I got an ingrown toenail after a pedicure. I gave them another chance. They cut my finger during a manicure, no reaction or apology. My gel manicure lasted two days, but they were so horrible I refused to go back to get it fixed. I swore I'd never go back. Then my husband gave me a gift card. A year later, I went back. During my pedicure, my toe was cut do badly that it wouldn't stop bleeding and another customer asked me if I was ok, not the nail technician though. (My toe was swollen for 5 days, btw.) I love this place! I've been coming here now for several years. I used to get acrylics and now I just get the organic dipping powder which I love! For me it lasts 3-4 weeks! My natural nails are so long. The staff here are so friendly and attentive. I've been to a couple other places and always return back because they're not as good. I have been going to happy nails for years. I will never come back here again. I got organix done a few weeks ago. The chubby asian man almost pulled my arm out of my socket repeatedly. He also did a horrible job. My nails have fallen off and broken within a few days of paying $60 for organix nails. I have come back twice to have my nails fixed. Within one week of coming back to have them "fixed", they are falling apart. The manager argued with me about fixing them the second time. The fact that the manager is arguing with a monthly customer who has come here for years is disgusting business pravtice. I am disturbed by the customer service and management practices. This place was the worst! I went in to get my gel removed and have a little shaping to my nails. A basic manicure and this place couldn't even do that! The nail tech removed the old polish, cut my cuticles, trimmed across my nail, then said "ok, all done!" No shaping, no buffing, no filing. I was so shocked, I was dumbfounded. My nails were rough and misshapen, so I had to give myself a manicure when I got home. What a waste of $21. I will return to my old salon. I have been searching around for a good nail place now that I've moved, and I have found it. They use organic dipping powder, which I've been searching for! The staff is friendly and make a point to get to know you. As a new client, I filled out a form with just my basic info, and was given a member card in which I get "punches" each time I come in. Once I get to 15, I get a free service. It is extremely clean inside and I noticed the pedicure tubs are lined with a removable plastic and changed after each session. I had the manager as my nail tech, she was perfectly nice and attentive. I think the issue was that I came late in the day and they were trying to get in as many last minute clients as possible ( by closing time @ 7:30!), so she was in a rush. I could tell she was waiting for me to say something about my left hand, but I didn't because I hate confrontation and I'm much better at passive aggressiveness. ( sorry) Go when you've made an appointment and when they're not busy, and you should be fine. Otherwise, again she was very skilled and attentive- just in a rush. Full set with combo of powder and gel, and color was #32, very pretty. She even let me test the matte top coat when I asked to see if I'd like it first - I didn't so she had no problem making it the original shiny color. Super disappointed. I had been going here for a few months, it's your typical chop shop. Usually I get a fill every 3 weeks and had been decently pleased with it. This last time was horrible and unacceptable. It had only been a week and half and my polish was completely fading away from the tip down. I figured I'd just get a polish change- while I'm at it I'll get a polish change on my toes too! I called and asked if they could do it and they said yes. I told her I'd be bringing my own polish as well. I asked how much the POLISH CHANGE is and she said $20, I asked, $20 total for both my toes and hands? She said yes $10 each. I went in. Got the polish change. I was about to give her a generous tip for doing a good job. But then she charged me $50... yes 5 0 DOLLARS. I was like no way.. She basically said yep that's how it goes. She even had the guts to reach for my money.. I asked for a manager who did not help, after speaking in another language before addressing me. I'm never ever going back to get ripped off ever again. I don't usually review places, but in you're in the St. Paul area and are looking to get your nails done, you HAVE to go to this place. Amazing service and amazing quality! Plus the place is clean and there are enough workers so there won't ever be a wait...and they do mini massages while you get a manicure! You have my business until the day I move away from St. Paul! I saw all of the good reviews and was excited to go...This woman did a horrific job. She cut my toenails too short and uneven, has nail polish on the skin around my nails, and took forever just to do a poor job. I don't know what happened, but I'll never go there again. I loved it here for the dipping powder and how nice the ladies were. I don't know what's going on but I had an absolute horrible experience this time. It was nothing but a waiting game myself and my daughter and mother in law. The minute you walk in the rush you to pick a color and Stan hovering over you. And get you seated in a chair very quickly but then have you wait for 20 minutes. I had a person come over and help me right away and also my daughter she only gets her nail...s painted. The lady that did my daughter's Nails was very impatient with her my daughter is only 5 and loves coming with to get her nails done. So that made me uncomfortable. And my mother-in-law's pedicure didn't even start until i was done and we sat in the chair is at the same. The male appeared out of nowhere with food coming out of his mouth and says to my mother-in-law you just been waiting this whole time we said well yeah!!!! And by the time I got my fill in &my gel polish and my daughter's nails were painted my mother-in-law was just coming over to get her nails started she waited another 20 minutes for anyone to come over to her. I was very dissatisfied I didn't get a massage and watched other people get theirs. She also asked for help to get her nail polishes to match because she gets dipping powder regular polish on her toes they were nowhere close even after she asked for assistance to match. Moral of the story we won't be back we spend way too much money there to leave unhappy . Seriously people - went in and asked for a pink and white fill - yes we can do that except NO they can't unless you only want one color filled ?! If you want both colors filled they insist on only giving you a full set - take all your nails off if you want pink and white. They totally rushed through my manicure, never asked what color of french manicure I wanted (gave me the opposite of what I wanted), sat me at a dryer that wasn't even turned on, my nails have bubbles in them....the list goes on.
