I really wanted to like this place as my friend suggested it and we went to have some girl time. We made appointments together and were there right when it opened. Though there were only 2-4 customers they will would not let us sit together. Add to that the lady who did my nails cut my cuticles on my thumb and middle finger & my thumb was bleeding and all she could say was "sorry." Also they tried not to give me the discount for paying in cash (It was more there than at Ivy nails where I normally go.) I will never go back to this place again. I don't know how they stay open. Ivy Nails in Brooklyn Park does a much better job. We were not offered any water or anything (though it was super hot that day and I am always offered a beverage at Ivy Nail). I wish I could go back in time and re-do the day because I would have never darkened the door of this place!
**TO the 5 star reviewer below; yes I do get my nails done on a regular basis and get Gel nails done & I get it for less and IVY Nails and they do a million times better of a good job. The # of negative reviews speak for itself.

Horrible!!! The woman who did my nails spoke English and she even said she graduated from a high school here in MN and she understood everything I said to her in English. Ugly nails in the end smh waste of time and super painful!! Please please don’t come here!! When it came time to pay she insisted I use the ATM but they charge me to take out cash. I told her I will pay with card and she got mad. All of a sudden she says she will charge me $50 plus a tip and I’m like hold up???? No no tip!! Just $50 and that’s it!! I knew they wanted to charge extra but no! And she pretends she can’t speak English all of sudden only Vietnamese and says tip tip!! I only paid my $50 and left ! Terrible service !! I wish you all could see how she left my nails. Don’t go there!!

I just had the WORST experience here. My friend and I brought our 4 year old daughters for manicures, and the woman who did mine did a terrible job. She kept hurting me when doing my cuticles, and I did tell her several times it hurt, and she completely skipped the lotion and massage. After my nails were dry, she came to put oil on them, and she kept pushing the tip of the bottle too hard against my nails, and three of them ended up with "holes" where she chipped the polish. I told her I did not have time to sit and have my nails redone, due to the fact we had somewhere to be, and the 4 year olds nails were dry, and they had been very well behaved. I asked for her to remove my polish and just give me a refund - I paid in cash. She told me to go back to her station, and to wait, and we just kept waiting. I finally told her I needed to leave. After waiting longer, the manager finally came over and told me since the woman had done my cuticles she could let me get a free polish change next time I came. I told her I did not want that, I wanted a refund. I went on to say I even brought my own polish, and she can keep the tip if she wants for the cuticles, even though she hurt me while my cuticles were being done. The manager had been doing my daughter's friend's nails, and said she could hear us, and I never said that. I looked at the woman who did my nails and asked if I had told her she hurt me, and she said, "yes!" The manager then told me last time I was there I caused problems. The last time I got a manicure there was in December, and there were no problems! She then said something I couldn't understand to the woman, and as the manager was walking away, she asked me my name, so I told her, and then she said she was going to remember me. I will not stand for being "threatened" when I was wronged, and just wanted a refund. I told her I would have just left with my money, but now was going to tell people about my experience. At least in the end, I did get my money back.

2) most of the techs do a great job, there have been times that I’ve had to point things out for them to change to my liking and they do exactly that. If you don’t say something while your nails are being done and somethings off, that’s your own fault. They will definitely take care of you.
3) all the employees are actually super nice
4) Ann is my favorite, she does my nails perfectly every time.
5) that’s a lie that they wouldn’t do a service an hour before close unless the service requested was gonna take longer than an hour, which a manicure/pedicure definitely would.
6) they don’t overcharge. $25 for a full set means $25 for exactly that. Gel costs more anywhere.
7) any negative reviewer probably doesn’t get their nails done regularly because I’ve tried places all over the twin cities and at overpriced places in uptown and I still make a 30 minute drive to maple grove to go to this location regularaly because of the excellent service.

