I received a gel manicure at Royal Nails recently. The service started off fine. Once another client came in, the technicians was in a hurry i was very disatified by the polish job. The technicians painted quite a bit off the nail and would not take the paint off with Acetone and a paint brush. I have never had my nails painted this poorly. I shared this concern with the technician and she said the excess paint will come off when I wash my hands. I will never visit this nail salon again. Read Less

Wow, very disappointing. Got a gel manicure and eight days later six nails were over halfway chipped. Went back to get my gel removed and was asked to pay $10. The worker told me my outgrowth (minimal) looked to be 2-3 weeks-- actually only 8 days. Will not be going back or recommending to anyone in the area. Read Less

The sign says 20 for gel fill. I asked three times before we started that it would be 20 for the fill and 5 for the French tip she says yes all three times... We get done and at the counter and she hits me with a total of 40.... ummm. No you said 25 she changed up the prices on me which is bs. This is was my second visit here! The last time I didn't make an appt, and it was busy, but they still got me in for a pedicure relatively quickly. I called yesterday and made a morning appointment for today. Today I had the deluxe pedicure and gel nail manicure.  My nail tech did an amazing job. She was very friendly and my nails look SO GOOD! Visiting from out of town, my sister recommended this place. I was lucky enough to grab a last minute walk in spot with Rose. She rescued me from my half chipped gel manicure, with speedy and efficient and even helped me with a rogue thumbnail that was jagged and broken by using a little acrylic nail powder.The manicure itself was quick, professional, and excellent. I come here all the time and love the staff! They try really hard to accommodate all the walk-ins (and there a lot of them whenever I'm in the shop) as well as take scheduled appointments. I go more than 15 miles one way out of my way to come here! I've used many nail salons over the years and this is the best in my book! I'd recommend them in a heartbeat!! Read Less

They wouldn't let my husband and I sit next to each other to get manicures...we had our newborn baby with us so it was important to me that we sit together. They later said that they would have to sit me alone and that my husband would be tended to in "three minutes", 10 minutes later, he was still sitting and waiting for assistance. I told her hat I did not want to continue with the manicure and that I would pay for what she did (soak and trimmed cuticles off of one hand)...she took my card and charged me full price for the manicure. I told her this was unacceptable as she had not completed the service. She told me it was not her fault...I Demanded a refund...she told me she didn't know how to issue a refund...she then called the owner and the owner spoke with me on the phone saying she would make an exception and refund me. The woman doing my nails was on her phone the entire time. She got lots of nail Polish random places on my fingers nowhere near the nail and clipped it off. She frequently cut too deep and did not listen when I asked her to stop (likely because she was on the phone) the "massage" at the end was extremely painful, she used her nails to dig into my skin and left red marks which are still present now (about 10 minutes later) as well as had many rings on. She used one hand only for everything, or had the phone held to her ear and only could use one hand effectively. It was an awful experience and I will never go back here. Read Less

Great experience all around!  I'm traveling for work and this nail salon is near my hotel.  It was an easy walk and they were able to fit my mani/pedi in right away.  Both services were done well and I'm happy with the results! If I loved around here, I'd definitely come back! Read Less

I received a gel manicure here for the first time. I ended up waiting around 2 hours on a Saturday without an appointment. I do understand that it gets busy on weekend days, but what I was not impressed by is that we were told to come back in half an hour after our first time arriving, and then still ended up waiting around 2 hours more in the salon once we came back. I would've preferred we been told either a correct time estimate to come back, or that there weren't any openings that day. The manicure was not good, the cuticle cutting was quite painful compared to other manicures I've received and my nails are not symmetrical or all the same length. Additionally, the polish on the samples doesn't match the actual color once it's on your nails. Overall, not the worst manicure I could have received but I certainly wouldn't recommend it and won't be going back. Read Less

