I took my 14 year old daughter and her friend to get their nails done for the 1st time today. I asked when I walked in how much would a full set of acrylics cost. They told me $28. There were 4 people...
I took my 14 year old daughter and her friend to get their nails done for the 1st time today. I asked when I walked in how much would a full set of acrylics cost. They told me $28. There were 4 people who worked there and they all said $28. My daughter and her friend both sat down and the nail techs started on their nails. I walked down to the thift shop a store away for 15 minutes at the most. I walked back in the nail salon and my daughter had the nails on but no polish yet. The nail tech said I could sit by my daughter. She preceded to polish my daughter's nails. When she was done I got up to pay. She then tells me its $45 . I asked why, she said I put Shellac on her nails. I asked her did you ask my daughter. She said yes I asked your daughter. My daughter said she was never asked. And even if she was she has no clue what Shellac is and that it costs an extra $17. I, never having my nails done don't know what shellac is or what it looks like to have it put on so I wouldn't know if she was using it or not. It really upsets me that my daughter was taken advantage of like that. She's a minor and they totally added on services to jack the price up. And they never asked me if they could put shellac on my daughter's nails. They should be ashamed of themselves. They took money from a 14 year old, it was her birthday money. Also they charged my daughter's friend $34 instead of $28. Do they just make these prices up as they go along? They turned something that should be special, a girl's beauty day out ,into a money maker for them. They are dishonest and greedy. I will never never go back there again. I will also tell my over 1,000 Facebook friends never to go there also.

I had long nails when I came in, just wanted a trim and file like normal, she cut my nails as short as possible, used a used file, and proceeded to file the tips of my fingers. It looks horrible and uneven, there are spures everywhere scratches all over my nails, and now I have to go home and try to fix them. Let a 3 year old do it, they will do a better job, and you won't get nail fungus from used never disinfected tools.

Very clean, great looking nails and pedi. Very pleasant people working there. Would recommend. Takes walk in's also. Good hours even on Sunday in case you work on the other days.

Very clean establishment and really nice staff. I was a walk in, didn't have an appointment and i was immediately sat down and taken care of. Although it was off to a good start, I asked to soak off my current acrylics she insisted on not doing that. So she took them off her way, when i put new acrylics on the color was exactly what i wanted but the shape is far from it. I asked for super sharp square and i kept telling her it was wrong and i wanted it more square and after a while she told me this was the best she could do. Frustrated because i paid $50 for a take off and full set and although the color is what i wanted, the shape is so far off it really ruined them for me. I will try here again because of how nice everything was, but just frustrated my wishes we're kind of shrugged off.

This place used to be an older salon it seems to have new owners and she did an amazing job her name is Jenny she knew exactly what I wanted she soaked off my old acrylics when I asked her to without even hesitating she was very patient I would recommend the salon again I now have a new salon that I will be going to on the regular this place is very clean they use tub liners for their pedicures she did a great wax all around five stars I recommend this place

Ever since Nancy has not been there this place is gone down hill and up in charges. Different staff everytime you go in, and in no offense at all, the people seem like they just arrived in America with a language barrier it's next to impossible for anyone to understand what they're having done or what your expecting to get...Nancy we all miss you very much and we hope you will be able to return very soon until then I'll have to find somewhere else to take my business. I'm a small business owner too and love hearing my own feedback regarding my staff.

As far as them "pointing and laughing at their clientele" I think maybe she is just paranoid. They might speak a different language but they aren't stupid and I'm sure they know how obvious that would be. They are all very kind hard workers and they consistently do a great job.

I have my nails done frequently, and consider myself to be picky. These folks were referred to me by a friend who is extremely conscientious of her nails and outward appearance. I found the staff to be very friendly, considerate and their prices to be extremely competitive. I'm thrilled that I found them. I just read the other reviews and was surprised to hear what they had to say. I noticed the dates on them and have determined that they may have had some issues in the past, they have certainly turned those issues around, because I am seeing exactly the opposite. In fact my only not complete but issue is I thought it took some time to complete my appointment. But I wasn't about to complain because of the quality was so good which obviously can take time. The fact that they all use Americanized names, is sad in a way. I wish we could pronounce they're given names. But it shows their consciousness to make their customers more comfortable. I don't hear them using their first language of Vietnamese often. However if I worked with a group of Americans in a foreign country I'm sure I would speak American around the clientele as well. I am in sales as a profession, so reviews and sharing experiences is important to me. I hope this is been helpful to you

