Not very impressed for a 1st time client for a few reasons. First, they charged me 45 dollars more than my friend I was with (we got the exact same things done). I dont know why or how that could happen. A price is a price, so why would it be that much of a difference when we got the exact same thing done? Second, I kept asking for gel but the lady I was working with ended up doing the powder dip even though I kept saying I wanted the gel. And third, the powder dip looked horrible. It was bumpy and had bubbles in it. She also missed parts of my nail so it looks like the color isn't covering 1/4th of at least 6 of my nails. It was a bad experience overall. Read Less

Finally found a nail salon I enjoy. No matter which pedicure you get, they give the longest calf/foot massages. Always polite and clean. I have gotten a few gel manicures as well and they last longer than other places. A punch card is also available. Read Less

I absolutely love Herbal Nails. I've been to many other salons and always end up going back to Herbal and sometimes I feel bad because the staff at Herbal has to fix an awful job that I had done at another salon! I'm now completely dedicated to Herbal Spa and Nails! Read Less

I was super excited to get a pedicure, because I don't do it often. The lady I had was rude to me. I wore a dress because it was nice outside and thought it would be easier than rolling up pants. The lady shoved her hands and a towel between my thighs. My dress wasn't short, wasn't like I was dressed inappropriately. It made me uncomfortable that she touched me like that without asking. Then I asked for pink polish. Instead I got red. This place is also super expensive. Because I got gel and a "massag" that didn't last long it costed $75. Not worth it. Never going bac here. Always in here and have had great service. Took my bridal party here to get our nails done for the wedding. After explaining several times how I would like my nails done and showing a picture. They still messed them up completely. All I asked for was a shellac square French tip. Long story short they did not do this and they said it was my fault. The only way to fix it was acrylics (which I didn't want in the first place). This was after they filed my nails down too short and filed the edges down so far they made me bleed. They never gave me my full manicure, left one hand with out cleaning my cuticles, have one hand that they knicked that took forever to stop bleeding which they tried to stop my putting a q-tip in acetone over it. Then when it was all done they charged me for having 2 sets of full acrylics, shellac nails and double charged my card. We are still trying to get one charge removed as they double charged most of my wedding party as well. Will never go back again after the way we were treated and how terrible the owner/manager was during it all. She admitted later it was their fault but just told us oh well you pay for all extra time you took from us and our business. Read Less

First timer!! They did a very nice job on my nails however WAY overcharged me...of course at the end of my services! I asked for a basic pedicure with gel polish. The basic is listed for $31. I asked for gel polish instead of the regular. They charged $25 for JUST the gel polish!! I did not want to pay $56 for a basic pedicure!!! That's more than any pedi they have listed!!! And then paid another $31 for just a polish change with gel polish. (Instead of $25 like I did for my feet) They also charged me for swiping my card for payment! I had cash, just not enough because they overcharged me! A total of $91 for a basic pedi and a polish change is ridiculous! Most likely am not returning here! Update- called the manager to complain and was told they do not make prices clear to customers before the service anymore because it's offensive to the customer. I got my nails done three days ago at a DIFFERENT nail salon in Rochester and they turned out horrible absolutely nothing like what I showed in a photo. I was referred to Herbal spa and nail by a coworker and I can tell you I have never ever loved my nails this much. I will never go anywhere else. She was able to fix my nails from the other salons mistake and make them look exactly how I wanted. Truly amazing. I am obsessed with my nails! Read Less

