James is fabulous!! I cannot rave enough about how amazing my nails look. I had the dip with tip. The contour is perfect! I've been searching for my fit for a nail tech in Rochester, for I kid you not, years. I've tried going back to the same tech multiple times at other salons in hopes they would learn what I like. First time he blew my mind with service, personality, and final product. Everyone in the salon was extremely friendly and smiling. Great atmosphere and most importantly it was clean. Myself being a hair dresser and trained in nails, they did everything according to state laws and rules. Thank you for the experience!! Very disappointed in my manicure. Had nail dip done. Left with patchy work, can see through the color in areas and he left my fingers covered in the old nail dip from removal. And he left specks dust or dirt in the color. I have my own nail dip I usually do my self but decided to treat myself for my birthday and get its done and relax. Not happy at all. I recently went for a dip manicure. I was hoping for a little relaxation and pampering. Instead, my hands endured a beating. My cuticles were sawed off with the rotating file, resulting in blood. Whatever happened to having your cuticles pushed back? Also, no work was done along the sides of my nails- leaving all of my awful hangnails on display. The sides of some of my nails were filed so aggressively that my nail beds are exposed on four of my fingers. I pulled my hand away and told the nail tech that it hurt, but it did not stop further filing of the spot that was already raw. The aggressive filing of the sides of my nails also left them oddly and unevenly shaped. After all of that, I didn't even receive the relaxing hand/arm rub that I knew as a standard at all other nail salons I've been to. I had heard nothing but good things about this salon prior to my appointment. Unfortunately, I will not be able to recommend this salon to any of my friends due to my bad experience. Read Less

I doubt I’d be back here. The staff was friendly but the tools they used were not taken out of a sterilized bag prior to using them on me, which every other nail salon I’ve been to has. I do not feel they are ready to do “dipped” manicures yet. The tech I had, had issues buffing out the color and it had tiny almost air bubbles underneath when a clear coat was put on (I was told it was because I used green?). After talking to 2-3 other techs, all of which seemed to have their own possible “fix”, they did a layer of the gel manicure polish over my nails which I had agreed but it was more less said to me as this is how we are fixing it. If they were to add another layer of the dipped powder like one of the tech’s suggested my nails would have ended up being very heavy. I do understand people need to learn at some point and I was told I could come back in if they chipped off to get them fixed. The gel started chipping/peeling off at about a week out. With my work schedule I could not just “pop” in to get 4 nails redone. I took time off to get this appointment in. So the last 2.5 weeks my nails were done but really looked like something I could have done. I understand the dipped is a new process but I think if someone isn’t familiar with it they shouldn’t be doing it. This salon is not ready to do them. Read Less

I've been here 3 times now but if I go back I know who not to ask for. Rose did a wonderful job so I would definitely go back for her, but James did not live up to my expectations that I had from previous visits. Rose is always so busy so I opted to try someone else. I know now to not request him! He does the powder dip technique way different than anyone else I've had do it and my nails look like they've grown out already even though I just got them done today. The color was not what was given for example, ended up being a neon purple instead of a light lavender. The two other times I had the powder dip the colors turned out the same, so I don't know what changed this time. When I asked him about the color he got defensive and said "well sometimes the examples are not the true color" and said "you saw me do it, I didn't add or change anything." He was not very happy about me saying anything. He left a chunk of polish stuck to my finger as well. I know now to ask for someone other than James the next time I try Polished. Read Less

I thought this place was great!  The inside is stylish, clean, and relaxing.  My toes looked great when I left!  They do accept walk-ins; however, they seem to be super busy so next time I'm going to call ahead and make an appointment to make sure I can get in.  I can't wait to go back :-) Read Less

Rose is amazing! I get my nails done every 3 to 4 weeks, I've never had as many compliments as when she did my nails last time! I recommend everyone who gets their nails done that I know, and everyone who comments on them! Love how friendly the staff is and bonus points-super clean! Read Less

Best experience I've had at a nail salon. People were so friendly and talkative which was great. They did a great job on my nails, making sure everything looked perfect and had such an amazing selection for colors. I am definitely referrring this place to friends and going back each time for my nails! Amazing service! Would recommend. Read Less

Absolutely the best nail shop in town. Clean, professional staff and best thing is there isn't that nasty chemical smell from the products. Parking is a little bad sometimes on weekday afternoons though. I just make my appointment during the morning time or Sunday afternoon. Read Less

A beautiful and  clean salon with a professional team! I had a pedicure and my bestie got a shellac pedi and mani the day before her wedding. There was a brief wait before the bride's mani, but they let us wait in the pedi massage chairs, what a treat!   There was a huge selection of colors for both regular and shellac polish and all of the prices seemed on par with nearby salons.
