I initially thought this would be my forever nail salon but I've been sadly disappointed with consistent poor service including extremely poor management of so called "appointments". That is honestly a joke as I have experienced extensive waiting times when I have had an appointment or just deciding to leave because I couldn't wait any longer. On several occasions, I've witnessed other customers walking out after making an appointment, only to be faced with frustration relate...d to poor time management. They don't even ask your name or write down appointment times when you call. Do not be deceived by their award for "best salon" in 2016 as this is misleading. The constant pressure for additional services like a pedicure or manicure is also annoying and the prices are higher than other salons. My most recent set of solar nails done by Tina is also disappointing due to nails being different lengths, air bubbles, and lifting around corners. I agree with other customers who feel they are running a production line, are rude, and don't take adequate time to do a good job. I just left here because I waited for over an hour to get my nails done and the workers were providing services to people that had arrived there thirty minutes after me. My friend and I got there at the same time and they started her pedicure first as I waited which was fine with me because I thought they would just do our nails at the same time. There were only six people in the salon and six workers and I kept getting looked over. When my friend said something to the worker doing her manicure by this point (yes after I sat around and waited as she got her pedicure) the worker seemed to not be concerned that no one had started my manicure and made these unacceptable excuses. My friend was more accommodating and offered for the person doing her nails to do mine first but by that time I was too disgusted and left. Their attitudes were not the best the entire time either. So this is the usual place I go to usually they're very nice and do nails pretty good. So on this day I got this lady that was just rude as hell. So I sat down and I wanted almond shaped nails with see through glitter. So after she was done shaping my nails right before getting ready to put polish on, she gets up and goes to a lady that's getting her feet done by another coworker. She proceeds to touch the lady's feet with her bare hands, and then comes back to finish my nail...s. I'm not sure what that lady has so I asked her to go wash her hands because she touched someone's feet. She tried to tell me that she touched them with a brush but I watched her the whole time. So she gets mad and goes to the back to take a little snack break for about 5 minutes. At the end of her doing my nails they usually put that peppermint lotion on your hands, she didn't even bother with it . And when I asked her for some lotion she just shirts it in my hand. but once I got out of The salon I noticed there is extra Joe left under my nails which I can see through the glitter nails because they're clear. So I come back two days later's caused the day in between was the Fourth of July and I ask her if she can remove some of the leftover gel under my nails she said that it would be brutal my nails and they would eventually break off. So I asked if she can get the majority of them off the thumb because that's where it was most piled up and after she did she refuse to take it off the other nails. So I asked for a complementary color change so I wouldn't have to see the leftover Joe under my nails through the glitter nails and she denied me that and began to say she was the owner. If you don't have an Appointment, You'll have to wait a long time or they won't be able to fit you in. The service is usually good and they give you the file and board to keep and bring back to your next appointment. Their prices a higher than most nail salons.Read Less

I just had a pedicure done by David and it was wonderfully relaxing and done just the way I like it. I would definitely recommend this salon to everyone. It is always busy and they accommodate everyone with or without an appointment. This is my go to salon and will be for as long as I'm in Vancouver. Read Less

Being my first time at the salon it was awful. There were people waiting by the time I got there even with having an appointment I had no time to look at colors, the ladies told me to hurry up and sit down, went in the back to get a bowl of water and came out to tell me they are just busy and that's why she was being rude. She picked a color for me, I was told no when I asked if I could go get my file from my car because she didn't have time to wait for me;therefore, I had to pay for another bag. My nails are uneven and bumpy she suggested I do regular polish because it's faster and less expensive, same with my pedi she told me I was getting the basic pedi done because it's more "enjoyable". Usually,this is my go to place.But my last visit was AWFUL! Whomever took care of me was in a hurry because they were running behind and a ton of people walked on. My nails were uneven (I had to refile while getting a pedi) and while my pedicure was being done the woman kept getting up to take care of other things which kept me there longer. I absolutely hated itm my toe nailed weren't straight and I still have rough patched on my feet. I paid for sloppy work and a bad atmo...sphete. The whole time I was there not once was I offered water or wine, which by then I needed to not lose my patience even tho I was sweating with how hot it was in there. Overall I was shocked at how terrible this service was. Every other time that I have gone I've loved every minute of it but this time was just...a dissapointment. I'm upset that I paid so much for half the work. I was told to hurry up and sit down because they were busy and rushed around from point A to B and once my pedi was done,and I paid,the woman didn't even wait for me to get up and put my flats on before she turned the water back on. Basically saying "hurry up and get out you're done ." To have come all the way from OR for this one salon and to be treated like this is beyond terrible. Holly Nails rates as one of the poorest customer service experiences I have ever encountered. Their assistant/secretary definitely doesn't have people skills. I'm under the assumption that she attributes age or race to a person's intellectual level when in reality she has no idea who she is dealing with. I used to go to Adela all the time, but stopped about a year ago due to a change in my finances. I went back yesterday and had a new solar set and a pedicure. I made an appointment for after work with Tina. She was doing a pedi when I arrived, but she was very welcoming and had me wait at her nail station. She remembered me from a year ago and remembered how I liked my nails done. She did a beautiful job, including beautiful designs on two of my nails. We moved on to the pedi...cure, and by the time we started, I was the last customer in the salon. Tina didn't rush through my pedi, she just seemed relaxed in a casual environment with her co-workers and continued to provide excellent service. My nails are beautiful, as usual. Few days ago when I went in to get my eyebrows done I came home and was really upset after I realized what has been done to one of my eyebrows. I asked the lady (if I'm not mistaken her name is Asia) to wax my eyebrows and just clean them and not take anything extra off. On my left brow she waxed way too much off. It looks horrible, I can't go out in public without drawing it in. It was probably because she was in a hurry to get done with me, since there were people waiting. The worst acrylic nails I've had, EVER!!!! The acrylic nails are not even.  The pedicure was even worse!!!!  They clipped my toenails in the quick and they are clipped crooked. The polish was smeared and did not cover the nails completely. I will never return there. Do not waste your time or money there. If there was a way to give a negative rating I would!
