Spa Mani pedi was wonderful and so relaxing. But, as I was checking out, I was subjected to a mess. One employee took the wrong client and everyone got all messed up. Do NOT go here. I got lash extensions here today and it was honestly the worst experience at a salon that I've ever had. The lady who did my lashes was rude and unfriendly. She didn't even ask me how I wanted my lashes, what length/thickness I wanted, etc, just started putting them on. When I left and got in my car, I looked at them in the mirror and they were outrageously long. Like looked absolutely horrible. So I went back into the salon and spoke with the lady at the front desk. She went and talked to the person who did my lashes, came back and told me that there was nothing they could do. I said I was unhappy with them so there should be something they could do, and she just said no. Didn't try to fix them in any way or make me happy. She was just rude. I called a bunch of other lash places when I left and there are PLENTY of things you can do, one being offering to take them off. The technician should do everything she can to make it better if I am unhappy with my lashes. Never going here again. Horrible service, rude employees, and terrible lash extensions. Read Less

My sister and I recently went to Excelsior Nail and Day Spa as a gift. My sister got what I would describe as an average pedicure. I on the other hand, was subjected to a painful ordeal that left me with bruising and discomfort. I reached out to the salon several days later to let them know my experience. Not only did they seem indifferent, but they did nothing to ease my concern that this wouldn’t happen to someone else. We will not be returning. If I could award less than one star I would. I went here on a Groupon. The staff was pretty friendly and the place is nice. I had a mani pedicure and it was not that great my pedicure was mediocre at best. The French manicure is extra. Which I expected. However I have natural nails and I like them to be creamy colored not stark white the lady did not speak English very well so I had a difficult time communicating this staff stepped in and tried to help but they weren't successful either. The receptionist tried to find it herself and could not. I settled for the white not a big deal but for a high end salon I don't think this should be an impossible request. What's very disappointing is that my polish which I believe was gel didn't last more than a couple of days before chipping. Bottom line this salon seemed cluttered with boxes on the floor and the floor was very dirty. They did start cleaning it while I was there but it was filthy and a Saturday afternoon seemed like a weird time to clean floors with a full house of customers. Anyway I can't see myself returning. I had a wonderful experience with Excelsior Nails & Day Spa. I’ve been coming here for manicures and pedicures, but most recently for a massage. The ladies at the front desk were very welcoming and kind. Terri was fantastic. She genuinely cared about what I was looking for in a massage. She is passionate about what she does and I feel great after spending an hour with her. I am looking forward to booking with her again as I feel like a whole new woman! For those of you think this place is a great place to relax and spend your money, you got fool by its name and its outlooks.  The salon fill with ants, spider and mold.  The massage rooms are in the basement are full of mold that right under the only toilet.  There are about 20 employees plus clients using the only bathroom.  When the toilet get flushed you can hear the very loud water running.  The massage therapist will tell you it just the water sound animation.  Ten of gallons of acetone and alcohol for nails service are stored under the only stairway.  Yes it is a dead trap for those in the basement if there is a fire.  Gel Manicures are come with a parafin wax but the wax been collected and remelted at each night.  There are dirt, skin and bacteria on the bottom of the wax of the warmer.  They drained the dirt off so you never see.  Toes separators, disposable flip flops, disposable files, cellulose file been collected and reused each day until they are falling apart.The spa chairs in the VIP room get clean up about onces a month.  When the Board Cosmetology came for inspection they told the inspector that they couldn't find a screwdriver for opening the pump for the inspection.  They are clearly know they woud fail the inspection. Because they should be clean up after each use.The hot stone dont get wash clear enoug after each use then place back into its warmer.  Its water just the nastiest of all.The fresh orange drink they make each day right on the same sink they clear up dirty tose separators and dirty flip flops.  If they running out of lemons they would collect the rotten oranges for your toe nails.It is clearly the nastiest nail and spa of them all Read Less

