Don't come here unless you want to give away free money for an okay mani and pedi service. The receptionists are so unprofessional and the nail techs. It's a small place so you can hear literally everything. I've had Mckenna and Jillian. Jillian is the worst nail tech there could be on this earth she thinks she's great at this but she can think again, horrible attitude and service, can't believe anyone would hire someone to ruin your business. The manager seems to hire unprofessional and unskilled workers. Go somewhere else for a real spa experience where customers aren't shopping around. Paint jobs are awful here, it's like they pulled these girls from the streets. Just look at pictures people have posted and it's so obvious you will only waste your money. Nice concept but it's not for me... Pros: - Cute spot. The location is beautiful, there's a small high-end boutique in the entrance, and the pedicure area looks more like a spa than a traditional nail salon which makes for a fun change.- Most of their polishes, lotions, oils, and scrubs are natural/non toxic! You don't find this often so it was a really interesting upgrade from my usual routine. - We had a large bridal party coming in and they were accommodating for the most part. A few of us had to switch services last minute and they were understanding. They were also prompt via email when we were trying to organize our group party.Cons:- They don't use nail dryers... She said "Nails dry from the bottom layer up so fans don't actually help" and I thought... ok... I've never NOT used a dryer or blue light when I have 4 layers of polish on my nails but let's see how I do... Last coat was applied, I had a friend take my credit card out for me, I didn't touch anything as we walked down the street to the restaurant, after about 5 min I mindlessly put my hands in my jacket pocket and SH*T, nails ruined. I don't understand how we're expected to wander around with our hands in the air for 10 min after getting a mani here but it's nearly impossible and frankly ridiculous. At least get the fans so we can sit still for 5-10 min and not risk ruining our nails. - Prices are a lot higher than other salons nearby and the quality isn't as good.- There was a miscommunication on the phone; one of the manicurists asked me if another girl had gels on before coming in and I said "I'm not sure, probably not?" Like how would I know, they should have asked HER when she called 5 min before I did... well apparently she DID have gels on and the woman was really rude to her and made her feel embarrassed an unwelcome, and told her that I had said she "DEFINITELY didn't have any gels on... *eye roll*... *huffing, pouting, whining*" I am certain I didn't say definitely yes or no, I haven't seen most of these girls since high school and I can't keep track of the fingernails of 10 different random girls. So I'm sorry, but don't take it out on her - she said she would never come back here. - Another girl left her pedi with a cut on her toe, she won't be back. A third girl said her pedicurist was rude and made her feel uncomfortable. The only real perk was that the bride left happy with her gels intact. The majority of us were not so lucky and only 1 girl in our group said she would definitely come back... so... take it or leave it, but if you do come here make sure you can sit in the lobby without touching your phone or anything for a long time so your nails can properly dry. We had a wonderful experience at A La Mode. Our pedicures and manicures were with McKenna and Emmalyn, who both were very personable and professional. Everyone was very welcoming, and the spa was neat and clean. The prices were very reasonable, and I chose to upgrade to the vinalux polish, and am happy with my choice as my hands and feet still look as good as they did when I left the spa. We'll be back! I have been here twice I first saw Lesa and second visit I had Jillian. The space is nice, small, but cute decor. The pedicure nail sofas are not comfortable and the woman doing my nails looked to be uncomfortable as well. My first experience was much better than the second. I found my second nail tech to be rough and unprofessional. The prices are ok. Having to pay extra for massage and vinalux was disappointing as that's included in other places for the same price.  Bottom line is ok nail service and expect to be upsold. Read Less

They made an error during booking and booked only one of us, when the employee had confirmed it was for two people. My MIL drive an hour for the pedicure. Their customer service was poor. When I asked how they would rectify the situation, they offered to have only one person get a pedicure with 10% off. We left. Read Less

I decided to try A La Mode because they are chemical free but was very underwhelmed with the quality of the manicure. I tried the Vinylux nail polish based on the technician's recommendation. It is an extra $5, but is supposed to dry faster and be less prone to chipping. The technician bumped one of my nails while painting and quickly tried to cover it up, making the polish uneven. The two coats were also not enough because you can still see through it. I'm not a steady hand but I could have done a better job at home. Would not return. Read Less

Poor service. My husband planned a surprise for me which turned out to be a huge disappointment because of the treatment of the owner. The employees were nice but the owner was extremely rude and unprofessional, creating a poor and unpleasant experience. Read Less

Saw Lesa today for my first pedicure appt. The boutique is very cute and smells super fresh! Lisa offered me a drink right away and the manager Sara was super friendly. Will definitely come back again and the pedicure was pretty I only give it a four-star cuz I haven't had my manicure done there yet. Look for my final review to come! Read Less

Thanks to watching Twin Cities Live --they have provided me with plenty of MN tips.  One of them as the Luxury Pedi to de-winterize your feet, which was well needed after not being use to the dryness that comes from these frigid winter months (compared to what I'm use to, the moisture in the Cali air).  Once I entered, the aroma of this boutique was simply delicious.Once I sat for my pedi, I was asked whether I wanted water, coffee, or champagne...yes, champagne please for this Birthday Girl.  The pedi was definitely refreshing and moisturizing.  Elda, my nail technician, provided great conversation as we exchanged tips about traveling to SF and Chicago.  She also asked to check whether her pressure was sufficient as she massaged my feet and legs.  This will definitely be a place I visit when needing a bit of pampering.
