I LOVE coming to Envy Nails! I have been Loan's client for over a year and she never stops surprising me with her beautiful work. She is not only a true artist but a very generous and patient person. Obviously I am open to an array of designs but of course I would also recommend Loan for simpler acrylics/gels (she is like a sculptor when it comes to shape!) as well as manicures and pedicures, because her attention to detail is unmatched. The salon also shares in this carefulness: staff are always welcoming and eager to chat with Loan and I about her projects and make all their guests feel welcome from the minute we step in the door. The stations are clean and comfortable and the technicians calm and generous with their attention, whether the salon is busy or not. This was one of my favorite experiences having my nails done. All prices were stated up front so I could make informed choices. I was charged for the nail removal but I actually got my money's worth. Lisa put acetone soaked cotton on my nails instead of just prying them all off like in some shops. Most of all, I really enjoyed the experience. This place is amazing! I think anyone (myself included obviously) who gets their nails done is fairly discerning--otherwise we would just do it at home with mixed results. The entire staff is always super friendly, and they observe sanitation protocols (being from the beauty industry, I recognize the importance!). Their work speaks for itself, whether it's an ombre dip with glitter, french gel manicure or a much needed pedicure, it is always well done. I first came here after getting my nails done at a salon in Bloomington that I was increasingly disappointed in. I decided to try a new salon closer to my house and found Envy online. I came with a broken nail on one finger and very thin nails on my other fingers after peeling off my gel nails several times. I walked in and the salon was packed so I figured it would take a long time to get in, but they found a seat for me within 3 minutes. A woman named Loan did my nails and blew me away at her talent. This salon offers acrylics, gels, dip nails, regular polish and everything in between. Their color selection is impressive and gets larger every time I come. Loan is very talented at ombré nails and dip nail art. She’s done my nails twice now and knows exactly what the customer needs to best flatter their hands and complexion. The artists here are trained professionally and very courteous. The attention to detail is second-to-none. The pedicures are also great because they take the time to properly clean, trim and file the feet/toenails. I am very particular about shape, length, and thickness/thinness of my nails and I don’t even have to worry about the details because Loan is so intuitive and talented. I recommended my sister who has come several times too, and she has also had great experiences with Jenny. The price is fair for the service you get. This was my first time to this nail salon. I was a little nervous given some of the other reviews, but had a wonderful experience. I had a very relaxing pedicure and wasn't planning on getting a manicure, but ended up getting that as well. Both my toes and nails turned out really well. I found this nail salon three years ago and I refuse to go anywhere else now and recommend this nail salon to people all the time. The attention to detail, customer service, cleanliness and professionalism is impressive. The manicures and pedicures are high quality and last much longer than other salons. I personally make my appointments with Tammy, but the entire team is phenomenal. When she went out on maternity leave she even recommended someone to me for while she was out. Flew to MSP on business, needed a manicure that day. Called and made an appointment for 5:30. Got there early and was taken care of right away by John, who I believe is married to the owner. WOW! First, I had never had a manicure by a man before. John was caring, attentive, and meticulous (with a face like an angel, but I digress). After the day of flying, it was truly a treat to relax and unwind. John encouraged me to go for a gel manicure (my first), and I'm so glad I did. Wanted to try a new salon I noticed in the neighborhood. I usually get the upgraded services bc working at a wonderful Childrens hospital I like to treat myself, but when trying a new place I try their basic services thinking that if their basic services are great then their upgraded services would be even better and they prob. truly care about the work they do and they are not just about the up sale. Well, these people FAILED miserably!! Not only do they not truly care about... the work they do... they ARE only about the up sale. I got a regular mani. pedi. Now remember this was my first time here. I had not read anything about them or their services. The girl started my pedi. and barely touched my feet! Now, when I say barely, it was so quick I didn't even feel her scrub my feet, so when she did the same thing to the other foot I questioned her nicely of course.. to which she proceeded to tell me.... well if you want callus removed you have to pay for the melon cucumber pedicure or more. Then said that this is just lotion on your foot by the way, so she tried to wipe it off... to which I said it was not lotion and of course it was not lotion but a lack of service. She then said I could talk to her manager... to which I said I would, but let her finish. Long story short . Had to ask someone who the manager was... to which a lady named Tammy said she was the manager, Tammy then did a bait and switch on me and told me some other young guy was too (primarily bc he was free and she