Today my daughter and I walked in and we were told there was no wait, and to pick out polish.  We picked out our polish, and were then asked to wait in the lobby for about 10 min.  Then a woman came in at 3:00 and said she had an appt, so we were told it would be up to 35 minutes.  It wasn't until 4:30 that they were ready for us.  The girls were very nice so no complaints against them.  Poor management. For the price they do a pretty good job. They charge more then most other nail places but you do tend to get a better mani/pedi. I've been coming here for years and have had mostly good experiences... try to avoid going on Weekends (Saturdays especially) . It's extremely busy and anything but relaxing there in the weekends. Okay service. The man i had doing my nails, was on the phone the entire time. He is the manager, so I understand you gotta do what you gotta do, but if it's that busy, he should be paying attention to the client. I'm visiting the area and decided to pamper myself a bit.  Had one of the best pedicures ever!!  I decided to try the jelly pedicure.  What a unique experience.  I wish I could get these kind of pedicures back home.  Livvy's nails was so relaxing with the waterfalls.  Also, it didn't have that strong smell that is present in so many nail places.  My only wish is that they were closer to my home! I walked in today to get a pedicure, and was told by a staff member that they had time (I did not have an appointment). She told me to pick a color. I did, sat there and waited another 5 minutes awkwardly while no one made any notice of me, and then the manager came over and asked if he could help me. I said "I'm waiting for a pedicure," to which he replied "I'm in charge here, we don't have time. You'll have to come back later." All while scratching his back on the corner of... the wall without even looking in my direction. I've been here many, many times for pedicures over the last 5 years, and have always been very happy with the service you provide. I was very shocked at how I was treated today. I don't have any problem with being told we don't have time for a walk in (I know that's the risk you take when you don't make an appointment). But don't tell a customer you have time, leave them standing in the hallway, and then come back and send them away. And rudely at that. Really disappointing visit yesterday. $82 (after tip) for a pedicure for myself and my 8 year old daughter. The woman doing my toes was watching a soap opera on her phone the entire time and was irritated if I tried to talk to her because she'd have to take her headphones out. The children's pedicure is listed as $22 in the book of service, but somehow my daughter's was $32. No explanation as to why was given. I'm pretty sure neither of us have a clear coat on and we added it ourselves when we got home. The water bath for my feet was cold and my feet still feel very rough. When I can throw a stone and hit 10 other nail salons you have to be better than this to get me to come back. This was my last visit. Read Less

Disappointed in the latest service received. The person doing my toes was more concerned with watching some show or movie or something in her purse on the floor than she was with me. At one point she told me she'd be back to "top me off" which I assume meant put a clear coat on. Another woman painted my daughter's toes and I just sat and sat and sat. She never came back to do anything with me. I ended up taking the little toe separators out myself, paying the lady who did my ...daughters toes for both of us and left. Also, I was surprised in the price. The prior time, they charged me $14 or so to paint my daughters fingers and toes. This time, I got my toes painted as well and my total was $63. Took my daughters in and we all got pedicures and my daughters both got manicures as well.  The polish chipped off within the week on them and a couple weeks for me.  I've never had polish chip off so quickly...very disappointing. Read Less

Very bad service. I paid for Deluxe pedicure as I have had it before. They didn't do half of the steps for it. They also became rude when I turned down a gel manicure and wanted a standard one. She rushed through my nails. They have paint missing on them, nails aren't filed evenly, and she cut my cuticles and made them bleed. Will not go back again.Read Less

Every time I have gone Happy, the owner, always does my nails. While he is a good guy as owner he is very busy and tries to do too many jobs at once. Every time my nails are rough and kind of bubbly, very low quality. Read Less

This was not a good experience for me. The pedicure was fine until I took a closer look. I had intended to have the WHOLE toe nail painted, and from a distance it is okayish, but not up close. Then to the manicure...  The first thing I noticed is how dirty the station was! The table was semi-grimy and the lamp was just covered in nail filing dust. After the technician left I blew on the lamp and half of the dust went flying.  Gross.  Lastly, I had a cash tip that I was going to give the technician, but he would have had to come back to check on me for that to happen. 20 or so minutes of sitting there, by myself, I flagged somebody down to see if I was good to go. They forgot I was there. Am I somehow invisible? To add insult to injury the polish lasted less than two days. The only thing good I take away from this is that I didn't waste more cash on tipping. Got a new full set of acrylic nails tonight. The technician took time to listen to what I wanted and did an excellent job. The place was extremely clean, organized and the staff was very professional. The music was very relaxing. I felt very welcomed. They prefer cash instead of paying with a card. I got a manicure and a pedicure at this salon. They were so professional, kind, and informative. The woman who did my pedicure worked extra hard on my callouses and gave me tips on how to soften them. They have calming music and beautiful decor! I have found my new favorite salon. Read Less