Pedicure was badI redid the Pedicure at home afterwards because my heels still looked rough and the paint was not coving the entire nail on half of them The woman at the end grabbed my purse without asking from my lap and put it on the ground next to drying area....Gross! Today was my first visit to Royal Nails.  This is definitely going to be my new go-to.  The staff was really friendly and the pedicure I received was great.  I did the $35 pedicure (there was a small extra charge on top to remove the gel polish I had on - it took a lot of effort, so I felt it was very fair).  A couple regulars came in while I was there and you could tell they really liked their technicians.  "Kim" was my gal and I will ask for her when I make an appointment in the future. I was able to get my royal pedi ($45) which includes hot towel and hot stone massage right away.  No pressure for manicure.  Chairs are in working condition and I was pleased with my pedi.  My one complaint is I feel like the nail polish choice could be a little bigger. Read Less

I walked in this place first time. I got a pedicure. The people who worked hear were very nice.  The only thing was the guy who did my pedicure, he cut my toes. When the guy cut my toes he did not cut my nails but ripped off a some of of my big toe nail. It hurt even after. I said it hurts," he said," I cut in grown toe nail". Ask before you do that next time. My toe hurt day after.  I am never going back. I just moved to MN and was looking for a new salon, because I loved my old one! Royal Nails reminds me of the one I left back in MA. Good quality, relatively cheap price, good service. I get a pedi and a gel manicure costs $55. Very friendly. It's close to work, however my work location is moving in the next couple of months. I haven't had a pedi in a LONG TIME because my foot has been in a boot forever from an injury last winter. I actually felt guilty going in because while I keep my nails nice and trimmed, I know they are a train wreck!I decided to give Royal Nails a shot because I needed to do some shopping at Target across the street and there was a Starbucks a few doors down (judge me if you want, but sipping an iced tea while getting my pedi was pretty delightful). I was a little nervous based on the mixed reviews on Yelp but honestly, I am pretty happy with my pedicure. I got seated right away and the lady doing my toes was very friendly but didn't talk too much, which I appreciated. I chose the middle pedicure package which including a really nice foot/leg scrub and a clay treatment with hot towels. It was pretty fabulous and it was nice to feel pampered especially while relaxing in their new massage chairs. The price was fair at $35 and they accept credit cards which is an added bonus. I like the color because it's perfect for summer and I was in and out within 40 minutes. I can't speak to what their manicures are like but I will definitely come back for a pedicure! Read Less

Was able to walk in without an appointment and be seated at a manicure table within 10 minutes.  My technician was quiet and efficient, which suited me well.  I wasn't feeling like conversing.  She gave me a French tip gel manicure that looked very nice!  I was pleased with the service and treatment I received.  Prices were in line with what I've paid for this elsewhere.  Will definitely return if I'm in the neighborhood and in need of a mani or pedi again. I've been here a couple of times to get gel manicures which have only been okay.  They are the only location open on Sundays nearby.  I will not be going back.  I called to make an appointment last Sunday only to be made to wait 45 minutes in a chair while my gel polish was "soaking off."  After 45 minutes I walked out.  Never again. New place close to home. Decided to splurge on a pamper treat after rough holiday. Took 11 year old daughter who decided on French manicure instead of pedicure upon are arrival. The woman working with child would not accept that we decided manicure INSTEAD of pedi... must have asked 12 times if she wanted pedi too- then there would be discount. "One service NO discount." REALLY SPOILED ATTEMPT TO RELAX!! Woman who did my mani-pedi had limited English and was difficult to communicate. Service was OK. Next time I will stay home and let 11 yr old paint my nails. This place was super clean inside and I love that everything looked brand new.Staff was friendly and spoke enough English so I could get that I want, which was perfect. They did an excellent job with my nails, even after I almost kicked her in the face because I'm so ticklish. This was my first time at Royal nails and probably my last. It started out really good by me calling to see if I could be seen right away and the owner said yes. I had no wait. The owner who was the only manicurist did my nails. She was sloppy with the polish and burned me with the Dremel several times. She also scolded me for wanting my nails short and explained that it is very difficult. I wear my nails short and have never had a problem with anyone doing them in the last 5 years that I have had my nails done by a manicurist. Will not return.  I could have painted my nails better myself.  Honestly have more gel polish on my skin than nails.  The lady there did not understand or speak much  English so it was very difficult to communicate what I wanted.  There we no one else in the store.  Small gel color selection.
