The new location is a lot nicer, has better lighting and they have a bunch of new polish colors. The downside to them moving and getting these new products is that they have raised their prices and seem to be trying to pinch every penny out of the customer. The second to the last time I went, I was quoted a price for a service, so when I went in again for said service, Mary told me a different price and stubbornly wouldn't budge, stating "that's what all the other nail salons around here charge." Ok, cool story Mary. If you're going to get your nails here, Dave always did my nails well.

Terrible! Once a great place, now met with confrontation and refusal to do "one more extra gel coat?!" Never in my life have I ever gone to a nail salon and have a nail tech say they couldn't do something. It's not like I was asking for something completely outlandish. Just a couple extra coats! My nails are thin.. so I had asked MARY to do thick coats if not, they'd break. Not to mention the color I picked out wasn't even the one I asked for.. didn't see a point in bringing it up as it was close.. she didn't do "thicker" coats as I had asked. Basically while sitting in her chair it felt like I was imposing on her time and she was doing me a huge favor. While there my nails began to peel. She redid them again. She was annoyed and twisting my fingers in ways that weren't natural. One day later my nails are chipping and peeling. I call to get them redone. I go in not so much as a HI nothing. I ask once again for thicker coats. She (Mary) begins to argue with me telling me it's inconvenient for them to take off thicker coats?! Are you kidding me? There are 2 others in the nail salon listening to her berate me and say to ask for a dif nail tech next time? She was furious and shaking. She didn't even fix them correctly. My hands got doused with rubbing alcohol which isn't normal when getting your gel set. She was loud, angry, letting me know they "only do three coats" in that salon all while letting other paying customers hear this. I didn't get a FREE service. I paid my hard earned money to keep my nails looking great! Most the time you ask and they do. Not in this case! I was told I would have to pay $5 more to receive an extra couple coats! You are out of your mind! I wasted my time coming out again to fix my nails that I just got done a day ago, I simply ask for a thicker coat and I'm made to be humiliated in front of other patrons? I will never EVER go back to this nail salon! If you appreciate your word being heard and any nail requests to be heard and completed, do NOT come to this place! They do what they want with your nails, especially Mary... Dave I will miss as he is great, but can sometimes get distracted and screw up your nails from time to time. Find a different place! Their service is subpar and you'll be rushed out the door because of fast work! People I know have already stopped going because of the constant mess ups that need to be fixed and often! Never again! In this picture the tops of my nails have a huge bump that can be felt. I'm sorry I paid for this service I'm even more sorry I tipped for horrible nails.

I went here for the first time last week to get a gel manicure. I picked out a pastel purple for my color and we got started. The nail technician was very friendly but unfortunately he didn't do a great job...First off, the color turned out much more pink than the purple I thought I was getting. The color wasn't applied evenly and the gel was clearly bumpy on 2 of my nails. I've now had the gel manicure for a week and it has gotten worse. The color is changing and with the color change, I can see plenty more bumps and an overall unevenness of the gel. Sadly, I won't be returning.

I think I just had someone who is in the rush but she didn't remove cuticles in the gel wasn't covering the whole nail but it was on skin in different places so within four days it started to peel and I don't think that she let it cure long enough so it's really soft. There was so much on the Tips that it was thicker than the rest of the nail and so when it would come off it's pulling the end of my nail off. They discoloured right away to and when I called they essentially said they guarantee it for five days but I didn't call soon enough. Most salons guarantee it for 14 days. It's going to be a while before my nails grow back out again they were pretty damaged

I never feel like I can't ask for something out of the ordinary because she can do it all! Today I came in because I'm going to a football game and wanted my team's colors with some designs - wonderful!! Took the time to make sure it looked good and that I was happy with it. You wont be disappointed if you come here!

I went in not really knowing exactly what I wanted. They didn't really help me figure it out just tell me I was wrong when I described what I wanted. I then found out the guy I started out with doesn't do gel or fake nails and I had to wait for Mary (who is actually SUPER nice). So already started off on a bad foot. Mary was able to do the design I wanted which was great, but the gel turned out really thick and not blended very well so it becomes EXTREMELY obvious they are fake which really sucks. I won't be coming back here.

Mary is the sweetest woman in the world. On my very first visit ever, I was tenacious after a bad experience at a different nail place in Savage. Mary answered all my questions about gel manicure removal nicely, and when I came in took extra time to take great care of me. Every time I call or come in to see her she recognizes me and asks me questions regarding my life and things she remembers. She is great at what she does, but also just a wonderful person to enjoy the company of. The facility is clean, functional, organized, and welcoming.

