This has been my favorite spot so far for getting my nails done out of the Uptown/St Louis Park area. My gel lasted 4 weeks without a chip (even tho they were so grown out 😅). I’ve been to a few salons that only do 1 or 2 layers of gel and I’ve always gotten at least 2 or more layers. Can’t beat the prices either. The staff is very accommodating. They do really great work in general, but I've had a few visits lately where my gel manicure hasnt been the best, and has chipped or even broken a week after getting it done despite always making an appointment beforehand. Be sure to make an appointment so they have the time to do a nice job, but even then I wouldn't recommend it as a regular spot to go. Read Less

I called early in the morning and made an appointment for late afternoon (4pm) and was told it would give them plenty of time since they close at 5pm on Sundays. I arrived to my appt at 3:50 and checked in and was told to pick a color and wait. It got to be about 4:15 (which was fine because they were busy) and was seated at a manicure station. When it got to be after 4:30 and not one single person had acknowledged me, I got up and walked out. Not one person said anything to me, as if this happens all of the time. My family and I all went to get our nails done after the movies last night. We had called in to make an appointment but showed up early and had three available nail technicians who jumped right in. They had a wide selection of colors and great service. Hanna did my nails and did an amazing job. I cut my nails to nubs last week and she miraculously made them all look the way I wanted. She was very detailed oriented and focused on me. There was other clients who were there that clearly had a routine/relationship and knew the staff.  Also she did a fantastic job cutting my cuticles and was super careful! I will definitely go back. I had about 2 hours to kill in the West End area, so I went over to Glamour Nails to get a gel/acyrlic manicure. It took over 2 hours to do a gel manicure! I had to wait about 20 minutes before I was serviced, and I would kindly remind them that I had to be somewhere in "x minutes" and they got frustrated with me! 2 hours should be an ample amount of time. Also, there was a group of girls that missed their movie because the process took so long for them too! I would say, they do a nice job, but leave ample amount of time. If I could leave zero stars I would. Full disclosure--I am the bride. I made an appointment WEEKS ago for 8 people for gel mani/pedi with ONE spa pedicure. We arrive and it turns you just SIGN IN on the list, same as everyone else. They didn't save a spot. They didn't have time for a spa pedicure. My mother in law AND sister in law had to wait for 20 minutes before they could get in. I used to *LOVE* coming here and have sent so many friends here. I'm so upset that so much of our time has been wasted. I get it; Friday's are busy. That's why I made an appointment for all of us! (Ps- the women who did our nails are great. I went to Glamour Nails with a large bridal party group and had the worst experience. I was one of the 1st ones there but the last one to get started on. I then was the first one to be done with my services - how does that work? My pedicure lasted maybe 15 min. I am pregnant so I when I go for a pedicure, I want to relax and really soak in the massage but received nothing in that regards. It was quick and un-relaxing. My manicure was done so poorly, my cuticles and edges of my nails are now peeling off and the nails look like something my 5 year old could have painted. On top of that, my daughter was also part of the group and she had to wait 45 min before anyone started on her. I had to ask multiple times when someone was going to begin her pedicure and every time they said "soon". 45 min is not soon. Overall, it was a huge disappointment. Went in on a Saturday Afternoon with my 5yrs old for a Mother & Daughter' Mani-Pedi. The girl that I got was trying to rush everything, from the Pedicure (exfoliation was just a quick up and down stroke for 2 seconds..was so hard on my calf when applying lotion, rubbing so quick and fast so the lotion will dry faster [was NOT consider a massage AT ALL! ] Did the exact same thing with my Manicure. I was NOT happy AT ALL but still trying to keep my cool and giving her a chance to do a better job butTHAT parently didn't happen. She didn't talk to me at all but keep speaking vietnamese to the worker next to her. She rushed me through the Nail Polish application and then just tell me to go sit by the fanning light. Didn't get no "Have a good day" or "Thanks for coming" OR ANYTHING. Now, the gal that did my daughters Mani-Pedi did such a poor job that the Nail Polish on my daughters pinky were all off and icky. I didn't wanna throw a fit in front of all these costumers and their kids so I just paid the gal and left. Never again am I going back to that place! Came in for a manicure. Was seated in a massage chair shortly after walking in but others were seated after me and they started them first. Waited 10 minutes and when a lady came to Donny feet she soon went to work on a little girl across from me who had just been seated. I waited another few minutes and finally someone started my manicure. The lady who did my manicure was very nice and did a very good job. I never write reviews for places but this place really irritated me! Do not go here for acrylic or gel nails!!!!! I got a whole new set of nails from them after they told me the place before "did them wrong", and not even two months later they were all lifting and requiring replacements! I get them filled regularly by them and they should be lasting at least another month before I need a whole new set. Not helpful or nice at all when I called to explain this to them. I sat in Tommy's chair and while he was removing my gel color he was violently pulling on my arm to come closer to him and I asked him not to pull and he pushed himself back in his chair and said 'SOMEONE ELSE DO YOU NAIL' I was literally in shock like what just happened. My nails were done by the manager and he didn't use and clean tools on me.  I wasn't completely sure, but as he moved on to new customers he always reached into the used took drawer of anyone's desk and started working.  He never opened a fresh package.I asked for a reverse French mani and the lines are so shakey everyone thinks I did it myself.  