURAL NAILS in the process. Right after she applied one coat the same manager told her to go work on someone else right in the middle of her doing my nails. So at this point I’ve seen people come in after me leaving before me, still missing toe polish, and now on my 3rd nail tech. The service today was so horrible but sadly this wasn’t the first time that this has happened recently. I use to come to envy knowing every time I would walk out feeling great and loving my nails, but today I walked out very disappointed, and frustrated with subpar (broken) nails. I've been using this place for about 5 years now and they are INCREDIBLE!!! Some days there is a lengthy wait time, but it is well worth it. Love this nail salon! They did a great job on my gel manicure and polish change on my toes. It’s very busy but worth the wait. Disappointed is an understatement. The manager Nick and nail technician which I believe was underage/lacked license were extremely rude. The nail technician yelled at me during the service when I asked her to redo my toenail and then refused to complete the service. The atmosphere was loud and a crying baby was allowed to sit in the service area. This is my second time visiting this nail salon and I will not return. I called on Friday trying to schedule an appointment, this salon accepts walk-ins only. On Monday I visited and was told there would be an hour wait, and against my better judgement I stayed. On this day they were closing at 4 due to an emergency (however they were still taking appointments until 4pm). What I didn't understand is if you have an emergency that needs to be tended to, why still take customers which will prolong the time you are in the salon😕 Fast forward to the lady doing my nails. As a darker complexioned female please don't tell me what will look good on me. At the end of the day I'm paying you for a service I want. I can't believe I haven't reviewed already. I started going here after my mother visited a couple of times and wouldn't stop saying how wonderful it is. I went not sure what to expect since normal polish always chipped off and my nails weren't that strong. Now nearly a year on I can safely say my nails are in wonderful condition. All the girls are friendly and so professional. I can honestly say that both I and my mum always look forward to our visit. I've really debated about this review... for months, actually. I don't get my nails done very often, but I have had them done several times in the past so I know a good treatment when I get one. My friend wanted to treat me so we went to this salon. She got me the jelly treatment, glass of wine, the whole thing. It was one of the most painful experiences of my life. The girl clipped and pulled and jerked my cuticles - she was so rough! She just kept talking to her friend about going out that night and I was almost in tears. I've always taken really good care of my hands and feet so the pain was absolutely unnecessary. I didn't say anything because my friend was so sweet to treat me. I finally decided to go back a couple of days later (I HATE complaining) because my fingers and toes were so sore I couldn't touch them. I was taking ibuprofen several times a day. I spoke to the manager who made no offer to refund my friend (who gets her nails done every week there) or any other offer, for that matter. Visited Envy Nails at 10:50 a.m. I was told that there would be an hour wait and that I could come back, which I did at 11:50 a.m. I was then told that there were still four people ahead of me and that it would be an additional thirty minutes. Thirty minutes later, I was having a full set soaked off and a new set put on. Nick did an exceptional job and the atmosphere is very nice. I had been a faithful client for almost a year. 2016 that is, Nick which is the owner did my nails and I was totally dissatisfied. First of all he needs to leave managing solely to his wife who does an awesome job. He can't handle managing and doing nails. To make a long story short I came back on the date they said he did nails. After I requested him he decided to have someone else to do my nails and he sat down beside me not once but twice and did other people nails. If I pay and tip I should get who I want . I came here on Dec 30th for a shellac manicure and pedicure. Long wait but pretty good service. However to my dismay the day after my polish is chipping after paying $45 for chrome. Think it was a result of the tech filing my nails after the shellac. Something told me to stop her but didn't. On the way here I called and asked if I cld be put on the wait list cause I'm being inconvenienced having to come back when I waited an hour yesterday to be serviced but she said no I'd have to wait. I called back to speak to the manager and she said she was the manager but had no authorization to put me on the list and that I shld come in and wait. Very poor customer service. I'm appalled that they wouldn't rush to correct this issue and I have to sit and wait possibly up to an hour again to get my nails corrected. It's New Year's Eve and my bday. I had no plans of spending another hour of my life in this salon after being here 3.5 hours yesterday for a service that usually takes 1 hour to complete. I have been going to cheap nails bars for about 4 years now, after our last appointment and finding out they all seemed to be getting raided me and my daughter decided it was time to go to a PROPER nail bar. I cannot tell you the difference. No smell of chemicals, no drills and pleasant staff we were in there for over two hours but you felt pampered and special not just like you're on a production line. Went to Envy Nails today for a manicure.  