I went on as a walk in and got in rught away. Both of the nail technician were very nice and they got my mani and pedi done quickly. I got the gel polish, that was the only thing I didn't like because it didn't last a week on my fingernails and it had a rubbery feel to it. If I go back I'll just do normal polish. Read Less

Have never had a problem with acrylic nails before, I get them frequently. My regular salon was booked so I decided to try a new place to get some festive holiday nails. First time at this place and after 4 days I have 3 broken nails. One of my nails was cracked before the acrylic even went on but he said it would be fine. Didn't last 6 hours!! Cut my fingers twice and made me bleed. Got regular polish and he put on one coat of color, AND NO TOP COAT! I was floored. I questioned it and he said it doesn't need it. Ugh. Not a terrible experience, but I'll definitely find somewhere else next time. Sign says walk ins welcome, so I went in for acrylics. Expected to have to wait a bit being a walk in, but I sat there for over an hour while walk ins who came in after me were taken first. My nails are uneven (acrylic thickness and length) and I got 2 small cuts on my fingers because the guy jerked my hand around and was super quick and rough with the files. They also wouldn't take my debit card (even though I could see the card reader on the counter) and asked me to go get cash. I refused but they insisted. I have never been to this salon before but it being a Sunday and my salon was closed I thought I'd try it out. The guy there was nice at first. I told him that I just wanted my nails taken off he suggested I go home and bite them off myself because he didn't want to risk breaking my real nails and blame him if they broke. I told him that's what I was paying him "professionally" to do. He then told me to behave and listen that is when I removed myself from the shop. I went with my 2 little girls for pedicures and they gals who took care of them were really great. They have kid chairs too which are super cute. The guy doing my feet did bring out what I call "the cheese grater" which are so bad for your feet and I know more people who have had problems from those then not. He was respectful of my wish. I wasn't very happy that they didn't want to take my debit card to pay. I get it, sure they pay Point of Sale fees but it was really inconvenient for me to go to the Wells Fargo down the street then come back to pay. Read Less

I have been all over the Twin Cities and Central Minnesota to get Mani and Pedis without much luck even if I pay $100. I made an appt at Eluxe and showed up on time. They got me in immediately and were kind and gracious. My mani was with a man whose name started with 'P.' He did a very thorough mani with exfoliant, lotion, hot stones and a great massage. It was obvious he knew foot pressure points. My toes were clipped, filed and painted meticulously after he put toe spreaders and flip flops on me so I could walk over to the pedi station. Rosa did a beautiful job on my gel finget nails including a massage and lotion. She was gentle, experienced and professional. Before I left she checked my toes and knew they would smudge once I put socks and shoes on in Dec. She put a solution on them with a cellphane wrap before she put my socks and shoes on. So helpful and professional....I watched another staff do a set of French tips that were beautiful during my mani.If you had a bad experience here in the past, I would go again now. I have nothing but praise for them..On my way out the owner came into the shop very cheery and nice thanking me for my business and wishing me a happy holidays.  I will be back.And I went back. Sadly not a good experience. I live in AZ, not MN, and every year we come here I have to have fills done. Unfortunately I have never found anyone very good just by walking in. So this year I took the time to research and look up reviews and called and made an appt with Han at Eluxe Nails. My appt was for 1:00, I walked in at exactly 1:00 and he was just starting on another lady! He took another 45 minutes just to finish her hands and never apologized! Then I honestly think he doesn't have a clue what he's doing because when he was applying the gel polish he kept putting coat after coat after coat and then using a nail file over the polish and reapplying polish. What a fabulous first experience. I have had my toes done a half dozen times, but none were as comfortable as here. They don't push you to buy additional services. They'll ask one and done. The basic nail art is complimentary and I would have to say a pleasant "add on" that j couldn't do myself at home. The TVs weren't obnoxious. The MASSAGE CHAIRS WERE FAB AND COMFORTABLE. Came in for a gel mani and I will not be back. They were very nice but my nail tech totally rushed it and my nails look bad. He missed noticeable spots of my nail and when I pointed it out to him he told me it's because i made him cut my nails too short and because of that the color moves. Um. What? What does that even mean? I've had my nails done plenty of times and I've literally never heard this excuse. My worst manicure ever. Literally. The guy talked over me the entire time when I was telling him that I'm trying to protect my nails. He sanded down my nails so thin from the top and bottom and completely ruined them! He didn't even do my cuticles and the gel color was touching my skin at several parts and was patchy in others. The guy does not have good technique and didn't listen to me. I tried several times to explain what I wanted and he didn't try to understand. Definitely the best nail place in the area. The shop is very clean and professional, and everyone is very friendly and makes sure you feel comfortable. They have a good polish color selection, and they do a good job with the painting. My only tip is to try to make an appointment, or stop by and ask for a good time to come in because they can get pretty busy.
