Lim's used to be my favorite place to go for a manicure or pedicure. Now, however, I will never go there again. The last few times I've gone, they always cut my cuticles and say, "Oops...sorry" and giggle. This last time, they not only cut cuticles on one toe and one finger, but they also exfoliated my feet raw (I don't have feet that need a lot of exfoliation) to the point where I had three open, bleeding wounds. It was right before I took a trip, so I had these wounds rubbing and reopening every time I'd walk. Three weeks later, one of them is still very red and irritated. It's either infected or it's going to be a huge, nasty scar some day. I do not at all recommend going here. Read Less

I absolutely LOVE this salon! I live in downtown Minneapolis but have been driving out to Hopkins for years just to see my nail technician, Sam who applies/maintains my stilettos acrylic nails. Amazing customer service, clean and comfortable home like environment with class, I was immediately greeted my first time into the store and set up with Sam who did the best acrylic set I’ve ever gotten, paid attention to detail, very polite, and enjoyable to talk with as was the whole staff. By far the best nail salon I have ever been to. Lim and his staff do amazing work. Easy to communicate with. After also reading the horror story reviews of salons in my area (Waconia) I will not go anywhere else after going to Lims. Well worth the drive and money :) Read Less

Things have changed so much since Lim left. He always took such pride in his store and the services he offered.The salon is very dirty, have seem the help wipe of floor and then wipe off their station. The best nail shop on the West side! Make sure to set an appointment, you can text them to make an appointment too. My gels last a month!! Also they don't ruin your natural, when you remove your gels your nails will be almost perfect!! I highly recommend!! Read Less

Absolutely love this place!! The stylists are the best, they make you feel so welcome, comfortable, and relaxed.... I always have so much fun. They are absolutely amazing at what they do! I have always been happy with my nails, and everyone there always seems happy! The prices are affordable, but the service is top notch!!! I'm scheduled every 4 weeks. I thought I had crossed all my T's, I read the reviews on Yelp thought I had found the perfect nail shop walked in was pleasantly greeted picked up a business card and chose a polish color, guess NOT. Made an appointment at LIM'S NAIL SALON for an acrylic fill and a pedicure, The workmanship on the fill was so poor when  ( NAVY ) my technician inquired of the color I wanted on my toes for my pedicure I said we can cancel the pedicure, washed my hands ready for my polish paid my bill and handed NAVY back their business card that was her TIP. my appointment was at 2 PM it is now 5 PM the nail polish was so OLD it is still not dry I guess tomorrow when I go to Walmart I'll have to step into their salon and get a polish change. After a few failed attempts at finding a salon for a basic manicure I found Lim's. Shawni did my manicure and provided feedback for a look from a pic on my phone is was trying to replicate. This is my GO TO nail place. There is literally no where else that has better manicure/pedicure quality, and whenever I get my nails done here, it last light years longer than every other place combined. I got my nails done (gel manicure) the beginning of the month from another place, and they fell off within a week - snagging on everything and peeling off. When I got a get manicure at Lim's, they never fall off unless I try hard to peel them off myself - they just grow out with my nail. My mom has always swore by this place, and of course I'm always stubborn and say I'm going to a place closer to home instead... but now whenever I get my nails done, the (a little longer) drive is worth it. After my terrible pedicure from Happy Nails in EP, I was anxious to find a quality experience for my mom and 2 sisters before my brother's wedding. I was between V's Nails and Lim's, and I went with my gut and chose Lim's. I took the advice of other Yelpers and made an appointment for a Friday afternoon: 3 pedicures and 1 gel manicure. Well ladies (and gents I suppose), Lim's did NOT disappoint. Wow. We arrived a few minutes early and took our time picking out colors, but were quickly seated for our appointments all at the same time (always nice when you had a group!) Each of our nail providers were kind, professional and did a great job at both asking us questions that made us feel comfortable and welcome, while also giving us time to just chat with each other and enjoy the experience. We all felt totally at ease and relaxed immediately. The service was wonderful too! We all commented after that it was one of the best experiences we have had at a nail salon - very long foot soak/massage/scrub and the polish jobs were fantastic. I have complete confidence I won't need another pedicure for at least 3-4 weeks, and possibly only then because my nails will have grown out. The price was reasonable too - though you can get a pedicure other places for $20 or $25, the $27 price tag is completely worth it for the quality of work here!This is my new go-to spot; I'll be back in the future for pedicures and would love to try a gel manicure when the occasion arises. Saw the great reviews and decided to get a pedicure since I live so close to Lim's.  Best decision I have made regarding my toes in years.  This place won my loyalty today because of their excellent customer service, patience and perfection.  If you are getting your nails done by anyone else other than Lim's...I feel sad for you. Was recommended to go to Lims and tryed it for the first time today..My technician was Raska and I am so glad that I happen to get her to do my mani and pedi. My lucky day, she was such a perfectionist and her work was truly amazing. Salon was very clean and everyone there was very pleasant as well. I refuse to go anywhere else. My gel manicure lasts three weeks and their prices are lower than the average nail salon. They offer free beverages and fun conversations. They pull out your chair for you and go over the top to make you relaxed and comfortable. The salon is always clean and the tools and supplies come in sanitized packages. There are some posts about not being able to serve on a walk-in basis- I have never had this problem. You have to use common sense. If you come on the weekend or during the evening when they are the busiest, you just may not get in. The fact that I can text Lim to make an appointment is great. Makes scheduling quick and easy. I LOVE LIM'S! I've been getting my nails done for years at all different places (Twin City Nails, Honey Nails, Cupid Nails...) and NONE of them compare to the customer service, care, and quality you get here. I'll never go anywhere else. My gel manicures are flawless (and I'm picky) and would last 3+ weeks every time if I didn't change them. They also know how to remove a gel manicure without destroying your nails which is awesome. PS - Most of the negative reviews on here are about not being able to get a walk-in spot. Easy solution - make an appointment. They're busy for a reason. They're the best!! Read Less

I'm a long-time and faithful client for good reason. I've been to many nail salons over the years, but once I found Lim's Nails, I've not gone anywhere else. The staff is always courteous and friendly. They offer high quality and great value for their services. They are a busy little shop, I'd recommend making a appointment. BUT, they will accommodate walk-ins and just today accepted a walk-in just 10 minutes before closing. This shop is a gem! Read Less
