Do NOT go here. Read this review! I was incredibly disappointed with my whole experience at la mystique. My hair stylist, Kayla, barely said anything to me the whole time I was there. She wasn't warm and welcoming, and no one made me feel comfortable. I had to tell her that I didn't want much off for her to say "so you're thinking an inch?" as she had the scissors in her hand...was she just going to cut how she thought I wanted without asking first? Then, since I scheduled a wash cut and style, I figured my hair would at least look smooth and styled nicely. However, it was thick and sticky because she overused product, and frizzy and fluffy from the blow dryer since she didn't use any styling technique. I left knowing I would have to wash it again at home, and felt like  I just dropped $50 for nothing. Then, I noticed my bangs were uneven and not blended whatsoever to the rest of my hair. I went to another salon for a bang trim, and the hairdresser shook her head in disbelief at how uneven and choppy and unblended my haircut was and ended up fixing someone else's mistake for me because she felt so bad....if that doesn't say something, I don't know what does. I will never go to la mystique again, and I am advising all of my friends to do the same. Read Less

This is the only place I like to take my daughter to get her hair cut. She wears a short bob with bangs, and while that might seem like a simple cut, other places have failed to cut her hair to my satisfaction. La Mystique is a great place to take your kids for their cuts, but it is good for adults, also. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very kind and patient with customers who have children. My daughter's cuts average about $15, depending on how long her hair has grown in between cuts (simpler trims cost less). The interior decor provides a nice ambiance, as well. They are usually pretty busy, so you will need to make an appointment, but it is never too loud in the salon. Read Less

I can't say enough good things about Cindi. She's probably one of the best colorist in Oxford. She fixed my horribly, gone-wrong "ombré" I had done at another salon. She knows exactly what she's doing and she would never have you looking like a fool, unlike the previous place I went to. Reasonable prices, very friendly staff. La Mystique is a TERRIBLE business. I had a check stole from me about a year ago, and I won a dispute with my bank about the fraudulent check and had it revoked (very easy to tell that I didn’t write the check). It was then turn back to La Mystique as an invalid check. Without contacting me or my bank, the people at La Mystique decided to report the invalid check to the credit bureaus. Let me repeat that, La Mystique took at invalid fraudulent check that was stolen from me and reported it to the credit bureaus. After pulling my credit, I was shocked to learn that not only did they report the invalid check to the bureaus, but they did it twice. I recently contact them and asked them how it is they can report a stolen check on a person who has never been to their AWEFUL salon. But, how it is they can just continue to add money in dues to the credit bureaus. Their response “well you owe us money”. Be for-warned DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINEES TO THESE HORRIBLE PEOPLE. There are much better, honest salons in oxford and for cheaper. All they care about it is money and not service. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON AND DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THESE PEOPLE. Only been here once so far, and it was a pretty friendly and nice family-run place.  My haircut was fine--I just got a simple bob, nothing fancy.  Pricing is pretty reasonable: $25 for women's cuts, $15-20 for men's cuts.  Open Saturdays until noon, closed Sundays.  Next door to Papa John's.  Walk-ins accepted.  Credit cards accepted.
