The service is fine but their payment process and “new” reward points is very inconsiderate. I completely understand them not wanting to pay the fees for using a credit card but doing it as a 3% discount if you pay cash is silly - but their choice and they are open about it and you know that going in. Then they started a new rewards program - ask for all your details and get you to sign up and come to find out after the 2nd visit and a month into this new program that you only get the points if you pay cash. Just too much hassle - can easily get service anywhere else without this hassle and unneeded complex process. I know I could just not sign up for this reward program - and I wouldn’t have if they had said it required paying in cash to earn rewards - because I never pay cash - just bad form. Read Less

I usually love this place but today I went in to get my French manicure touched up TWO days after I had gotten it because it had chipped off of both my hands. I called before I went it to make sure that was okay and they said they’d fix it. I got there and they sat me down and removed the polish and then said “$20 for gel?” To which I responded “no this was supposed to be free. I talked to you on the phone” I argued with another lady in front of a full nail salon (embarrassing) and she said “regular manicure come off in two days. My mother and I were walk ins. The ladies working welcomed us and immediately set us up for pedicures. The price was very reasonable and the regular pedicure included a mint lotion with towel wrap (at other places I go that is only part of the deluxe pedicure). They were kind and respectful. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER SEEN!!!!!! i took my girlfriend here and when she asked if she could change the color before the lady even started she said, NO you already choose white!!! I keep coming back to this place because the price is right. It's only $15 for gel polish which is a bargain. It's $25 if you want a manicure but the only difference I could see between the manicure and polish change was they cut your nails and cuticles for the extra $10. No thanks... And I am also capable of cutting my own nails. Overall the ladies at this place do a really good job. They are very careful taking the polish off not to damage my nail. The polish change is also always very good and not sloppy. I go to places that charge $50 on the east coast and these women do an equally as excellent job as the expensive salons which is why I keep coming back. They are also very nice. I had my eyebrows waxed one time and the women did an excellent job. The wax was a little hot but hey that happens sometimes. The eyebrow wax was only $8 which again, I think is a bargain. I gave this place 3 stars because it smells like acetone horribly. I feel so bad for the women working there . This salon needs a better ventilation system because breathing in acetone everyday can't be good for those poor women. I also knocked down a star because the cleanliness overall on the pedicure stations seems questionable. I worry about getting toenail fungus from pedicures so I always go to places with removable liners on the pedicure beds. This place does not have that and I have never seen them clean the pedicure stations. I'm not saying they don't I'm just saying I haven't ever seen it and I've been to this place 5-10 times. They left my nails crooked and she made four of my fingers bleed. I only went in for a fill but I will NEVER go back. She just kept rushing through the whole thing, she did not file my nails, so they could be smooth. They were lumpy on the top and on the edges where she brushed on the extra acrylic. She also left nail polish all over my fingers. I tried to tell her and she started arguing with me! I did not tip, I will not go back, and I do not recommend to anyone! Read Less

My mom and I were searching for a new nail salon. I came upon Emerald Nails on Yelp, they had amazing reviews,so I decide to try them out. Their reviews were well deserve. Some criticize the location and space but as the owners would put it "they are creating an intimate and inviting setting not a factory with lots of chairs". It's about the quality at this place not quantity. Jenny, was the one who perform my spa pedicure and she happens to be the owner of the shop. This is her family's business and they take customer service serious and they genuinely care about your needs and wants. I was impressed with my experience and I would recommend this place to anyone. First time ever having a pedi so it's hard to know what to expect. The price was more reasonable than other places in town so that's what drew me in for their Sunday special. The pedicure was nice, however i wish they would have spent a little more time on it and gave a better over all foot massage/exfoliation and didn't seem to rush through it. I can't say I wouldn't ever go back, as I've had my nails done there before. But as far as a pedicure, I'll prob pay the extra 4 go up the street. Read Less

I went here with my mom for a Sunday afternoon petticure, and had high hopes since the place had been recommended to us.  The actual nail polish was good, but the exfoliation portion was weak at best. My biggest problem was that they didn't clean the foot basins in between clients. No soap, no bleach, NOTHING. They just changed the water.