Horrible experience went in on Sunday evening with my cousin and let me just say I would not recommend this place to anyone! (I should of read the reviews) I tried out this place because I was told they were good... Not even close actually. It was my first time in. Let me start with how they are too over priced for the poor job they did. It’s Wednesday and my nails look like I could use a full big time. I talked to the “manager” who told me I could come in so she could fix them and I did but she didn’t do anything. The girl who greeted me laughed when I said I had an appointment with their manager and walked away. Horrible service will not be back. If you have cash awesome you’ll get a $2!! Discount don’t use their atm because it’ll charge you extra to take money out and they also charge extra for the shape you want if it’s anything but squared, they don’t charge extra for squared nails. I will continue going to my regular nail salon and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! NAILS & SPA off of Main Street in Maple Grove.

I loved everything about this place from the pineapple mimosas, to the clean atmosphere to the clean supplies the nail techs used, however my only complaint is that my nail lady who did my pedicure seemed rude I attempted to have a conversation or to engage one and she seemed a bit unhappy to be there and would hardly talk to me if i asked her questions. While my friend had another chick, she was amazing and helpful and gave her the best customer service. I went for the first time with my friend since I’ve been dying to try this place out. I will definitely go back however not with the same chick I went with. If it wasn’t for the fact that i had terrible customer service I would’ve gave this place a 5 star.

I went in for a quick gel manicure. The technician had no idea what a gel manicure was - even after describing what I was talking about. The woman next to me explained that I needed call it a shellac manicure. The color choices were terrible, lots of glitter and not a single true red (like a blood red). So I had to settle for a wine color. The salon is cluttered and shabby - nail polish spills on the walls, worn furniture, even the polish bottles looked bad. My manicure was good, but the technician rushed through the uv light cures. 5 days later and 3 nails are chipping and my thumb polish has mysteriously turned hazy. Cost was $33 if paid in cash or $35 for credit card. I wanted to pay with my card and was prodded to use the atm instead, which I refused. When I asked to add the tip to my charge, I was asked to pay the tip in cash. I'm not sure what's going on with that, but perhaps the technicians aren't getting paid fairly hence the push for cash. I won't be back.

I used to live in brooklyn park and went to different nail salon and recently moved to maple grove. I wanted to try a new salon since it was closer to me. I had the worst experience ever! The reason why I gave it one star was because the staff are very rude. I usually get my nails done and they were very rough on my nails. They buffed my nails and when I got home, they hurt more than usual. And when I say that, it hurt really bad. I have never had any problems with that until I got my nails done at this salon. Another thing was that my card kept declining. I did not know why but then I tried my other card and it went through. Then I paid for my friend's nails with the same card that went through and it declined it. I had to use 4 different cards. They kept insisting to use the atm in their shop but I refused because I knew their wasn't anything wrong with my card. I did not know why my card declined. And all of my cards? They worked everywhere else after and before I came to the shop. I do not remember my nail tech but I insisted her to buff down the acrylic because it was way too thick for me. She kept telling me that she wouldn't do it because it wouldn't look like. I asked her again and she refused. She painted my nails and I just went and paid but did not tip her. ALSO, dont get me started on their machines to dry the nail polish! You literally have to use your ankles or wrist to lift up the dryer to dry your polish. They did not check on me after they sent me to their dryer station and took the next customer. Their dryers STUCK! They would turn off and back on. Sometimes you had to rest your wrist a certain way to get the dryer to turn on. Most of them didnt even work so you had to shuffle through them to see if one worked and one didn't.

I went to Aqua with a friend and I saw Tina. She made my thumb bleed and 4 other fingers filed down to the point there was none of my real nail there! We asked another lady (forgot her name) to split the bill half and half between me and my friend. She charged my friend 65 and me only 19! We were told 30-35 dollars per acrylic nail sets and ended up paying over 80. The didn't tell us they took their own amount of tip out of our bill and told my friend to go to an ATM and take out money but didn't clarify it was for a tip. We thought it was part of our bill! They were really rude and got frustrated with us because we didn't understand them. I'm hard of hearing and told Tina and she never took of her mask to mouth the words. BAD experience, won't go there again!

