I have visited a few of the nail salons in the Farmington Hills area, but Nailistix is my new favorite! They do take walk-ins, but I would HIGHLY recommend making an appointment. They are constantly busy, the phone rings every 5 minutes, and there always seems to be a 45 min-1 hr wait for walk-ins. They also book up quickly, so make sure to call a week or even 2 weeks ahead if you really want a particular day/time. Also, they only take CASH TIP.Linda and King are the owners, and they are super nice and funny! Linda and Pai have done my nails, and they are both great. My shellac manicure lasts for almost an entire month without any chips or breaks. I have never had that kind of success with other salons. $30 for shellac mani, pretty typical. Nailistix is my go-to nail salon. I love it here! I've never had a bad technician. The whole staff is very nice! and the owner Linda is also very sweet. By far my favorite nail salon. I live in Detroit, but will gladly make this drive for nail treatments.When you first walk-in, it may seem a bit overwhelming. The facility is much larger than you would think and they are always busy. But they are busy because people know they do a good job! I can sport my shellac well over 2 weeks with zero lifting and minor chipping (and I have oily nail beds so I feel like mine always lift)Everything is clean and they have a great section of colors and the staff members are attentive and efficient.  Also the costs are reasonable!Win-Win-Win all around! Brightly lit and welcoming in a sunny fall day, the place was packed but they Took me in as a walk in. Massage chairs and foot spas a bit beaten up and the towels rather worn, but everything clean and disinfected. I got Sofia (Phuong) did both my regular pedi as well as my gel mani. She was polite, professional and wonderfully meticulous w her work. We chatted but she was never intrusive and she as well as the other staffers were more than happy to help find colors as well as alternatives when I was indecisive. I'm from D.C. So prices were lower than what I usually pay. I shell out about $75 for my reg pedi + gel mani, at Nailstix I paid $48. Tips not included, but was more than happy to give Sofia 20%, cash for tips, please. Would return next time we're in Michigan and recommend. Read Less

I have been getting my nails done for years!!! When I got married 5 years ago and moved to west Bloomfield I needed to find a nail salon close by... I literally stumbled upon them and am so grateful I did!!! The owners- Linda and King are so sweet and inviting! My girls Vanna and Mimi will blow your mind with the artwork they can free hand on your nails.It is very clean! And everyone speaks English! I have been to too many salons where people were speaking in foreign languages and you never know what they are saying!! I highly recommend making an appointment as they are ALWAYS busy! Are used to always go here because it was convenient since it is by my home. However, when ever I would get my shellac or gel manicure, they would always leave so much space between my cuticle and the nail polish that it looks like I needed to fill in two days after I got my nails done. My first time going to Nailistix was today and I am positive I found the nail salon I've been looking for. They are all friendly and you can tell they are a team and work together to get the clients taken care of. The place was filled with regulars and was very busy. Your best bet is to make an appointment. Although I walked in and got taken care of right away, next time I will make an appointment so I don't chance it. I went here expecting great service and the woman who did my pedicure was horribly rude! I go to a pedicure after working long days to get some relaxation. When I  sat down she basically yelled at me, barked at me that I needed to remove my nail polish every 4 weeks, and then when I asked her to cut my nails shorter, also yelled at me that she couldn't. I wanted them square but decided talking to her after that would be a waste of my energy so she did whatever she wanted. She could simply have told me she couldn't cut them shorter. This was the gist of the whole visit so I just chose to interact with her as little as possible. At the end she said go sit under the dryers and didnt tell me where they were - just proceeded to get on her phone about some issue about people squatting in a house she owned. If she was having a bad day, fine, but it's not the place to take it out on a customer. This woman was rude, and even rude to my 2 nieces who came (they were the ones who commented how 'mean' she was as they were sitting waiting for their manicures sitting next to me). The other nail tech I met there seemed very nice (who did my nieces' nails) but this woman ruined the experience. I will NEVER go back there. I hope management reads this and reprimands this woman; she should NOT be interacting with customers again.Also, the place is a toxic factory - the fumes are HORRIBLE. I went to this place because of all the great reviews and I was getting my nails done for my sisters wedding.  Get my nails done regularly so I know what to expect.  Unfortunately I didn't have a great experience, it felt very rush, little attention paid to proper cuticle removal.  My manicurist cut off part of my nail thinking it was my cuticle and started bleeding!  Just not a good experience, don't recommend this place. My friend and I were in the area and we decided to get our nails done. I checked my good friend Yelp and discovered this one that has glowing reviews. I have to say that this place lives up to my expectations. We arrived in late afternoon and they were able to fit us in around the other appointments, which we were pleasantly surprised that we didn't have to wait. I honestly don't think this is normal,  but some days luck is on my side! I did a pedi and mani with shellac and the price point was 55 dollars. Since I don't get my nails done that often I'm not sure if that's competitive for shellac or not. I know regular mani/pedi is mid 40s for most places. So I found the price acceptable.Everything was clean and well maintained. Neither of us got knicked or cut in any way. The whole experience was very comfortable. The people working there interact with you and it feels a lot like hanging out with friends. I can't wait to go back - I'm already planning my next nail look. Read Less

I have been there many times.  Almost always disappointed.  If you have a cracked nail and need a little acrylic or gel, almost no one there does it.  A nail place that can't fix a nail?  It's nice inside, people are nice, as long as your Nails don't need any fixing.  Not happy many times there, sorry. This place is AWESOME! I walked in early this morning and was shocked by the number of people already in the salon. Every single person (except my nail technician who graciously accepted a walk-in) was booked up! If that doesn't already tell you how in demand this place is.... I don't know what will. The staff is very courteous and friendly and will always attempt to squeeze you in or fulfill your requests. I observed how most of the patrons knew everyone working there or would ask where so and so was... you can tell the people working here are genuinely interested in their clients and vice versa. It's nice to see that level of hospitality, so to speak. I also want to comment on their selection of polish - fabulous for regular mani/pedis - ie. essie, opi and versatile selection for gel nail polish (3-5 different brands including opi, gellish, essie). The only thing I would suggest is if you're into designs to call ahead and book an appointment in advance since not everyone can do those.But otherwise, my new go to salon! Five stars!!! My friend and I happened upon Nailistix one day after work after another nail place we attempted to go to was sorely understaffed and had a long wait. We called Nailistix to see what their wait time was and it was a reasonable amount of time (10 mins). When we got there only about 5 mins later, they had the two pedi bowls waiting and ready for us. To top it off, the gentlemen providing the pedis were great. Very friendly and had great advice about local restaurants! My friend and I truly enjoyed our time here. To top it off, my friend left her credit card by accident. When she called to ask about it, they had told her they had been trying to locate her.
