This woman is a complete B__ch! I contacted her about a manicure and scheduled an appointment via several texts with her. She never confirmed with me but I thought the appointment was solid. I arrived after driving through rush hour from Lakeville and she rudely told me that I never had an appointment. I pulled up my text from her from a month earlier and showed her but she basically told me, "too bad" I'm so BUSY and BOOKED I don't' have the time of day for you. She needs to learn a thing or two about running a small business and how to treat clients. She may do a good manicure but her business acumen is terribly lacking. She is the furthest thing from being a class act but rather a clown show and her mannerisms and attitude show it! Read Less

Like so many others, I had the Groupon for a $15 gel mani. For the price, I was pretty happy with the experience, but if I had paid the usual price of $45, I wouldn't have been. IMPORTANT TO NOTE: She is located in the strip mall containing Caribou Coffee and Chipotle. Once you get to the strip mall, you have to go inside Phenix Salon Suites and go to Suite 129. I had the WORST time finding it, you guys. When I did find her studio, the first impression wasn't a great one. She seemed stressed and exasperated, and as soon as she saw me standing in the hallway, she somewhat rudely started telling me "I'm having problems with my schedule, so I just need a minute to figure things out, okay? Just give me a MINUTE, that's all I need. Just wait." She told me that a couple times as I stood dumbstruck in the hallway. It turns out she had been having problems with her tablet not saving her appointments in the calendar, and she had double-booked. I have to say I felt sorry for her having so many technical difficulties beyond her control. I would have been stressed too. I just wasn't super thrilled to be greeted that way. When all that was figured out, she started the manicure and was friendly enough. She recommended cuticle oil or vitamin e oil to help with my dry, brittle nails (she sells some there, too). She was very quick - I felt like I was getting an express mani.I'm pretty happy with the way my nails look, although they are a bit shorter than I would have hoped. I still have another Groupon for Kimberly, and I would like to get almond-shaped nails next time. Unlike some salons, Kimberly does not upcharge for the almond shape.Kimberly books out pretty far and it's difficult to reach her. I got her voicemail so many times before finally being able to set something up. I also wasn't able to get an appointment in time for a formal event I had, so I had to go to someone else for that. If you're getting your nails done for an event, make sure to set up the appointment several weeks in advance so you can get in! Read Less

I always read reviews but never write them... but I want to for studio K. Studio K has very poor customer service... which says a lot about a place. When I initially called for an appointment she told me she had no evenings or weekends available for a few weeks out and seem annoyed that those were the only times that worked for me. She runs the studio by herself which really limits availability. Right away I was asking her friendly questions about her business. She gave short responses and it was a very one-sided conversation , so I backed off. The rest of the time I sat in silence (besides her phone ringing multiple times). If you're not interested in conversation, a least play a little music! Because of this, I will never go back. To have a successful business, you need to have good customer service. She seemed like she wanted to get done asap and wasn't interested in her customers. It came across as being rude. I like the way she did my nails. But because of the tense environment, I will be sure to choose se a salon that values their customers (aka pretty much any other salon). Read Less

Ok, I bought this last August and called and called and emailed her several times with no response. Sure, I'm usually inquiring about the upcoming week and maybe she's really thaat busy. I don't know. But a response would be nice; maybe if she asked me when she could get me on her schedule sometime? So anyway, I noticed the groupon was about to expire as I'm starting to pick at my current gel mani. Hey, Kimberly, we "groupon people" aren't all cheap tippers either. Your loss. Read Less

I really wish I had read the reviews on here prior to coming here. I bought a groupon and recently booked an appointment. It started out a little awkward. I followed her hours listed and came in for a walk in. Place was closed. Totally ok. When I called her to make an appointment, and referenced her hours she seemed exasperated and annoyed on the phone at the prospect of even making the appointment. I made the appointment for several weeks out for a pedicure. A few days prior to the meeting she called to move my appointment. Not a great start. I arrived promptly to my appointment. There was someone still having  a service done. I gently knocked and said I was here for a 1 pm and she snapped at me and said, "you'll have to wait outside until I get done". It felt like I was being chastised for showing up. I patiently waited outside until she told me I could come in. There is only one spa pedicure chair and the previous client was still in it. She said she would get started on my manicure. I told her I had booked a pedicure when I called at which point she became argumentative and said that she knew I booked a gel manicure and not a pedicure and said she would have remembered if it was a pedicure and that's when things really took a turn. In front of the other patron she angrily said "what kind of groupon do you have?!" I said that I had purchased it a while ago and at this point was just a voucher. She was clearly annoyed. She had the other patron wait outside. She asked for the voucher and then told me to sit down. Then asked me what kind of polish color I wanted. We did the rest of the appointment in a dead silence. Even when my manicurist doesn't speak english I still try to make conversation to make for a pleasant environment. She clipped my nails, didn't file them or shape them, or do anything with the cuticles. She put some polish on and called it a day.  The service was abysmal and the pedicure was sub-par. The moral of the story is, go to your local salon where you can get a manicure for 10-20 dollars and a pedicure for 25. Please save your money and don't come here. Read Less

Bought a Groupon for gel manicure, but only wanted a regular manicure which I let her know when I made my appointment.the price of a regular manicure is $20 less than a gel manicure). I get many manicures, but thought I would give this a try since I was having a facial at the same location.  While Kimberly's personality is nice, she was very condescending when discussing the products that I use which were recommended by my dermatologist, Dr Crutchfield.  I arrived exactly on time for my appointment.  She still had a client that she was chatting with.  She did not acknowledge me as I sat outside her suite waiting for them to finish up.  I waited approx 10 minutes before her client finally left.  When we started, she did not do anything to my cuticles, but did shape my nails somewhat.  I did not want polish (just my personal preference).  She rubbed my hands with cream for a couple minutes, then her next client arrived, and I was done.  Unfortunately, i usually tip well when using a Groupon, so she received a 25% tip on the price of a regular manicure, and I was in and out in less than 20 minutes.  Good thing for her that I didn't want the gel manicure because her next client would have been waiting quite a long time!  I would not recommend Kimberly for a regular manicure.  She may do a great job on gel manicures and pedicures, but I won't be going back to find out.