Gel french manicure. Pretty disappointed. My nails were left jagged and rough and the skin near the tips of my nails look awful. She cut them in such a way I can already see hang nails developing. I have a strong feeling the edges of my nails will start to fade after a couple days. I'm only granting 2 stars because I'm too quiet and didn't complain while in their salon, so I didn't really allow them to remedy the job. I have been getting my nails done for over 15 yrs and I thought I would try a new place out. I was given a giftcard from a friend that knew I was looking for a new place. I love love loved it! Really disappointed. I'm from out of town. I told the lady politely a couple of times that the color wasn't "thick enough" and asked her to make it thicker. There was a language barrier and I was ok with that, however when another nail lady came over to "help", she was very rude and didn't listen to anything I was asking for. She told me I would be back in a day or two complaining if the nails started chipping because the color was too thick. I had already explained to her I'm from out of town and would not be back. I then just told her she could take the color off, just forget the nails and I'd pay for my pedicure only. She refused. I have no problem paying for services, but I do have a problem with RUDE employees who do not listen to their customers and bully them into paying for services they're not satisfied with. Wow.  Details:-lotion smelled like old lady perfume-made an appt but that didn't seem to matter-they were surprised to see me-woman didn't say 2 words to me-French white was too thin-took 75 min?!?-skipped gel mani that I had booked because I didn't think she'd do a good job and I don't have another 90 min to spend on that.To be fair they offered me a $3 off coupon which I politely declined as I won't be coming back. Unfortunately, I had an extremely negative experience here. After asking for the basic pedicure ($30) I inquired how much it would be for it to have gel polish (an extra $10), I agreed to this and sat down. The woman took 2 HOURS to do a gel pedicure because she continually would mess up the polish. I had to get the polish she put on removed (due to her mistake) 4 TIMES. 4. She didn't acknowledge that she had even made a mistake when I asked her what was going on. My nails are now paper thin because she used the electric file to remove the gel each time she messed up. The cherry on top? I was swindled! She said that she had to add to the basic package since I got gel and it ended up costing me $60 for the longest, and worst quality pedicure I have ever gotten. Make sure you know what they're "adding" to your package and how much it's gonna cost, cause they aren't going to be forthcoming with the new price until it's too late. Read Less

My go-to nail salon here in town. The staff are super friendly and they apply two very thin coats of polish that dries quickly without chipping. Their technique is definitely far superior to that of other salons and I know that I'll be able to leave and won't chip my nails as soon as I open the car door. Very impersonal...2 of the 3 times I have been i have waited in the pedi chair for 20+ minutes before someone came back to do the pedi. Person I was with was done well before I was... Additionally, noticed where the gentleman doing my pedi had scuffed near one of my cuticle areas until it was raw. On the other foot I had a spot that had skin cut off leaving a scab. The color on my toes looked Good, but with some new scrapes on my feet, I was not too pleased. Didn't bother complaining, as I'm not sure it would have mattered. Also a bit pricey for what you Get. This is one of the best places for a pedicure in Rochester.  They have several different types of pedicures for you to choose from.  All of them come with an outstanding foot and leg message...it was awesomeness.  It's also one of the cleanest nail salons I've ever been to and also very reasonable!  I've definitely found my new "go-to" place for pretty feet! This place is the best nail salon I've also been to in Rochester! It's fantastic! Inside, it is very nicely decorated and quite classy. The equipment looks new and of good quality and the staff are very nice, really taking the time to do a thorough job. They immediately offered me a drink and asked whether I would like a different channel to watch on the flat-screen TV across from where I was sitting. There's several different options for pedicures and I'm sure manicures. I was very pleased with their basic one but saw another customer getting the herbal one which I saw started with her choosing one of many essential oils that were presented to her which smelled fantastic. They do have a loyalty punch card and are currently giving out Christmas cards with a $5 gift card inside after you pay which is very nice. I will definitely be coming back! The only suggestion I have is to get a website that lists what they offer with prices and any specials that are going on (right now you can get a manicure/pedicure for $35). Read Less

My fiancé and I went for a pedicure together and we were both very pleased. Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff  Soft music playing and none of the chemical smell so often found in nail salons. Comfortable pedicure chairs with massage. Very clean, with separately wrapped sterilized tools. Both of our nail technicians did a very nice job. We ended up both getting the Spa Manicure Pedicure combination which included a nice massage with warmed oils and lotions. It is usually $40 for the mani-pedi combo, but they had a special so it was only $35 for each of us  I would recommend this shop to anyone seeking services in a nice, but non-spa atmosphere. The best nail salon in Rochester (by far)!!! I went to Herbal Nail Spa because my husband won a gift certificate there! I was expecting it to be like the other nail salons in town- but i was very pleasantly surprised. The spa is so nice and clean- brand new, and is decorated beautifully! I had a manicure and pedicure and they came out great and lasted way longer than usual! The other neat thing about Herbal Nail Spa is that they really use dried herbs in the masks they put on your legs! I was very impressed with my overall experience. Read Less