I went here to get an acrylic fill since the salon I usually go to couldn't get me in. What a complete waste of money! My nails look terrible and will now have to pay more money to have someone else fix them. The guy that did them seemed like he was in a hurry and just wanted to get out of there. Nothing seemed to be sanitary, he'd use the drill bits and then just stick it back in the container without soaking/sanitizing them. On top of it he sliced my skin under my nail which was bleeding! I'm nervous for infection because they didn't seem to follow rules and regulations that are put in place for these types of places. Do not waste you time here, it's disgusting!

Stay away from this place. I have been here several times in the past, but this place has gone down hill!! First the water was freezing cold. It is winter I was hoping for a warm pedicure. They had to empty tub and start over with warm water. They have 4 pedicures. Did not bother to ask which one I wanted and did basic. Before I knew it they were done and painting color. Too late to upgrade!! I was planning on manicure and pedicure. When done with feet didn't even ask about nails and put me in uncomfortable chair and dryer. Left to go someplace else that wanted my nail business.

The salon was clean and actually didn't smell as harshly of chemicals as others. I walked in and was treated right away. I'd stop in again.

When I'm home, I go about every two weeks just to get them changed. Everyone there is AMAZING! I've been going for about five years now. Wouldn't go anywhere else :)

I am a very busy and high maintenance person. I'm always rushing and have very little time to stop, but somehow Mary and the team at exotic nails find a way to accommodate me. Mary not only accommodates me, but she treats me like a friend and family member. When I am there she makes me slow down and enjoy my brief break, and brief it is because they do everything to get me in and out while providing the utmost in customer service. My only reservation about recommending this place is the possibility of it getting too busy for me to maintain my flexible appointments (I am being tongue and cheek with my last comment).

The selfish side of my was not going to post anything because I feel Exotic Nails is a hidden gem but I had to share because the ladies here are so lovely. I love this place! My sister and I randomly found Exotic Nails after being snubbed by a different salon near by. We were frustrated but quickly learned it was a blessing in disguise! We called, got in right away, and loved our time. Gel mani/reg pedi for $50...amazing for the Minnneapolis area! I also learned from going back to have another gel mani that they leave on a thin layer rather than grinding all the way down to the nail, which always ruined mine in the past. Their technique has helped my nails grow longer and stronger quickly. But none of this is truly why I l-o-v-e this place. It's the customer service. Sheila and Alex are my favorites but friends have worked with others and all have been satisfied. Recently, I didn't love the color on my nails, it was very transparent. I called, Sheila got me in the next day and fixed it for me free of charge. She was extremely grateful I called and expressed my feelings. She was nothing but kind and helpful.Communication, service, and atmosphere is wonderful. How someone has had a bad experience is hard to beleive, but to each their own!

Visiting from out of town, this was the worst pedicure I've ever had. My feet were very damaged from the tools and techniques used. I've had open cracks despite twice daily moisturizing treatments and painful bleeding. I would not recommend this place and I would suggest that the health department evaluate what is going on there.

This was the worst manicure of my life. First of all, the nail artist was very rough and my nails hurt for days. Also she had a cut on her finger and did not put a bandaid on! For standard cleanliness and health, this is not ok. Also they charged an extra $5 to trim my cuticles. I thought this was the most basic part of "getting my nails done". I won't visit again.

So I just went this past memorial day and it wasn't busy at all so I thought oh this will be great! The atmosphere was perfect. I got a pedicure and full set.First, my pedicure chair, massage, and customer friendliness was fantastic. Although, when my french tip was done it looked super sloppy and I would have done better myself to be honest.My full set was horrible. My cuticles bled which never happened before and the shape wasn't smoothed out enough. The tips were all also cricked. My nails are actually already coming apart too. I had to file as much as I could at home.

If you aren't coming here you are paying too much and probably having less fun doing it.Sure there are elongated elaborate rituals that are drawn out for more money at pricier salons, but this is BAR NONE one of the cleanest, friendliest, most polished (no pun) nail-oriented businesses I've ever been in. Cleaner than my house.Staff is SUPER nice and very good.Oh, also a great place for a very no-nonsense brow-lip wax at rates that make sense.

I have been numerous times and have been really happy with the service. I like that I can usually get in same day when I call. I usually get a gel pedicure and it always turns out nicely and lasts a long time.

I went here for the first time last week to get a gel manicure. I picked out a pastel purple for my color and we got started. The nail technician was very friendly but unfortunately he didn't do a great job...First off, the color turned out much more pink than the purple I thought I was getting. The color wasn't applied evenly and the gel was clearly bumpy on 2 of my nails. I've now had the gel manicure for a week and it has gotten worse. The color is changing and with the color change, I can see plenty more bumps and an overall unevenness of the gel. Sadly, I won't be returning.

