I'm in Virginia visiting from NY for thanksgiving. I needed to get my nails done. My daughter's friends recommended VIP nails and I gave them a shot. I love the place and the nail tech lily. I arrived at about 4pm for a pedicure, my first reaction was wow this is a beautiful place & it was but too bad the people did not belong there!! Slow, There were 2 girls who were nice and the only 2 that seemed to have any care about the job! The girl who did my pedicure Had no personality never smiled and I swear she drove me absolutely insane chomping her gum the entire time , Then when I asked for a service to be done they pawned me off on a man and when asked to do it he... said no so then they had to find someone else to do it I arrived at 4 and left at 615 FOR A PEDICURE THATS IT!!!!!! also what shocked me was they had a full staff BUT only 2people that performed acrylic (but about 5pm another lady named Lily showed up whom was very sweet finally finished my toes) everyone else was basically manis/pedis I assume.. I've been going to VIP Nails for several months, I would give them a 4. 5 star. The manicures &, pedicures are wonderful, but the time management needs Improvement. Even, with an appointment, I still have to wait at least 30 minutes. Again this place is wonderful just need some help in the management of appointment times. I was a walk in my first time at this salon, (they were suggested to me by a friend), so with that being said, I wasn't expecting to be serviced right away, but I was taken right away. I asked for "coffin" shaped nails. My nails were uneven, and all different shapes and did not last 2 weeks. I had a spa pedicure done which was great. I decided to give them one more try, so I made an appointment with someone the receptionist suggested for 2 weeks. I arrive for my appointment a...nd was told that person no longer works here. I got no phone call to reschedule ahead of time so I was serviced by someone else who clearly was rushed for time. My nails came out decent, but I felt rushed and I felt I was inconveniencing the tech which could of been avoided if I was properly notified ahead to reschedule. I like this place because of the clean environment and pleasant atmosphere, but the main reason that keeps me coming back is my Nail Tech Michael! He does a great job and is very friendly! I would have given this business a 4 if my toe nail polish didn't start coming off the next day. I got a Nu Pedicure on the 19th of May, the next day it started chipping off. I am a stay at home mom, so I don't do anything too active where it would cause this to happen. I went with my friend for the first time here and her toe nail polish has also started coming off. It completely came off on one toe. My big toes are missing quite a bit of polish as well as few two little toes. Very disappointed. We won't be back. Read Less