They are very lazy. I've given this place multiple tries to get it together and haven't said anything to see if they'd fix their mistakes and never did. Today I went in for a French manicure and she started putting some weird white tips on my nails and I stopped and said this isn't what I asked for then she laughed and asked do you really want the gel polish I said yes, that's what I came in and asked for. She then put acrylics on my nails and made the thumb a lot shorter than the other nails I asked for her to redo it she said it will be fine once she shaped it, she reshaped it and it looked worse I then proceeded to ask for her to either take $2 off or restart the whole nail and she restarted the whole nail. Not impressed at all. Terrible customer service and they barely interact with customers. 10/10 wouldn't go back after all the chances I've given this place.

I came here to get a full set gel artificial nails color removed and to have my nails shortened for work and the service I got was unplug not only was my nail tech rude but she gives attitude when I asked her adjust to what I wanted. Though I had a picture I showed her of what I wanted it wasn't what I received. When she got though I hated with my nails I pairs for the service and tipped her. While waiting for my friend nails to be done I asked the other tech over long it would take to have to artificial nails removed completely because i hated it and she talked to the other nail tech in the shops and said if I wanted it removed id have to pay 10 dollars for the service again. Even after showering her the photos what I wanted it clearly wasn't what the tech did she insisted my nails looks like the photo of what I wanted they wouldn't even budge though I tipped 50% of the service I received and hated.Please save yourself the trip and do not come to this place you will be disappointed. I came here because they were open and I needed this done before work the next day but I would've never if other nail salons were open.

Tina talked me into upping my Pedi-package to this Icy Hot concoction, which was well worth it with the yelp Check-in $7 coupon and considering that I'm a bit achy from the move and cleaning. Tina massaged the heck out of my feet and legs. She even did the deep pressure massage in Between my ankles/heel and it felt so good that I was shutting my eyes and they were seriously rolling to the back of my head. This is definitely a place that I will come back to when I need some pampering and I'll even see Tina again.

Great manicure and pedicure! Every time I decide to go somewhere else more convenient, I regret it. Van does a wonderful job. Prices seem a little higher than other salons in town but it's worth it. Parking can be a bit of a pain as the mall is usually busy but I'll continue to go back and have Van do my gel nails and pedicures.

Went in for a pedicure and manicure with a friend and was helped by Thane. She was automatically crabby and seemed annoyed that we were there. When the pedicure was finished she started on the gel manicure. She barely filed my nails down and when I asked her if she would file them shorter she was instantly annoyed. She only put on 2 coats of color/gel. It's been one week and my friend's and my nails are already chipping. Usually when I get a gel manicure it lasts about 3 weeks. Not a pleasant experience, won't be returning.

Used a Groupon here last week for the "Island pedicure". Standard nail salon; very large inside with lots of seating. The staff approached me right away and made me feel welcome. From entering to soaking my tootsies in a relaxing foot bath, it was no longer than 3 minutes. Received a wonderful pedicure--soak, cuticle trim, file, scrub, massage, and to top it off this crazy mint green mask-like treatment that helps to create a supple, smooth skin and promote blood flow. Personally, I wasn't a huge fan as it was SO COLD! The pedicurist was an absolute doll and wrapped my feet in warm towels to alleviate the chilled feeling.My pedicure still looks like I just got it done. Great salon. I would agree with the previous comments, however that I would not pay full price for a pedicure here ($60) and instead wait for a groupon. Make sure to "Check-in" on Yelp as you'll save $7 with a $40 purchase!

Holy huge nail salon! I had a groupon for what I thought was a gel manicure but turned out to be just a gel polish. Oh well, I'll spring for the manicure next time.I made a reservation and didn't have to wait at all to be taken care of. They did have a front desk person which I really appreciated (most nail places I've patronized do not). The polish job was really fast at only 20 minutes and it is still holding up a week later (after camping and a TON of yard work). They had a ton of other options for manicures / pedicures including some sort of monthly package. If I happen to be in the Maple Grove area I may stop in again. They did seem a little more expensive than other nail places so it won't be my go to place but it could work in a pinch.

