As a recent transplant from New York City to Minneapolis, I have tried several salons in my quest to find the best cut and color. Sash is that salon. I have blond highlights and I found that  the three other salons I tried kind of gave me the same look. Thin highlights, same color. Misha at Sash just looked at my head and said "OK, I can fix this." He did an amazing job. My hair now has depth and the color suits my skin. I then went to Alex for my cut and I like it better than the cut I came from New York with. These two are the best at cut and color I've run across in the Twin Cities. Finally, I always go to Tanya for my manicure. It lasts and she has a good eye for color. Again, this was the fourth place I'd gone for my nails and she does, by far, the best job.As you can tell, I'm a big fan of this salon. I have been a customer of Sash Salon for over 10 years (can't believe it's being so long :)). Misha does such a fantastic work on coloring. I love that even though I get highlights, it looks very natural and healthy. I get so many compliments from others about my hair. Alex cuts my hair and every time it's an exceptional job! I get what I want every time and I walk away happy after my visit. I also tried facials by Marina and only have positive comments about her services. I get full facial and it's an hour of relaxing while Marina does her magic :)! I have been spoiled by great salon cuts my whole life. I have lived all over the US and have had my hair done in Chicago, LA, and Seattle by some of the best. I moved to St. Paul and searched the Twin Cities for a great stylist. I found Mischa for color and Alex for cuts at Sash Salon. I come all the way from St. Paul to see them. If you want your hair colored and cut right, you will go to them. They work great as a team, and I am never unhappy with my cut! Read Less

I have been going to this salon for over 10 years. I usually do facial with Marina and haircut/color with Alex. The service and the end result is superb. I moved to another state about 3 years ago, but Sash salon is on my schedule every time I am in town. Facials with Marina are relaxing and refreshing. My skin looks and feels younger. Alex's haircut is not just a haircut, it's a piece of art!!!! I always get compliments on my hair and color. When I walked into the salon I was greeted by a very friendly and warm staff, I felt like I had been going to the salon for years and it was my first time there. Before I started my services each employee that I was seeing made sure I was comfortable with what they had planned on creating for me, they were very thorough with each technique used. Color with Misha is the best I have ever received. He was able to duplicate the photo I had brought in precisely. I was going from very dark(almost black) to a light brown with blonde. Beyond happy and excited. Sarah cut my hair after my fab color. It was weightless but full and styled it with sexy volume. LOVE LOVE LOVE! WORLD CLASS SERVICE and STAFF! I literally "stumbled" across Sash Salon after moving to the Lake Calhoun area in Minneapolis and I am SO GLAD I did! (I was flying back to my previous state of residence for my hair cut and color services). I was told my hair was "damaged" and "they would fix it", I thought, "ya right" well, after 3 visits to the salon getting color from Misha and cuts from Alex, not only could I notice a remarkable difference in my hair texture and look - but so could my friends! When I would fly back home, friends who never took notice to my hair before, would compliment me on my cut and color! I have been a client for nearly three years and wouldn't dream about going anywhere else! My hair looks and feels great and I am always extremely satisfied! I have even convinced "new" girlfriends to try Sash Salon and they are now clients too! Within the past year, I have started utilizing the nail, waxing and facial services. I'm very very careful with my hair - I was getting a light color overlay from Sudz salon to great affect, but Sash Salon was recommended by my mother and her very good friend, so I decided to go there - a huge mistake! I went to Ashley and Misha was supposed to be training her in how to color light ginger /coppery hair (apparently this is somewhat difficult). Misha left after advising Ashley to do my hair red with medium-dark brown undertones. I ended up with dark reddish brown hair after requesting to continue with the copper color and pointing out the color group I wanted in their book of hair colors. When I came back the next day to fix it, they tried to tell me I would eventually like it (I couldn't wear a 1/3 of my wardrobe because it clashed with my hair) and eventually they just bleached (oh, sorry, lightened) the color. Now I have a dull color, hairs that have broken off at the top of my head, and a ton of split ends from the bleaching process! I'm horrified and humiliated after being so careful with my hair for so long! I was growing my hair out and now am thinking about shortening it so it looks healthier!!!! I would discourage anyone from going there unless you want fried hair and condescending service! Read Less
