Very friendly, affordable and CLEAN place. They do gel nails and I found out that powder gel manicures are NOT all gel, at those other salons they sell you a powder gel fill that is really a acrylic fill with a gel top coat and you get charge more for it.. Check the menus compare acrylic fills to what they call gel fills. If you at charged more for the gel fill and they put a powder/liquid product on you it WAS JUST A ACRYLIC FILL!!! I am originally from a small town in northwestern Mn and I moved into the Brooklyn Park area in 2004. I have been to several nail salons around this area and in those nail salons I have felt like I am just a # or the techs don't speak or speak very little English. They would not strike up any conversation with me but they would talk amongst themselves. I finally found this small quaint shop in New Brighton and I decided set up an appointment. While I was waiting for my appointment clients were walking and and the staff greeted them by there names. I thought to my self this reminds me of the TV show " Cheers" I thought wow this only happens in a small town. The salon is very clean and has a friendly atmosphere.   The service was great and my nails were done exactly the way I wanted them done.  Before I left I set up another appointment. This place is VERY outdated-like stepping in a time machine back to 1990. You can tell the place caters to older women. Anywho, the service was ok & my nails turned out alright I guess-could have done better myself. I got a gel manicure & was quite confused as to what was going on. The whole process was very time consuming & one of the steps included her wrapping each nail in tinfoil. I came in with totally naked nails too...no polish or acrylic tips so I don't understand why it took so long (almost a hour & a half). Pretty expensive for what I got-expected to get more for my money, like a hand massage or something. Read Less