I have gone to this salon several times and it continues to go down hill. Last night I went there and I had to tell the technician to use toe separators. I have encountered technicians that don't use toe separators before unless you tell them to. That's ridiculous. Also, the place was very hot. The technician told me my nails were dry when they weren't and I ended up with a smudge. She was going to patch that spot but couldn't find the polish I had her use! Unbelievable. I don't recommend this salon at all. There are 3 others within a 2 to 3 mile radius of this place. I won't go back there. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me to see this place go under. This review is for the gel polish service that they did an amazing job on. I had a $10 Groupon and made my reservation in advance for Friday at 1 PM. The service was prompt (I didn't have to wait around) and the whole thing took about 30 min. My polish still looks great 7 days later with zero peeling or chipping. I would definitely come back if I wanted another gel polish done.

This salon used to be called Avalon about a year ago. I bought a coupon for Aqua without knowing exactly where it was located, in the place next to Borders. (The information below, about Aqua being established in 2008, is not accurate.) Avalon looked great but the service was bad, and I rejoiced in its downfall. Even so, I decided to try Aqua. I've learned from the show "Pitbulls & Parolees" that people (and pitbulls) need second chances. Aqua could be on a show called "Nail Salons & Nitwits", where people like me return as customers despite horrific pedicures. Unfortunately, the story arc would lie quite low, as Aqua is not at all different from Avalon. I left with bloody cuticles and smudgy polish. The guy doing my nails was hitting on the customer seated next to me. Awkward.

I really wanted to like this place as my friend suggested it and we went to have some girl time. We made appointments together and were there right when it opened. Though there were only 2-4 customers they will would not let us sit together. Add to that the lady who did my nails cut my cuticles on my thumb and middle finger & my thumb was bleeding and all she could say was "sorry." Also they tried not to give me the discount for paying in cash (It was more there than at Ivy nails where I normally go.) I will never go back to this place again. I don't know how they stay open. Ivy Nails in Brooklyn Park does a much better job. We were not offered any water or anything (though it was super hot that day and I am always offered a beverage at Ivy Nail). I wish I could go back in time and re-do the day because I would have never darkened the door of this place!
**TO the 5 star reviewer below; yes I do get my nails done on a regular basis and get Gel nails done & I get it for less and IVY Nails and they do a million times better of a good job. The # of negative reviews speak for itself.

Horrible!!! The woman who did my nails spoke English and she even said she graduated from a high school here in MN and she understood everything I said to her in English. Ugly nails in the end smh waste of time and super painful!! Please please don’t come here!! When it came time to pay she insisted I use the ATM but they charge me to take out cash. I told her I will pay with card and she got mad. All of a sudden she says she will charge me $50 plus a tip and I’m like hold up???? No no tip!! Just $50 and that’s it!! I knew they wanted to charge extra but no! And she pretends she can’t speak English all of sudden only Vietnamese and says tip tip!! I only paid my $50 and left ! Terrible service !! I wish you all could see how she left my nails. Don’t go there!!