I was pleasantly surprised with the service that I received.  Lilly was my technician and she did spoil me with the attention that she gave to my manicure.  She was fantastic.  The salon had so many different shades of nail polish, shellac, etc. to choose from.  I chose a shade that I have never worn before and like it a lot.  Will be going back soon for my pampering and new adventure. I've gone to this location for my nails several times, and they always do an amazing job! Be prepared to wait for a bit though, because they are always busy. The only thing I don't like about this place is the receptionists that are at the desk upon entering. They NEVER greet upon signing in. I walked in today to sign in and they didn't even acknowledge me. They kept on talking and doing whatever they were doing on the computer. They should really learn customer service. I went here for the first time because I heard that they were really great at nails. I attempted to go one time prior to this visit and they were too crowded- no where to park so I left and decided to return on a weekday. I finally went and it was AWFUL!! The nail tech I had ( Tonya  I think was her name) was not friendly at all! I asked for short and narrow and she gave me short and extra wide. When I requested that she file them more narrow as originally requested, she tried to charge me an additional $5. I told her that I was not paying her anything additional because I informed her before she started what I wanted and if she couldn't deliver, she should have said so from the beginning and placed me with someone that could provide me with the service I wanted and paying for. She continued to suggest soaking them off for me that I finally said ok; although I really didn't want to because it takes so long. The owner Nick came over after she was talking to him in their language and his attitude from the moment he come over was disgusting! He said something to me real fast and walked away--I didn't even catch it. Then he came back and said well as far as soaking them off, we already did your nails. I said to him that the nail tech suggested that I soak them off. As I began to explain the situation to him, he rolled his neck and walked away. At that point, I was done and was just ready to go. I didn't even let them polish my nails. My experience was simply disgusting and I will NEVER, EVER GO HERE AGAIN NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Don't let the swanky décor and the complimentary beverage fool you; that comes with any descent nail shop along with great service and customer service, which this place was truly lacking. Read Less

I was trying to find a nail shop quickly, due to I had plans and needed something convenient. When I walked in there was a waiting room and a couple of people were waiting. The decor is beautiful...reminds me of upscale nail shops in Miami. I thought to myself that I would be waiting 30 minutes plus, especially when a guy at the front desk prompt me to sign in. I was seated for about 5 minutes, and a nail tech came to my rescue. Complimentary beverages are served no matter what type of service you receive(sodas, water, & wine). Husband & I came in & there was a long wait but it    Didn't take long once we ran out to get a coffee. They were very professional & took their time in helping me pick out the best polish for my shellac' nails. The tech actually tried 2 colors on different toes before I decided. I appreciated this!! This is my second time here, the last time I went a lady who had done my nails at another nail salon did my nails here. I never liked the way she did my nails at the previous salon and didn't like them that time either so I continued searching for a good quality nail salon. My sister goes here and raves about it so for Christmas my mom got us each a gift certificate. I thought "great" but I told myself if I got that same lady I'd just ask for someone else. I walked in and it was super busy (I went at 2p on a Saturday). I waited about 30min which was fine, I knew there'd be a wait considering it was Saturday. When it was finally my turn I was escorted back to my table and a man started right away. He greeted me and was friendly and offered a drink, he said they had wine, I said sure and he told the lady that brought me to my table. He did good work. He even made sure all my nails were even and the same length. Since my gift certificate was for more than my total I asked for a design on 2 fingers. So for a full acrylic set and design on 2 nails it was $28, that's about normal around here. Since I made a last minute decision for designs I didn't know what I wanted so I just said something simple since my polish was a very nude color. Another guy came over to do the design and I told him the same, simple. I asked for silver maybe a little glitter. I ended up with neon color cheetah print LoL I guess he drew his inspiration from my wallet which is multicolored cheetah print. Not really what I was looking for but it didn't bother me enough to complain. All in all it was a good visit. They were very busy but have a very structured system so there's no confusion like at other salons. You sign in when you arrive so they know who goes next after every guest. After searching for a nail salon for 4.5 years in the Southaven/OB area, I will look no further! From the time you're greeted at the door until your