I first found this shop doing a Google search for nail salons in Minneapolis. This shop got some very positive reviews, and I made my first appointment there in either 2009 or 2010. I have written a review for Pamper Me Nails before on a different site; this is my first review for the shop on Yelp. The shop is located within a block of other small businesses right on Nicollet Avenue, so parking on the street can sometimes be a challenge, mostly on Saturdays, but one can generally find a close enough spot. Inside, the space is clean, cozy, and welcoming. At the front of the store, there is a waiting area with a small couch and a water cooler nearby. On the wall adjacent to the couch is a nail bar with a generous offering of nail colors from different manufacturers, as well as a couple of rotating stands with more colors nearby. In the middle of the store, there is a nail-drying station and a paraffin wax machine used for manicures. I believe there is another paraffin wax machine used for pedicures. In total, there are three manicure stations and two pedicure chairs. There's always some good music playing, and the vibe is very relaxed. There's usually a lively conversation/exchange of information going on, and sometimes, you can get the hookup for certain things (concerts, food, etc.). My first mani/pedi service was performed by Tanya, the owner of the salon, so she became my regular manicurist. She has always done great work on my nails, and she was always very nice and polite to me. Ryan is one of the other manicurists in the salon (I had a manicure performed by him once). He's a great guy with a great sense of humor and wit, and also very nice and polite. He has a sweet dog who he brings to the shop occasionally. There is another person named Akilah who also works there on an occasional basis. Though I've never received services from her before, she's always been hospitable to me, and I have seen pictures of her work on their Facebook page, and it always looks great! I can't remember the prices for services, but they're probably in line with what other independently owned salons charge, though the prices may have gone up since the last time I was there. One of my favorite services was getting the paraffin wax treatment for hands or feet, especially in the winter, for which I didn't mind paying a little extra.A friend of mine has been going to Pamper Me Nails since I told her about the salon six or seven years ago, and she gets her nails done regularly by Ryan. I will definitely go back when I get the chance. I miss the vibe and the people! :) Read Less