I have had SO many aweful experiences here. The first one was getting my acrilic nails off. The woman quite literally attempted to rip them off and ended up ripping most of my pinky nail off. It was excruciating. As I sat there crying in the chair the manager did nothing to help and the woman doing my nails pretended like nothing was wrong. Then I was getting a lip wax there today and first of all the room was disgusting. I asked them to cover the stained and dirty chair that looked like it hadn't been washed... EVER and they said they didn't have anything as a clean covering. The woman applied the wax with a stick as I squatted because I didn't want to sit and ruin my dress on the disgusting chair. Then after she touched the stick to my lips SHE PUT IT BACK IN THE WAX! I also had a zit on my lip that the stick touched, so you're welcome for that in your wax to the next client- WHAT THE HECK. I called her out immediately and she was just its find its fine that's how we do it here so I demanded to talk with the manager named Happy. Happy shifted blame and all responsibility to the waxer and basically told me to be on my way. Another time I was there with a group of friends the person doing my nails was on the phone the entire time and actually shushed me and my friends when we were just trying to enjoy a girls day out and catch up. Came in here after a ROUGH week needing an over-the-top pedicure to soothe my mind and my aching legs.  Yelp reviewers didn't fail me! The entire shop is beautifully decorated and very tranquil. Quiet water features and none of the usual clamor you find in busy salons. A tall divider separates the mani/pedi stations and the chairs are extremely comfortable. Each chair has a personal massage control that is quite a bit more detailed than others I've seen. Also, the pedicure stations are all equipped removable liners that I watched being replaced after each client.The salon has menus up front to peruse, and I chose the Ona-Sen and Pearl pedicure. It was really very nice, a pleasant smelling lotion and extra long massage. No up selling during my pedicure moved this from 4 to 5 stars. I know what I want when I walk in, and dislike when people try to convince me otherwise. There was none of that here. I got to enjoy my pedicure fully at what I believe was a fair price. At the end you can sit in their front lounge with your feet under the coffee table/polish dryer and leave when you're ready. Enjoy this salon, it's excellent! Read Less

I didn't start getting regular manicures until about a year ago, and now I'm hooked. As a person who goes through bouts of nail biting, nicely groomed nails with non-chippable gel polish keeps me from returning to that bad habit. Livvy Nails is close so I started there. I used to just walk in and go with whoever was available, but after Helen did my nails once I decided I needed to start making appointments to ensure she's the one doing my nails. She is great - I'm admittedly a ginormous baby with a low pain tolerance, so I can't handle aggressive filling or overzealous cuticle trimming. Helen is gentle and I've never found a manicurist with better attention to detail. The only reason I have to go back to get my nails done again is because they start to grow out; chipping or peeling is not an issue.The salon is clean, calming and fairly in line with other nail salons in the same area as far as price goes. So give them a try, just don't make Helen so busy she is harder for me to book, please :) Read Less

The atmosphere of this salon is excellent and you're promptly greeted when walking in the door. However, after that "wow" factor, their service and organization seemed a bit lacking.I was the first to arrive of my three-person group (and we'd made appointments about 2 weeks beforehand) but felt rushed to "get going" about one second after the start time. When my friend and I wanted to add on brow waxing to our pre-scheduled pedis, the manager-on-duty (I think?) said sure, but then rushed us through that process, too, in an awkward little room past the row of pedi chairs. He was the one doing the waxing and managed to drip hot wax on my friend's face and head and didn't bother cleaning it out! She ended up picking wax out of her hair all afternoon. My wax was less than great; he got a good shape to my brow, but didn't clean up some wax from my eyelids and also didn't follow up with tweezing to get the hairs that didn't come off with the wax strip.All in all: meh. It was ok, but I got a more thorough (and more careful) wax job from a salon training school in Bloomington for half the price. As for the pedi, it was mediocre and felt rushed, not really relaxing. I'm not likely to make a repeat visit here.PS: The best thing about this salon is the next little drying table they have in the foyer. It looks like a normal coffee table, but you push a button and -- voila! -- drying lamps turn on down below so you can just stick your feet under and chatter away with your friends as your pedis dry. I went here and got my first set of gel nails in many years and both my daughter and I got mani/pedis.  First, I will say that after getting past the initial confusion of what I wanted on my nails (there are a lot more options now than there were 10 years ago), the girl who did my nails did a really good job.  Had I just gone there for fake nails it would have been fine.The pedicure was not good, overall completely worthless.  I could have done the same or better on my own.  The massage was not good.  They hardly massaged my daughter at all.  I could have just paid for a polish change on both of us because that's basically all we got.  And I did not even ask for a spa pedicure so the fact that they did such a horrible job makes it even worse.  Three things were very frustrating about this experience:1. I was a new client and had signed up for a "special" which they were aware of but when I went to leave I was charged $30 more than I expected to be charged.  The girl said she did a "spa" pedicure (without asking me) but she really did not deliver on that so I felt like this was just charging me for something that I not only did not ask for but that she did not even do.  2., They charged me $5 for my daughter's fingers and toes; she asked for a little flower to be painted on.  She is 5 and tiny!  Did they not think to ask me if that was OK before doing this?  I would have at least had them put an applique on her nails instead of paint some stupid design that I do for her regularly anyway!3. And maybe this should be number one but the massage chairs are not in great condition and unfortunately, the place did not appear to be super clean, especially the brushes that you clean your nails with after they do the acrylic or gel or what not. That is just gross and unhygienic.All in all I expected to pay $50 for the service I received which I had in a text message from them and in the end was charged $80 due to lack of communication on the part of the business.  As a result, I will never go back here and cannot recommend anyone else go here unless you are OK with not knowing what you will get and paying more than a service should really cost.  I have had MUCH better services for A LOT less money.
