Very nice staff/owners and reasonable prices. I got good vibes as soon as I walked in to the salon and was cheerfully greeted. I was supposed to have a small wait time, since I walked in without an appointment and they seem to stay busy, but I ended up being brought back pretty quickly. Omg dude. I got the SNS nail polish done and for one that shit is just cool. I've gotten it done before but it ended up being very thick and chunky and gross but when I got it done today, I was hesitant but TIEN said he was trained properly to do it, so I went ahead. Well let me tell you!!!! I don't know if I've just always had bad nail salons but he is just so gentle with my worn out hands. As a girl that's been in the service industry for 7+ years and just getting out of it, trying to repair the years of damage to my hands. This man just made my fingers look new and there was absolutely NO PAIN before or after. My sister also got the SNS dip powder but she got acrylic tips put on and she is just as satisfied as I am. Being someone who gets regular manicures and pedicures I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly. This salon is hands down the best on the coast. The staff is wonderful. The atmosphere is so relaxing. You are offered a beverage as soon as you sit down and my complimentary coffee was so good. I think I snagged a jem of a manicurist, Oahn. She was cheerful and informative and gave me an overall wonderful service. My nails and toes have never looked so good. I am counting down the days until I go back for my next service. Best mani/pedi hands down! The salon is always clean, everyone is friendly, and they do a great job! My pedi always lasts a month, never chips. With the new SNS dip, my nails last a month too! The Staff was super friendly and welcomed me as soon as I arrived but they are slow! They never mention how long I would have to wait and I waited for over an hour before anybody came to get me. There were maybe 5 customers in the shop and by the time I sat down there were only 3 people left in the store. Even after I waited for over an hour they still took the woman that showed up 30 minutes after me, first. I'm not sure why I had to wait so long but they are beyond slow here or understaffed. The bathrooms were dirty and their polish selection was next to nothing. Not very impressed with my experience but I Had to get my nails done quickly before a friends wedding. Came to Mississippi for a much needed 4 day vacation. Went to have a pedicure done first at a place called California nails. We walked in and just didn't seem friendly. So I got onto yelp and found Alex Nail Spa. We got in there and everyone spoke. The owner asked questions and explained everything. This place is absolutely beautiful. My mom got a fill by the owner. They're  so fierce. I got my pedicure and the lady was amazing!! SOOOOOO relaxing. She told me a lot of tourists come in there. A lot of people that lived here don't really know about them. I would come in from Texas just to get my pedicures. (If I was ballin in the dough). So this place is a go to place for a manicure and or a pedicure. Read Less

I had an absolutely amazing experience here. Alex truly taught us what an exceptional nail salon experience is. My mom and I were in Mississippi for a family reunion. My nails were looking terrible, and I desperately needed a new gel polish manicure. So I persuaded my mom to head over and get our nails done. Alex was so nice and very informative of the different types of gel polish products out there that are unhealthy for your nails. And I know he didn't just say this to try and persuade me that only the products he used were the best, just to keep our business - he knew we're from California, so our business wouldn't be worth the effort. He even told me, "When you get back to California, look for ________ at the nail salons." He won't lie to you, just to get more money. The woman who did my moms nails also was super honest - my mom didn't know if she just wanted polish or the whole manicure, with the manicure being more expensive. When my mom asked if she needed to get the whole manicure, the woman at the salon told her that she didn't think she needed it and would be fine with just the polish. In this situation, she could have lied and told my mom she needed the manicure just to get more money. And not to mention, our nails looked awesome walking out of there! I came here because I was in town and wanted to get my nails done. Yelp highly recommended this place, as do I. I pulled up in my jazzy vehicle looking fly but left looking even more fly. The spot is in a not so nice shopping center but inside is clean and calming. The staff and owner is very friendly and conversational. There was no wait. I got a pedicure. They keep their tools very clean. They also open brand new tools for your use only and you are able to take them home when done. All the nail polish is OPI. One of the girls gave me a super cute design on my big toe. If I lived here, this would be my spot. They also have a points system to get a free nail service after so many purchases there. Just came into town and desired a mani/pedi. My fellow Yelpers directed me to here and I'm so glad they did. It's one of the nicer nail salons I've visited. The salon is extremely clean, the technicians were friendly, the massage (leg more than hand) had enough pressure to make a difference, and the finished product looks great. Admittedly the surrounding shopping center gave me momentary pause, but it could not have been a better experience. Highly recommended. Read Less

Stopped in because it was close to a restaurant we ate at. What a find! It was the day before my wedding and I needed to find a nail color that worked for my beach wedding. I am from out of state and had no clue where to find a good nail salon. My nail tech was helpful, professional and all around wonderful. I knew my nails weren't going to make it through vacation so I turned to yelp for recommendations.  Alex's was near our condo and sounded good so the daughter and I headed there on a rainy afternoon.  They weren't busy, possibly due to the rain, so we were both taken care of immediately.  We didn't need manicures, just a gel color change.  They had a nice selection of colors and we were in and out very quickly.  Cheaper than our place back home too! I came here based on Jill M's review and I'm definitely glad I did!The Gulfport horse show happens every year and I've been coming to it since I was 12 (minus a 7 year hiatus from riding, but I digress). It last six weeks so I spend a lot of time down here in February and March. I occasionally go home so I typically get my nails done when I'm there, but unfortunately for me, one of my nails broke so I had to get a new set ASAP. (What can I say? I'm totally psychotic about my nails...they have to be done. As soon as one breaks, I drive straight to the nail salon.)Enter my faithful, trusty Yelp. This was the only nail salon with good reviews near my hotel, so I got in my car and punched in the address. My GPS is brand new so I'm not sure what happened, but I had to call the salon for directions (he was very nice by the way). It is in a strip mall next to the Dollar Store or something like that...so I got a little nervous. But as soon as I walked in, I let out a sigh of relief. So nice! You can see in my photos that everything is new, thoughtfully laid out, and most importantly...clean!! My set had to be soaked off, which takes forever, but he was so nice about it (and only charged me $5 for it). He also asked me multiple questions to make sure that he was doing my nails exactly like I liked them...and he got pretty close! And that means a lot! Ive been to many places to get my nails done, but once i went to Alex's i havent been anywhere else!! The staff is courteous and professional and the prices are definitely fair!  Most of the clientele are regulars that are greeted by name when they come in. Like most salons, walkins are welcome but if you dont want to sit there indefinitely while they clients with appointments, you should perhaps  make one yourself. Nothing is more annoying than going into a salon when you have an appointment and getting attitude and snarky remarks from walkin clients who have been waiting. You should know if you are a walkin that you have to wait until all the appointments have been serviced.  Ive been using Kim for about 2 years now and would highly recommend her and all the staff!!