nails are dry, the service is wonderful, top-notch and their work is great! They spend time on you, unlike most other salons in this area. Last week was my second time stopping in and I received a shellac manicure. While the complimentary drink was nice, I was very disappointed by my nail tech. Not only did she seem to run through the event, but she also left shellac around my nails and under the nails, as well. She did not clean up my cuticles. She also apparently misunderstood what I meant when I said I wanted to keep the length in my nails and filed them down anyway. Finally, the hand massage you usually receive at the end of service was her rubbing a small dose of lotion on them and then reusing a napkin the wipe it off. Wow. Pitiful performance!The icing in the cake, my shellac is already starting to chip A WEEK after application. Shellac usually stays on me for 3-4 weeks without any issue. Read Less

This is a great place to get a mani/pedi. It is very, very clean, and nicely decorated with a relaxing atmosphere and soothing music. Make sure you choose jelly pedicure, it is definitely worth it. I have to admit if you walk in on Saturday even if you get there before they open be prepared to spend some time waiting. These people are GOOD! Now keep in mind that I'm not a regular at any nail place but I've been here 2 times in 6 months, once for a manicure and today for a pedicure. I was throughly pleased with both. The staff is excellent and they take their time, very professional and interact positive with each other involving the clients making it a fun atmosphere. They assisted me in picking out the best color of polish (I'm probably the only female that doesn't own a bottle of nail polish) that would look good and stay fresh longer. I love visiting and meeting other clients even though I read the paper too. They offer you drinks of choice and make sure you are comfortable. If you come in ask about the wait time and the receptionist will gladly let you know including call you if you want to leave your info. I got there at 9:50 (they open at 10:00), and was seen at 11:15 and was finished about 12:45. I normally don't like to spend this much time but I was treating myself and the housework could wait! I have been going to this salon since November 2014 and have received satisfactory services. However, on my last visit the services I received were way under par. I requested a pedicure along with a manicure and shellac nails. Their ad states the pedicure is at least 30 minutes, mine may have been 20 minutes. The shop was full so when she finished my pedicure the tech proceeded to give me a dry manicure, which means no water, lotion or anything wet was involved. I do plan to speak with the owners. Awesome nail spa! I usually go during early afternoon hours on weekdays when there isn't much of a wait. They offer beverage with each service and it is free of children under 7 or 8. Generally I get jelly pedis and shellac and I always feel like they gave a great service. Ivy is my personal favorite because she gets all the nooks and crannies ;-) but they are all great and make a point to know their regulars by name. I was quite disappointed when I visited Envy Nails today. I walk in and see about 5 people waiting and sign-in for a pedicure. Now I was rushing today to get ahead of the rush! The greeter informs me that there are 19 people ahead of me! I turn toward the lobby again because surely I can't count! I ask if he was referring to the customers who were being serviced? He said no, there was a waiting list of people who had came and left. I responded that I would have to wait behind them and I am actually sitting here? I told them no problem and left. I cannot say enough good things about this place. There none of the bright lights or cheap decor that seem to be the norm with other nail salons. Not really the loud chit chat either. The waiting area is separated from the actual salon with a half wall. You sign in and they pull a box with your own nail file and buffer. Nice touch.Then the best part....they have complimentary drink service. Wine, mimosas, water, soft drinks. Makes relaxing that much easier.If you want a pedicure they have a pedicure menu for you to look at. The basic pedi is $30 but they have ones that include more and go up in price. $30 will get you the same pedicure you get everywhere else.Now for nails..everything I've seen is pretty much the same price as other places. I just moved from out of state. I'm a city girl with my own nail lady for the past 7-8 years. Tried other salons when I first moved but, the experience was amazing I will def come again. My favorite nail salon! This is a huge place, suppppper clean, i mean is very sanitizeeeeee and it's always spotless. The staff are so sweet, friendly and I've never been unhappy with any service. Pedicure and Gel polish manicure. They offer hundreds ( i mean alot 500+ ) of gel polish colors, and always have new color, compared to other salons that may only have 15 or so. They are hidden away from the main street but always busy. Best of all, they are open on Sunday...almost all nail salons are closed on Sundays. I highly recommend. Read Less

My favorite nail salon in the city. I don't live nearby, but it is completely worth 50 min the trip in my opinion. I go for the pedicures, and I haven't found better pedicures anywhere in Southaven.The place is beautiful and extremely clean and everyone that works here is extremely sweet and spends a long time giving you a very intensive pedicure.