I think I just had someone who is in the rush but she didn't remove cuticles in the gel wasn't covering the whole nail but it was on skin in different places so within four days it started to peel and I don't think that she let it cure long enough so it's really soft. There was so much on the Tips that it was thicker than the rest of the nail and so when it would come off it's pulling the end of my nail off. They discoloured right away to and when I called they essentially said they guarantee it for five days but I didn't call soon enough. Most salons guarantee it for 14 days. It's going to be a while before my nails grow back out again they were pretty damaged

Today I came in because I'm going to a football game and wanted my team's colors with some designs - wonderful!! Took the time to make sure it looked good and that I was happy with it. I went in not really knowing exactly what I wanted. They didn't really help me figure it out just tell me I was wrong when I described what I wanted. I then found out the guy I started out with doesn't do gel or fake nails and I had to wait for Mary (who is actually SUPER nice). So already started off on a bad foot. Mary was able to do the design I wanted which was great, but the gel turned out really thick and not blended very well so it becomes EXTREMELY obvious they are fake which really sucks. I won't be coming back here.

Mary is the sweetest woman in the world. On my very first visit ever, I was tenacious after a bad experience at a different nail place in Savage. Mary answered all my questions about gel manicure removal nicely, and when I came in took extra time to take great care of me. Every time I call or come in to see her she recognizes me and asks me questions regarding my life and things she remembers. She is great at what she does, but also just a wonderful person to enjoy the company of. The facility is clean, functional, organized, and welcoming.

I went here to get an acrylic fill since the salon I usually go to couldn't get me in. What a complete waste of money! My nails look terrible and will now have to pay more money to have someone else fix them. The guy that did them seemed like he was in a hurry and just wanted to get out of there. Nothing seemed to be sanitary, he'd use the drill bits and then just stick it back in the container without soaking/sanitizing them. On top of it he sliced my skin under my nail which was bleeding! I'm nervous for infection because they didn't seem to follow rules and regulations that are put in place for these types of places. Do not waste you time here, it's disgusting!

Stay away from this place. I have been here several times in the past, but this place has gone down hill!! First the water was freezing cold. It is winter I was hoping for a warm pedicure. They had to empty tub and start over with warm water. They have 4 pedicures. Did not bother to ask which one I wanted and did basic. Before I knew it they were done and painting color. Too late to upgrade!! I was planning on manicure and pedicure. When done with feet didn't even ask about nails and put me in uncomfortable chair and dryer. Left to go someplace else that wanted my nail business.

The salon was clean and actually didn't smell as harshly of chemicals as others. I walked in and was treated right away. I'd stop in again.

I am a very busy and high maintenance person. I'm always rushing and have very little time to stop, but somehow Mary and the team at exotic nails find a way to accommodate me. Mary not only accommodates me, but she treats me like a friend and family member. When I am there she makes me slow down and enjoy my brief break, and brief it is because they do everything to get me in and out while providing the utmost in customer service. My only reservation about recommending this place is the possibility of it getting too busy for me to maintain my flexible appointments (I am being tongue and cheek with my last comment).

The selfish side of my was not going to post anything because I feel Exotic Nails is a hidden gem but I had to share because the ladies here are so lovely. I love this place! My sister and I randomly found Exotic Nails after being snubbed by a different salon near by. We were frustrated but quickly learned it was a blessing in disguise! We called, got in right away, and loved our time. Gel mani/reg pedi for $50...amazing for the Minnneapolis area! I also learned from going back to have another gel mani that they leave on a thin layer rather than grinding all the way down to the nail, which always ruined mine in the past. Their technique has helped my nails grow longer and stronger quickly. But none of this is truly why I l-o-v-e this place. It's the customer service. Sheila and Alex are my favorites but friends have worked with others and all have been satisfied. Recently, I didn't love the color on my nails, it was very transparent. I called, Sheila got me in the next day and fixed it for me free of charge. She was extremely grateful I called and expressed my feelings. She was nothing but kind and helpful.Communication, service, and atmosphere is wonderful. How someone has had a bad experience is hard to beleive, but to each their own!

I've had open cracks despite twice daily moisturizing treatments and painful bleeding. I would not recommend this place and I would suggest that the health department evaluate what is going on there.

Although, when my french tip was done it looked super sloppy and I would have done better myself to be honest.My full set was horrible. My cuticles bled which never happened before and the shape wasn't smoothed out enough. The tips were all also cricked. My nails are actually already coming apart too. I had to file as much as I could at home.