The women employees seemed to grab new metal tools, but they all use old unsanitized files.  Try and find a bottle of barbisol sanitizer. I know I'm not alone because I found a pamphlet someone wrote on there they underlined "clean and sanitary" and wrote "NO". I'm not interested in getting an infection, so I'll go elsewhere next time. Went today to get my moms nails done and I have to say, this is the BEST experience I have ever had in a nail salon! Jazmine is excellent at what she does and the ladies there are so sweet! We were offered complimentary mimosas and water while there & the owner even stopped by to say thank you and make sure we were well taken care of! I went here for the first time based on the recommendation of a friend, and had a gel polish change only. The technicians (multiple, as they kept getting up and switching for some reason), were very impatient with the soak off, leaving the cotton/acetone on my nails for only a few minutes each time, then trying to scrape the polish off. I could tell they were getting frustrated with the amount of time it was taking to remove the gel, and after my polish change was completed, I know why! They only put a couple layers of polish on, unlike my usual salon which puts on at least 5 layers (which is a lot, but means the polish lasts, chip-free for three weeks! Maybe longer, but I change it by then. Luxury Nails in Stillwater, ask for Teri, if you're interested!)Back to the scraping - they destroyed my nails with their impatience. The surface of my nails were scratched and peeled because they couldn't just let the polish soak off for more than a few minutes.The new polish application was fine, nothing special. But because they only put on a few layers, it has already chipped, and it has only been a week and a half.Cleanliness: I've seen better. It didn't seem dirty, but the nail file they used to try to wear the polish down (and to later shape my nails before putting on the new polish) was definitely used before as it had multiple color polishes already on it. Ick.Also, they only accept tips in cash. To be fair, they didn't make a big deal about me not tipping since I didn't have any cash... they do accept credit cards to pay, so no idea why you can't tip on a card, too.It's not a bad salon, but I won't be going back after the manner in which they removed the polish, and because the new polish doesn't last very long without chipping. These girls are SOOOO nice!! I loved the customer service and the shop is IMMACULATE. I love how clean everything was. The footbath is disposable and SOOO clean. My toenails got a teeny weeny bit smudged when she was placing my flip flops on but I'm sure if I asked her to fix it she would have, but seriously it was so small i didn't even feel the need to ask. I also looovvveeddd the color selection they had! They might not have every color in the universe, but they will have something close to what you want, if not exactly exactly what you want. So disappointed to have to change my review.😔 I came here a couple years ago when the shop first opened, and was so impressed by the cleanliness of the shop and how friendly everyone was. I remember they made it a point that they didn't trim cuticles or file on natural nails before but today was a completely different. The shop was not clean, nail techs not very friendly, and it felt very rushed. Glamour Nails looks like your run-of-the-mill nail salon, but after many trials and errors(!) at other salons, this is the place I keep coming back to. It all started with Tommy "rescued" me after a TERRRIBLE gel manicure from a different salon -- he gave me a complete gel manicure for $5. Talk about doing smart business, that one act formed my loyalty instantly. I've since been back every 2-3 weeks for a refresh, and each time I've left with a fabulous set of nails. Their color selection is almost dizzying. The attention to detail varies with the tech, but if you're lucky enough to land in Tommy's chair, you know you're in store for greatness. Dangit.  I thought I'd found my new salon but after the 4 attempt to get my nails done I've officially given up.  This place gets packed on Saturdays which is to be expected.  The last time I was there on a weekend I was told a 20 minute wait and after about 50 minutes I had to leave for another appointment.  My office is right by the salon and I just walked back from my final attempt on a weekday to get in.  Each time I've gone in at various times - mid morning, mid afternoon, lunch hour, etc., and each time there have been about 1-3 customers and about 3-4 visible staff in the back. So, not busy at all.  I've been told the wait would be 30-45 minutes each time.  Yes, I know I should just make an appointment, but a good salon (to me anyway) staffs for walk ins.  My nails usually look great when I'm done, but a couple of times they've been a bit questionable and it always takes at least at hour for any service.  Given all of that, I'm not really willing to make any more effort.You win, Glamour Nails, you win. Just had to mention my visit that I had today.  The salon is very clean and very nice.  Prices are very good ~ cheaper then some other salons that I checked.  The staff is very quiet but all very charming and very nice.  I had a manicure today with gel polish and my nails look great!  Highly recommend!  Also, in such a great location ~ the West End is the place to be!!**Remember to bring cash for tip if paying by credit card as you can't add tip.  My only dislike.** Read Less

I have been here a few times now and have had a great experience each time.  I have never called ahead for an appointment and usually get in within 10 minutes of showing up.  It is a pretty big shop with more than 6 pedicure stations and 10 manicure stations.  They even had 3 kid chairs!I have only received pedicures here and the paint last for weeks.  The massage within the seat is a bit strange because it has a crotch/butt massager!  I quickly turned that part off and checked my phone with their free wifi.  The service was great, but the girls don't have much to say and don't really engage in conversation.  I am pretty sure they used a real cheese grater for the heel of the foot to get a soft surface.  At the end of the pedicure I also received a long calf and foot massage.  There is also a large selectino of OPI nail polish colors to choose from.