I just had the WORST experience here. My friend and I brought our 4 year old daughters for manicures, and the woman who did mine did a terrible job. She kept hurting me when doing my cuticles, and I did tell her several times it hurt, and she completely skipped the lotion and massage. After my nails were dry, she came to put oil on them, and she kept pushing the tip of the bottle too hard against my nails, and three of them ended up with "holes" where she chipped the polish. I told her I did not have time to sit and have my nails redone, due to the fact we had somewhere to be, and the 4 year olds nails were dry, and they had been very well behaved. I asked for her to remove my polish and just give me a refund - I paid in cash. She told me to go back to her station, and to wait, and we just kept waiting. I finally told her I needed to leave. After waiting longer, the manager finally came over and told me since the woman had done my cuticles she could let me get a free polish change next time I came. I told her I did not want that, I wanted a refund. I went on to say I even brought my own polish, and she can keep the tip if she wants for the cuticles, even though she hurt me while my cuticles were being done. The manager had been doing my daughter's friend's nails, and said she could hear us, and I never said that. I looked at the woman who did my nails and asked if I had told her she hurt me, and she said, "yes!" The manager then told me last time I was there I caused problems. The last time I got a manicure there was in December, and there were no problems! She then said something I couldn't understand to the woman, and as the manager was walking away, she asked me my name, so I told her, and then she said she was going to remember me. I will not stand for being "threatened" when I was wronged, and just wanted a refund. I told her I would have just left with my money, but now was going to tell people about my experience. At least in the end, I did get my money back.

2) most of the techs do a great job, there have been times that I’ve had to point things out for them to change to my liking and they do exactly that. If you don’t say something while your nails are being done and somethings off, that’s your own fault. They will definitely take care of you.
3) all the employees are actually super nice
4) Ann is my favorite, she does my nails perfectly every time.
5) that’s a lie that they wouldn’t do a service an hour before close unless the service requested was gonna take longer than an hour, which a manicure/pedicure definitely would.
6) they don’t overcharge. $25 for a full set means $25 for exactly that. Gel costs more anywhere.
7) any negative reviewer probably doesn’t get their nails done regularly because I’ve tried places all over the twin cities and at overpriced places in uptown and I still make a 30 minute drive to maple grove to go to this location regularaly because of the excellent service.

Horrible experience went in on Sunday evening with my cousin and let me just say I would not recommend this place to anyone! (I should of read the reviews) I tried out this place because I was told they were good... Not even close actually. It was my first time in. Let me start with how they are too over priced for the poor job they did. It’s Wednesday and my nails look like I could use a full big time. I talked to the “manager” who told me I could come in so she could fix them and I did but she didn’t do anything. The girl who greeted me laughed when I said I had an appointment with their manager and walked away. Horrible service will not be back. If you have cash awesome you’ll get a $2!! Discount don’t use their atm because it’ll charge you extra to take money out and they also charge extra for the shape you want if it’s anything but squared, they don’t charge extra for squared nails. I will continue going to my regular nail salon and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! NAILS & SPA off of Main Street in Maple Grove.

I loved everything about this place from the pineapple mimosas, to the clean atmosphere to the clean supplies the nail techs used, however my only complaint is that my nail lady who did my pedicure seemed rude I attempted to have a conversation or to engage one and she seemed a bit unhappy to be there and would hardly talk to me if i asked her questions. While my friend had another chick, she was amazing and helpful and gave her the best customer service. I went for the first time with my friend since I’ve been dying to try this place out. I will definitely go back however not with the same chick I went with. If it wasn’t for the fact that i had terrible customer service I would’ve gave this place a 5 star.

I went in for a quick gel manicure. The technician had no idea what a gel manicure was - even after describing what I was talking about. The woman next to me explained that I needed call it a shellac manicure. The color choices were terrible, lots of glitter and not a single true red (like a blood red). So I had to settle for a wine color. The salon is cluttered and shabby - nail polish spills on the walls, worn furniture, even the polish bottles looked bad. My manicure was good, but the technician rushed through the uv light cures. 5 days later and 3 nails are chipping and my thumb polish has mysteriously turned hazy. Cost was $33 if paid in cash or $35 for credit card. I wanted to pay with my card and was prodded to use the atm instead, which I refused. When I asked to add the tip to my charge, I was asked to pay the tip in cash. I'm not sure what's going on with that, but perhaps the technicians aren't getting paid fairly hence the push for cash. I won't be back.

