I have been going to the north location of Tips N Toes at least once a month for a year, ever since my husband got me a gift certificate last February. At first, I was incredibly impressed by the customer service, the salon and the quality of work that was done. Ever since, my experiences have slowly gone downhill and my recent visit will ensure I do not give Tips N Toes my business. Two days ago, I went in for a fill on my acrylic nails. I made sure to call ahead, and made ...an appointment for 3pm. When I arrived, the receptionist (I believe her name is Bailey?), was polite as always and asked me to have a seat. I sat for nearly 45 minutes past my appointment time before I was called over for my nails to be done by Kenny. It was incredibly busy, and I know this type of work takes time, but I’m not sure what the point of making an appointment was when I still had to wait 45 minutes. I do want to add that the entire time I was waiting, the receptionist kept apologizing and asking if I needed anything/wanted anything to drink. She is always great when I’m there. The fill was done in a timely manner, and Kenny was very pleasant. He presented me with the cat eye gel polish option for my nails, which I took him up on. Fast forward to later that same evening, I looked down at my nails and one was already bubbling/chipping. I was really disappointed, but figured I would just go in the next day and get it fixed. I woke up the next morning to another nail that was chipping, and a third where the polish is completely peeling off. Today, after work, I went in to see if these 3 nails could be fixed. I was told by the receptionist it would be no problem, then was told by the nail tech that since they would have to completely take the polish off of those three nails and then reapply it, they would at least have to charge me for a basic manicure. I found this to be ridiculous and completely unacceptable. I was perfectly willing to tip whoever ended up fixing them for me, but to have to pay more money for a poorly done gel manicure that I already paid $60 for was out of the question, especially with it only being 2 days old! Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location. I work very close to a competing nail salon, and will bring my business there from now on. See More Read Less