was to busy to bother; do to the fact that she also knew what I wanted bc her regular customer had already told her I wasn't happy with the services!) therefore after a fast and furious talk in their language he told me he was the manager and what did I want. So I explained the situation to this guy.. told him that my feet had no callus and it was a lack of pedicure service that my feet were still ashy! not hard callused but ashy people... even had him feel for himself... to which he said then your feet must be dry then and to see a my doctor and they treat everyone the same...Now I never said they didn't, I wasn't even thinking along those lines until he mentioned it! HUMM.... then he said they had a lotion I could BUY. Now I could have gone there with him , but refrained bc Now I see this is futile and politely let him know since this was my first time I will not be back as this has never happened at any other salon where I've left with ashy feet after getting a pedicure of any kind. He seemed to care less. Well I guess for basic svcs $50 was not enough spent to get decent services from these people. My friend recommended this place and although I was a little skeptical about the location I decided to try it out.  There is plenty of parking in front the shop so you don't have to worry about that. I got a mani and pedi which were both exceptional. The service was above and beyond any other salon I've been to. The girl took her time to do a flawless job despite the crowd waiting. She didn't rush and carried a lively conversation with me which showed me that she cared. Her extreme attention to detail made sure that every edge, cuticle, and overall color was perfect. I came in for a gel manicure and pedicure. I was greeted quickly and had to wait maybe 5-10 as they were pretty busy for a Monday afternoon. I picked this nail salon based off its location and reviews. The location is very good, right off France by the Whole Foods and Starbucks. They did a great job at my pedicure/manicure and they took their time making sure things were perfect. I really liked that they took their time as other places I have been they rush to get to the next person. Now they do multi task like crazy, but it did not affect the quality of my nails. Be prepared as they up sell, but when I said no, they did not ask again...so they are not pushy. They do have very affordable packages to choose from based on what kind of services you want included. It was all pretty great! The reason for the 4 instead of a 5 is because the callus scrub was marginal. My daughter went the extra $5 for a deeper scrub and it wasn't any better than mine. The staff was great though. Had a great experience for being a first timer! Read Less

I loved my experience at envy nails! First of all there was no wait. I got the basic pedi which was $27 and she did a fantastic job, especially on the foot massage! They offered me water and went and got it right away. I then got a french gel manicure and she paid attention to every detail. Everything was super clean and well organized. I have been going to Envy Nail Salon since they opened 2 years ago and absolutely love it! The salon is very clean. They have a lot of polish colors and gel colors and they do a great job! I went here for the first time last night and I had a wonderful experience! I did the Milk and Honey Pedicure with Gel Polish and it was amazing. I've never had someone massage my feet and legs for so long! The pedicure and polish job was really great too! It is a little more than I would usually spend on a pedicure, but it was worth it!! A party of 9 got right in. They even offered me a water or diet coke. You need cash to tip. The have a nice menu. My friend found a coupon online we used. The only thing I didn't like was they charge $5 for calluses, and mine are not bad at all. But everything else I loved!*editing my post months later. Docked  them 2 stars. Envy Nails is my go-to salon in the Edina area. I'll be honest right off the bat, that I do not go here for a spa-like getaway, since it lacks that level of ambiance. However, the massage chairs are comfortable, and the nail technicians are INCREDIBLE. They're so detail-oriented; precisely trimming all of my cuticles, meticulously shaping my nails, and always testing my color before they continue. Their gel polish stays on and looks fresh for at least 2wks, if not 3. The staff is friendly enough, and I've never had to wait more than 5min when I walk in without an appointment. Read Less

I've been here several times for gel manicures. It's really clean and the staff are very kind. You can walk in, but I've always called ahead which works well as I get in more quickly. I can not have un-manicured nails. I just can't. I was having a really bad nail day today and couldn't wait til the end of the day to hit up my usual nail salon so I scurried off to Envy Nails on my lunch break without an appointment in hopes that they'd be able to help a girl out! I came in at 12:45 and was out within the hour. Mai did a great job removing my old gels, reshaping, and cleaning up my nails back to perfection. Their price points were average. I really wanted to like it this place. I am tired of the pressure of the up sell at a nearby nail salon.  I bought a. Groupon to give it a try. My gel manicure is really bad. The ends of my nails are not completely covered. It is already lifting on the sides after one day. I don't think the guy who did my nails usually does gel. It took forever!  Also, my manicurist was obviously very sick. He should have NOT been working on people.  I felt bad for him, but worse for me, because I now have a very bad cold. Read Less
