I am so disappointed. I should have followed my instinct when I noticed they didn't use plastic bags in the foot basins!!! Very unsanitary. IT was the worst polish/pedicure I've ever had, the polish looks clumpy and uneven. My nails are so uneven and the whole thing looks horrible. I can't belive I wasted $50. I'm so dissatisfied. I'm really surprised that no one else has mentioned this in reviews: they are not hygienic. My mom got a pedicure and they did not use a plastic lining in the foot bath... not sure if they bleach it after every customer but I've never been to a nail salon that didn't use lining. My mom wanted to leave when she saw that but one of the workers had already started on my manicure by that time. I got the powder gel French manicure... another hygiene no-no. They used the dipping process, actually dipping my nails in to the powder that they use for every other customer instead of brushing it on, as is recommended for public establishments. Every time she dipped my nail in I cringed, thinking of how many other fingers have been in that powder. I didn't say anything, thinking maybe this was a normal procedure for powder but when I looked it up afterward it most certainly is not. Very unhygienic. One star is too many. I went in for a gel manicure and it was only 2 days later and my nails were chipping and peeling already. They also didn't sanitize the utensils in between customers. I also had a massage and was in worse pain after it then I was before the massage. The bathroom is very dirty and the worst I've ever seen. The floors are not cleaned on a regular basis. Clean place but poor (rushed) service.I arrived on a (gorgeous/busy) Saturday with a couple girlfriends for our appts.  They were very busy and we weren't sure they could accommodate us.  They DID get us in right away but RUSHED SO FAST through our services to get us all checked off the list (even though there wasn't anyone else waiting behind us but I suppose they can never anticipate walk-ins).  I'm used to getting a manicure with many steps to the process - file, soak, push cuticles back, cuticle oil, trim cuticles, hand massage with warm lotion, scrub hands at the sink, then receive a nice polish job.Instead she filed my nails in one second, sprayed some alcohol-based spray, pushed my cuticles back and started polishing.  And the polish job was not great - it looked like I did it myself (not terrible but not professional whatsoever).  I was going to ask her if she was mistaking my service for a "polish change" instead of a full blown "manicure?"  But then she gave me a shoulder massage (which rocked but only lasted like 60 seconds) and then I realized a manicure was only $12 so I decided not to make a fuss.  My friend did get a quick hand massage with lotion with her manicure but not the shoulder massage.  But hers cost $30 bc she upgraded to the gel!  I don't know, it was just kind of disappointing when we were expecting to treat ourselves to a little pampering activity.  Perhaps it was just a busy day or not the best technician but I was not impressed with the service at all.  The salon was fine (relatively clean, etc), however. Great experience at J. J. Nail Spa. I got the 30 min reflexology foot message and regular manicure. The staff was friendly, the environment was clean, peaceful and inviting and the service was great! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick pampering for the day. I left the place feeling extremely relaxed. On top of all this, their prices are very reasonable. I went to JJ Nail with my bridesmaids the day before my wedding.  I was able to schedule an appointment a few days before.  When we arrived we were promptly started on.  My pedicure was only mediocre.  It seemed a bit rushed and the paint looks like I painted it myself.  I got a gel French manicure.  The white tips were hand painted and the absolute best I have ever seen done.  They are beautiful and even and did not require any clean up.  I asked for a gold line under the French tip, and unfortunately was disappointed in the quality of the lines.  Unlike the white portions, they were not even in thickness and sloppily done.  Overall my nails looked nice, but I was bummed about the inconsistent results. I love there massages!! Very rejuvenating and deep tissue/pressure points. Fully body 1 hr massage is the way to truly feel renewed. Great technique!! They area also great with Pedicures and Manicures. My pedicures always last about 1 month :) The relaxing background music and other guests talking are audible from massage rooms but to me a massage is therapeutic and necessity for body's health...not just for relaxation so for me sounds don't bother my experience. If you are looking for super fancy quiet relaxing massage...this is not the place. But if you are looking for a body acupressure body treatment this is the best place!!! Read Less

I believe in downtown Stillwater, I live here, I try to support all the local businesses but this is one business that I can no longer support. Not only is the service bad it does not fit within the kindness of this town. They overcharge you and do not do a good job on your nails. Plus The body massages are really weak and short. Read Less

Clean inviting space, with professional nail techs.I had a spa pedicure as well as a manicure.  The pedicure was super relaxing and the hot towel were awesome. Good manicure too. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a "quick" pick me up. Read Less