I used to live in brooklyn park and went to different nail salon and recently moved to maple grove. I wanted to try a new salon since it was closer to me. I had the worst experience ever! The reason why I gave it one star was because the staff are very rude. I usually get my nails done and they were very rough on my nails. They buffed my nails and when I got home, they hurt more than usual. And when I say that, it hurt really bad. I have never had any problems with that until I got my nails done at this salon. Another thing was that my card kept declining. I did not know why but then I tried my other card and it went through. Then I paid for my friend's nails with the same card that went through and it declined it. I had to use 4 different cards. They kept insisting to use the atm in their shop but I refused because I knew their wasn't anything wrong with my card. I did not know why my card declined. And all of my cards? They worked everywhere else after and before I came to the shop. I do not remember my nail tech but I insisted her to buff down the acrylic because it was way too thick for me. She kept telling me that she wouldn't do it because it wouldn't look like. I asked her again and she refused. She painted my nails and I just went and paid but did not tip her. ALSO, dont get me started on their machines to dry the nail polish! You literally have to use your ankles or wrist to lift up the dryer to dry your polish. They did not check on me after they sent me to their dryer station and took the next customer. Their dryers STUCK! They would turn off and back on. Sometimes you had to rest your wrist a certain way to get the dryer to turn on. Most of them didnt even work so you had to shuffle through them to see if one worked and one didn't.

I went to Aqua with a friend and I saw Tina. She made my thumb bleed and 4 other fingers filed down to the point there was none of my real nail there! We asked another lady (forgot her name) to split the bill half and half between me and my friend. She charged my friend 65 and me only 19! We were told 30-35 dollars per acrylic nail sets and ended up paying over 80. The didn't tell us they took their own amount of tip out of our bill and told my friend to go to an ATM and take out money but didn't clarify it was for a tip. We thought it was part of our bill! They were really rude and got frustrated with us because we didn't understand them. I'm hard of hearing and told Tina and she never took of her mask to mouth the words. BAD experience, won't go there again!

They are very lazy. I've given this place multiple tries to get it together and haven't said anything to see if they'd fix their mistakes and never did. Today I went in for a French manicure and she started putting some weird white tips on my nails and I stopped and said this isn't what I asked for then she laughed and asked do you really want the gel polish I said yes, that's what I came in and asked for. She then put acrylics on my nails and made the thumb a lot shorter than the other nails I asked for her to redo it she said it will be fine once she shaped it, she reshaped it and it looked worse I then proceeded to ask for her to either take $2 off or restart the whole nail and she restarted the whole nail. Not impressed at all. Terrible customer service and they barely interact with customers. 10/10 wouldn't go back after all the chances I've given this place.

I came here to get a full set gel artificial nails color removed and to have my nails shortened for work and the service I got was unplug not only was my nail tech rude but she gives attitude when I asked her adjust to what I wanted. Though I had a picture I showed her of what I wanted it wasn't what I received. When she got though I hated with my nails I pairs for the service and tipped her. While waiting for my friend nails to be done I asked the other tech over long it would take to have to artificial nails removed completely because i hated it and she talked to the other nail tech in the shops and said if I wanted it removed id have to pay 10 dollars for the service again. Even after showering her the photos what I wanted it clearly wasn't what the tech did she insisted my nails looks like the photo of what I wanted they wouldn't even budge though I tipped 50% of the service I received and hated.Please save yourself the trip and do not come to this place you will be disappointed. I came here because they were open and I needed this done before work the next day but I would've never if other nail salons were open.

Tina talked me into upping my Pedi-package to this Icy Hot concoction, which was well worth it with the yelp Check-in $7 coupon and considering that I'm a bit achy from the move and cleaning. Tina massaged the heck out of my feet and legs. She even did the deep pressure massage in Between my ankles/heel and it felt so good that I was shutting my eyes and they were seriously rolling to the back of my head. This is definitely a place that I will come back to when I need some pampering and I'll even see Tina again.

Great manicure and pedicure! Every time I decide to go somewhere else more convenient, I regret it. Van does a wonderful job. Prices seem a little higher than other salons in town but it's worth it. Parking can be a bit of a pain as the mall is usually busy but I'll continue to go back and have Van do my gel nails and pedicures.

