I went to this location on impulse with a friend because it was in the mall. I got my gel nails done on a Sunday. Monday my index fingernail tore and broke by just picking up an object. By Thursday, 4 other nails have chipped. While I was there, the customer service was sub par, and I will forever be loyal to my regular nail service who take the time to make sure my nails last for about a month. Read Less

Extremely over priced. Was cut/jabbed on the side of pinky then had acetone or something put right on the fresh cut. Left nail glue all around the nail bed. Bumpy paint job. Within the hour of leaving the mall the "gel" nail polish was smugged. Two nails are crooked. Pinky nail is very long in comparison to the others. A few pieces of glitter are on the matte finish. The tech grabbed the wrong color, similar but not what had been picked out. Some of the paint was put on so light you can see right through them. Overall awful experience. Read Less

I randomly came in to this nail salon while shopping at Ridgedale. I had a very good experience. I did not get her name, but I will... when I go back....but she took the gel and the one acrylic nail I had off quickly. She then gave me a beautiful regular manicure that is lasting as long as any gel manicure.  Love them! Read Less

Love this place. Cindy is amazing and I go to her every time I get my nails done. I have had others there before and I have never walked away disappointed. First time there I had the pain relief pedicure and I haven't gotten a pedicure anywhere else since. Let's get real... I can paint my toes at home. The only reason I would ever pay for toes to be painted is for the massage part. I've been places where when they cut the cuticle away it can be painful and even end up bleeding, but they are gentle and I don't even worry about getting hurt as I go through the cuticle removal process. As long as I'm in the twin cities I will always go here for my nails and toes to be pampered.. I accidentally walked in 30 min to close once (mall randomly closed early one night I didn't realize) and they still got me in for a mani pedi. I felt bad, but tipped well since they stayed about 15-20 minutes past closing time just to get me in! I call ahead now so I don't do that again. If that doesn't scream freindly customer service, I don't know what does! Read Less

Went here on a whim because the location was convenient. I was very impressed with the precision and attention to detail by my nail tech. She was very receptive to my requests and made sure that I was happy before moving forward. Which I greatly appreciated. I felt comfortable here even though it was my first time here. I went here for the first time today to get a pedicure before an upcoming vacation. I didn't have an appointment, so when I stopped in I was asked to make an appointment and come back in 45 minutes. No big deal, I was happy to wait. I went back 5 minutes before my scheduled time and was told that a woman who arrived 1 minute before me was given my place. She literally walked in directly in front of me! The technician said she thought the other woman was me and asked me to wait another 30 minutes. I did not have time to wait longer so I left without the pedicure I went there for. I was given an apology and a coupon for a discount next time, but I think it would have been a lot more appropriate for them to have explained the misunderstanding to the other woman and asked her to wait. I am a busy mom to a toddler and i work full time. It's a rare occasion when I can get out of the house by myself long enough to get a pedicure. Needless to say, I went home pretty disappointed. I went here for the first time to get my nails done for a wedding, they did a fantastic job and are very reasonably priced. I also loved how much attention they pay to detail to make sure your nails look perfect. It may have taken longer, but it's far better than places that rush through the process and let you leave partially disappointed. Read Less

Since moving to Minnetonka last year, Hemera Nails has been my "go to" nail salon whenever I need a stylish mani/pedi for special occasions or to help make myself extra neat & pretty prior to a vacation getaway!My overall satisfaction can be hit-or-miss, depending on the technician, and Today was one of those days.Originally, I came in for a gel manicure and basic pedicure. I relayed that desire to Tra, who ended up not being my technician for this visit. Instead, I began my pedicure with Nhan, and that's where things went a bit awry. I must admit, Nhan did a BEAUTIFUL job on my pedicure, however, I was given a gel polish pedicure instead of just a basic scrub/polish. Since I liked the color I had chosen, and she was already 1/2 way done with my first foot when I realized there was a curing lamp beside her, I didn't complain.Next came my manicure, which again was done BEAUTIFULLY, and Nhan worked really hard to imitate the style of a french manicure photo I had brought in as an example of what I wanted. Ultimately, I was satisfied, although a tad sticker shocked; since my usual gel manicure & basic pedicure typically doesn't exceed $45. Today's total (for gel manicure + french tips and gel polish pedicure) came out to $75! I felt bad, because their new (?) credit card system doesn't allow for adding tips, those must be paid in cash or personal check, which I never carry on me. However, at $30 more than I'm used to paying for my visits, I wasn't really prepared to go any further over my budget anyhow! Bottom line, this is a GREAT business operated by WONDERFUL people! Facilities are clean, though a little cramped. Service was nice, albeit a little brash. I don't recall being smiled at by my technician even once. As someone who has worked in the salon industry I was hoping for a little more in the way of making the customer comfortable. One great thing I'd like to point out is that the liquid gel nails here are IN FACT liquid gel artificial nails. A lot of places have tried to tell me that a "powder gel will become liquid gel". This just isn't true. So kudos to this one. Only downside to the actual service is that my gel nails showed a lot of lifting two days after the application and a week in, 2 of my nails have completely come off. (This didn't leave too much damage to the nail bed, which is why I prefer gel to acrylic). I don't expect gels to last TOO long, but certainly longer than a week, especially for 50 dollars. All in all it was satisfactory. I would maybe go here again, but I would prefer to spend the money somewhere I would be welcomed more. Read Less

The ladies were nice, but the shellac that is supposed to last 2 weeks has already fallen off 4 of my nails.  Very frustrated, and for the price I was expecting better results, and for my shellac nails to last longer.  I will not be returning.My coworker also said she had a bad experience, she got acrylic and when she showed me her nails, they were ridged, not smooth like they should have been, and the nail polish was uneven and parts the acrylic was still showing, and was not covered by any nail polish.  She will not be returning either.