Disappointing. Color samples do not match actual colors. The nail polish is applied in such thick layers that it actually leaks under the lamp. The cuticles are not properly removed. It hurt more than it ever has & I'm not new to this service. She acted like she had somewhere else she had to be and rushed the whole thing. She would move skin, apply wax, and then let go to grab a strip which caused skin to adhere to skin. I honestly do not think she looked at what she was doing. I had an ice pack between my legs all e...vening. Once I was able to look at the work this morning (i.e. once the swelling had gone down & bleeding stopped) about 1/4 of the job was not done. To put it bluntly, there is still a sizable portion of hair left. I went back to the salon today to speak with a manager & was told by the receptionist that a manager will call me sometime this week. I asked if anyone wanted to look at things before I went & had things fixed and she was completely lost at this question. I then asked if she wanted me to write out my complaint & she informed me that was unnecessary since she would write it out later today when she had time. She never asked me specifics or what I had a complaint about. The receptionist also informed me that "if you never want to come back again for any service, I totally understand". I hope to hear from a manager soon & hope I'm able to report something good. As of Tuesday morning, I have not heard from anyone regarding my complaint. See More Read Less

I worked with Lisa and she is Wonderful!!! She did my facial. Mani and pedi and was very kind and professional. Plus her skin is beautiful so she have me good tips. I will NEVER go here again. The person doing my nails wouldn't make them shorter because they said it would look stupid. The acrylic stuff they put on your nails hurts SO BAD when they put it under the little lamp. Didn't even last two weeks before they started chipping. One nail cracked and would not fix no matter what. Then nails started cracking and getting ripped off. Now that would be fine IF IT DIDN'T TAKE HALF MY FINGER NAIL WITH IT WHEN IT BROKE OFF. I am in extreme pain after my pointer finger nail broke off and ripped half my nail with it. Not to mention the other day the acrylic slid off of the fake nail that they glued to my hand! Terrible massage and facial at this place...don't do it unless you want to hear how your massage therapist didn't take her mantic depression medication, went on a drinking binge, got a restraining order against her husband for throwing a Coke bottle at her and how she can't attend concerts now because her husband is part of the band, and much more while your paying the place for a relaxing massage...WTF! The facial Tech was uneducated on the the process and application. Very disappointing as we took a day trip to the town and expected way better service. Will never go to this facility again. I went here for both a facial and a massage. Both were exquisite. It was my first time getting a massage so I cannot speak to the techniques used but I can say that my message therapist was very kind and very professional. Due to my surprise period that morning I walked into the message room jittery and unable to sit sit but left feeling completely relaxed. My facial was done by a young woman (likely right out of school) but despite her being green I had a great facial. She was very honest about the products, gave me loads of samples to try, and went beyond what the facial usually consisted of without charging me extra simply because she thought my skin would benefit from it. Of course you should be forewarned that this is a place of business and they will try to sell you items (like all spas/salons). My massage therapist was as good of a saleswoman as she was at massage and I ended up buying a product and booking a second appointment at the end. Overall I am very pleased with my visits so far. My twin sister and I have been getting our nails done here since they opened. I can't believe this is the first time I've written a review. I absolutely love this place. If you are looking for a bachelorette party or a wedding shower or you're just out for a girls night of fun, they have an awesome back room that supports about 12 people to get their nails done at the same time. All of the technicians are very skilled and have great professionalism. I have also received A massage and facial from the same location. Both of them were great. Don't go here for lash extensions. Not only did the woman not listen to what I asked for but she shamed me for the look I wanted and have had done for 2 years. I left with less lashes then I went in with. I also called salon to talk to management about it and they said they'd call me back. Never did. I first noticed this place here on Yelp and wanted to give it a try, and I also noticed them on Groupon so I figured I'd check it out. I opted for a walk-in as their listing dictates you don't need an appointment. Upon walking in the door I was able to get in right away. The front desk staff leaves a bit to be desired however. They weren't very friendly and I felt like a bother to them. I received the spa pedi & mani which was great. The Groupon deal came with a complimentary glass of wine - BONUS! :-) My service provider was very kind and sweet, she did a great job! I do have to say that for as big as this place is, the manicure area is really cramped. My service provider's station was right next to the front desk and she kept getting bumped by the people walking by. It wasn't a very luxurious experience for that portion. Overall I'm very pleased with my experience and will probably go back. I do hope though that they find more friendly front desk staff though. Read Less

I just thought I would post some comments about Excelsior nail and spa. I chris was just there and received the worst massage ever. After complaining to the owner how bad it was she said that she would make it right. what a joke. Kay pawned it off on getting a refund from groupon. The massuse yawned the whole time and had to take a bathroom break during the middle of the massage.
