Wavelengths is the best hair salon, hands down! All of the staff are professional, caring and make sure you are more than comfortable during your appointment. Mrs. Gale is extremely knowledgeable and talented (she has been doing my hair for 8 years) and in my personal opinion, goes above and beyond to explain different techniques, coloring options, and what will not only look best but also BE best for your hair. She genuinely takes the time with you to listen to what you want and also explain what she can do to make sure your hair not only looks great, but is also the healthiest in achieving what you want (they have so many different types of treatments to choose from and everything used and done in the salon is top notch). She REALLY cares; she's an angel! You WILL NOT find another salon that comes close to what Wavelengths offers in overall customer service, professionalism, knowledge of color/products/treatments/hair, atmosphere (the salon is GORGEOUS), and friendliness. I always feel like I'm at a spa while I'm there, and the salon shop has everything you could ever possibly need or want! If I was ever unsure of what I needed, Mrs. Gale and Shane have always shown me which product(s) would work best and explained why. I cannot say enough good things about her, Shane, Destin and all of the others that work here. They are truly AMAZING people and amazing at what they do!

Wavelengths Hair Salon does a fantastic job. I started going to Gale several years ago after I asked a friend who did her hair. Ever since, I have been so impressed with the entire operation at Wavelengths; they can get you in with little notice and there is no wait time upon arrival. Gale and her team wash, cut and style my hair in less than an hour, and the final product is eye-catching! Now I've had people ask me who does my hair, and I'm happy to recommend Gale. In fact, my whole family now goes to Wavelengths!

I have been a customer at Wave Lengths for probably 20+ plus years. The salon is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The staff is customer focused, they have continuing education and keep up with the latest techniques, styles and products. When my regular stylist isn't available every stylist is more than capable of meeting your expectations. I've never had a bad experience.

I made a same day appt with shane, wanting to cut my hair short because I've been so frustrated with curly, bushy hair. From the moment I stepped in I was welcomed by a friendly staff. Shane talked with me about what bothered me and we came to the conclusion of doing a treatment that would calm my hair down, color and a shoulder length bob cut. I absolutely love it. It is silky and straight, something I have never have. The color is great. Everyone who worked with me was awesome. I don't see a need to visit any other salon. I highly recommend them. Family owned and operated, so you'll be supporting your community in the process.

I had an amazing experience at the salon and couldn't recommend them more. My appointment was with Shane, who was or is I should say, one of the owners with an amazing personality and attitude. I have been to a lot of different salons all over the place, and currently I live in Los Angeles. I had a little bit of apprehension going to a salon I had never been to before, but they came highly recommended from a friend. I'm really glad I took the suggestion of coming here; I got a cut and a color at an extremely reasonable price, and the overall experience was great. I love and respect the fact that it is family owned and operated, and with so many assistants around and willing to help I got in and out in under two hours. Which is unheard of for me because I have a lot of hair. Check them out and be well :)

Shane is a genius! I colored my hair at home and it turned yellow, he corrected it to my natural color, what I was born with. I'm forever grateful and will let him do my color from this day forward....

Worst manicure ever!!! I'm new to Sherwood and thought I would give them a try but it was so rough and then when a nail fell off they didn't stand by their work and charged me to fix a bad manicure.

I'm very disappointed. I spent over 200 bucks, she didn't trim the area I asked, the highlights you can't see, only my roots appear to have been colored the rest of my hair looks red. I gave two stars...
I'm very disappointed. I spent over 200 bucks, she didn't trim the area I asked, the highlights you can't see, only my roots appear to have been colored the rest of my hair looks red. I gave two stars because the shampoo was awesome but it wasn't worth the money. I will never go back.

I have short hair (men's length) and on the recommendation of someone at work made an appt for a cut and color. I am a traveler and in a different location every 13 weeks.The color was fine. Let me tell you about the cut...Once my stylist (the owner) started cutting my hair she asked me if I wanted it blow dried. What? Is that not PART of a $45 haircut? Apparently not here. Though when I called about pricing I was not informed that if I wanted it dried it would be an extra $30. You read that right. $30 to dry hair as short as mine. How does any good stylist know if the cut is good until it is dried and styled. Especially short hair. A lot of my texture is usually cut once dried. When I told her that was ridiculous she told me I could dry it myself. Really? What kind of customer service is this? I told her there was no way. After she was finished I had to ask for it shorter on both sides and went home with wet hair. Once home I realized I had dye on my forehead and hair stuck all over my neck and face. The next morning when I went to style it I actually had to cut a few areas myself that were sticking out. Something that SHOULD have been done once it was dried and styled at the salon.If you want a true professional then avoid this salon. I could have gotten the same quality cut, color and service at a Supercuts.

I decided to dye my hair a light auburn color. But I showed my hairstylist a picture of darker hair that I liked. I decided to go with the darker thinking we could lighten it to the auburn color if I disliked the result. Well I did. So we added highlights and lowlights. The front part of my hair was red but underneath a dirt brown. So in the morning as early as possible I called Wavelengths to fix my impulsive hairstyle. Gail, the owner, worked me into her schedule. I dyed my hair a dark auburn trying to get it to look like Scarlet Johansen's new hair color. But the color did not look good on me. I showed Gail a picture of what I wanted. She then put highlights in my hair before re-dying it red/auburn. The color is perfect...harmony between brown and red that I was searching for. The highlights added before dying help de-tensify the red tones. I couldn't be happier with the helpful attitude at Wavelengths. While washing my hair, the stylist massaged my neck. Before dying my hair, she placed some kind of balm along my hairline to keep the dye from dying my skin. The first salon didn't do either of these things or give me a uniform hair color.

Everyone is extremely rude here. If you do not like your highlights when they are through, they are very ugly about fixing it. They will even ask you to pay for it a second time. They like to get you in and out as fast as possible. I would not recommend my wost enemy to get their hair done here.

Ever since, I have been so impressed with the entire operation at Wavelengths; they can get you in with little notice and there is no wait time upon arrival. The staff is customer focused, they have continuing education and keep up with the latest techniques, styles and products. Shane talked with me about what bothered me and we came to the conclusion of doing a treatment that would calm my hair down, color and a shoulder length bob cut. I absolutely love it. I had an amazing experience at the salon and couldn't recommend them more. My appointment was with Shane, who was or is I should say, one of the owners with an amazing personality and attitude. I have been to a lot of different salons all over the place, and currently I live in Los Angeles. I'm very disappointed. I spent over 200 bucks, she didn't trim the area I asked, the highlights you can't see, only my roots appear to have been colored the rest of my hair looks red. I gave two stars because the shampoo was awesome but it wasn't worth the money. I will never go back.

Everyone is extremely rude here. If you do not like your highlights when they are through, they are very ugly about fixing it. They will even ask you to pay for it a second time. They like to get you in and out as fast as possible. I would not recommend my wost enemy to get their hair done here.