A little on the pricey side. Did a wonderful job on my manicure, however, I was disappointed in the choice of nail polish colors. Everything seemed to be in pink or orange. I wish they would keep up with the trends and maybe try more corals, nudes, and browns. I like to try out different colors but there wasn't much of a selection.

Went in for a pedicure and manicure with a friend and was helped by Thane. She was automatically crabby and seemed annoyed that we were there. When the pedicure was finished she started on the gel manicure. She barely filed my nails down and when I asked her if she would file them shorter she was instantly annoyed. She only put on 2 coats of color/gel. It's been one week and my friend's and my nails are already chipping. Usually when I get a gel manicure it lasts about 3 weeks. Not a pleasant experience, won't be returning.

Used a Groupon here last week for the "Island pedicure". Standard nail salon; very large inside with lots of seating. The staff approached me right away and made me feel welcome. From entering to soaking my tootsies in a relaxing foot bath, it was no longer than 3 minutes. Received a wonderful pedicure--soak, cuticle trim, file, scrub, massage, and to top it off this crazy mint green mask-like treatment that helps to create a supple, smooth skin and promote blood flow. Personally, I wasn't a huge fan as it was SO COLD! The pedicurist was an absolute doll and wrapped my feet in warm towels to alleviate the chilled feeling.My pedicure still looks like I just got it done. Great salon. I would agree with the previous comments, however that I would not pay full price for a pedicure here ($60) and instead wait for a groupon. Make sure to "Check-in" on Yelp as you'll save $7 with a $40 purchase!

Holy huge nail salon! I had a groupon for what I thought was a gel manicure but turned out to be just a gel polish. Oh well, I'll spring for the manicure next time.I made a reservation and didn't have to wait at all to be taken care of. They did have a front desk person which I really appreciated (most nail places I've patronized do not). The polish job was really fast at only 20 minutes and it is still holding up a week later (after camping and a TON of yard work). They had a ton of other options for manicures / pedicures including some sort of monthly package. If I happen to be in the Maple Grove area I may stop in again. They did seem a little more expensive than other nail places so it won't be my go to place but it could work in a pinch.

I have gone to this salon several times and it continues to go down hill. Last night I went there and I had to tell the technician to use toe separators. I have encountered technicians that don't use toe separators before unless you tell them to. That's ridiculous. Also, the place was very hot. The technician told me my nails were dry when they weren't and I ended up with a smudge. She was going to patch that spot but couldn't find the polish I had her use! Unbelievable. I don't recommend this salon at all. There are 3 others within a 2 to 3 mile radius of this place. I won't go back there. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me to see this place go under. They probably can't afford the rent. No stars for this salon.

This review is for the gel polish service that they did an amazing job on. I had a $10 Groupon and made my reservation in advance for Friday at 1 PM. The service was prompt (I didn't have to wait around) and the whole thing took about 30 min. My polish still looks great 7 days later with zero peeling or chipping. I would definitely come back if I wanted another gel polish done.

Subscribe to their Twitter Feed and Facebook to get other discounts like 30% off waxing, $32.99 mani pedi combo and $18.99 Gelish. Not my usual salon, but with the coupon they'll do in a pinch. If I didn't have the coupons, I wouldn't go.

This salon used to be called Avalon about a year ago. I bought a coupon for Aqua without knowing exactly where it was located, in the place next to Borders. (The information below, about Aqua being established in 2008, is not accurate.) Avalon looked great but the service was bad, and I rejoiced in its downfall. Even so, I decided to try Aqua. I've learned from the show "Pitbulls & Parolees" that people (and pitbulls) need second chances. Aqua could be on a show called "Nail Salons & Nitwits", where people like me return as customers despite horrific pedicures. Unfortunately, the story arc would lie quite low, as Aqua is not at all different from Avalon. I left with bloody cuticles and smudgy polish. The guy doing my nails was hitting on the customer seated next to me. Awkward.