I told myself I would not go back but of course I had a gift card for a mini-pedi so I went BIG MISTAKE. I was there for 2 hours and 15 minutes for a mini-pedi had the gel nail polish no fake nails no nail art that's it I was charged 70 dollars. I could of had fake nails a pedi and gel nail polish along with a tip and probably got done sooner. So before you decide to go here make sure you have alot of time and make them give you a price before they start. I will never go back.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I used to go all the time and I was never really a big fan of the place, it was just close to home. The last time I went I had terrible service and have never been back since. The lady rushed the entire time and did a terrible job. She took my old set off when it wasn't ready to be taken off. It was only 2 weeks old and I had no nails lifting. She used a new nail tip to file them all off...most painful thing I have experienced. Getting your nails done is supposed to be fun and relaxing. The whole time you are there they don't speak English which makes you feel very uncomfortable. Every time you go they change the price and it's always more! I got an acrylic set with shellac and they charge $60!!! I went somewhere else and got them done fabulously for $30 for the same service. They make a big deal if you use a credit card and claim they will give you a discount if you use cash. I tried this once and there was no difference. I have been much happier going elsewhere. My mom and sister used to go here as well and no longer do due to the terrible service and ridiculous prices. If you are looking for a good place to get your nails done this is not it!!!!! BIGGEST RIP OFF EVER!!!!

The place is Clean and the staff are friendly...But, I like one person only to do my nails. Usually, when I go, One person will take my old polish off and start to do my fill...then another person will take over the buffing then again a 3rd person will apply the polish and top coat. My question is : how are they splitting the Tip? Even though I always tip...I never feel like it when 2-3 people are doing my nails.

This review only pertains to pedicures because its the only service I've had here. In my opinion, this place is a lot cleaner than your average oriental run nail salon. Plus, they make an effort to decorate the place and it looks decent.They just got new pedicure chairs, which are wonderful. They massage and they have cup holders attached if you'd like to bring something with you to drink.Some of the girls here can do hand painted nail art that's really nice. One time I came in and had a peace sign painted on my big toes. Otherwise they usually do flower designs.I've never had waxing services here, but they have a few private rooms off to the side for this purpose that look comfortable and clean.

I went to nail topia for awhile and decided to try new places. Last minute I wanted to get my nails done so I called to find out how much it would be for a set I was told 25 got there and they charged me 30 instead unsatisfied I didn't leave a tip a day or so later my nails started cracking on every finger from where they glued the nail before the powder so I called after the first one did it and continued on with my day satisfied that they said they would fix it for no charge as my day continues more started to crack I will never go back to nail topia they are a complete rip off I can go to nail trust on Dixie hwy in Waterford and pay 25 dollars for a much better service where they charge 25 for the colored sparkly nails while nail topia charges 15 dollars more along with their shellac nail trust charges 15 nail topia charges 30 and for white tip set nail topia charges 30 while nail trust charges 25 . Nail topia has horrible costumer service and really don't care about their customers it's only about the money to them.

Everyone here for the most part is nice and does an average job. I've never had to wait very long and if I had an appointment, I get right in. I used to go here faithfully for quite some time.. The owner has her kids working there - a girl and a boy, both high school age.. When I have an appointment with someone, I want my entire service done by that one person.. Is that too much to ask? I don't appreciate being passed onto her children. I understand they get busy and everyone is trying to help, but I don't like it. I wonder if they are even qualified to assist with services?? The actual fill part has always been done by an adult, but as far as polishing or an entire pedicure, I've been passed on to the kids. I understand I should speak up, but I feel it should be understood I'm there for an appointment with YOU not everyone! ALSO---They make a big deal if you pay by credit card. They prefer cash. Then they go on and on and on and on about all the fees the banks charge for credit cards!!! I understand there are merchant expenses and associated with credit cards, but isn't this part of doing business? Give me a discount for paying by cash, lol!! The service here is OK, but I probably won't be back..

I went here because a customer of mines nails were nice, and she said she went here. I'm am completely hating my experience. The lady that dId my nails had an attitude. I got gel nails and my eye brows waxed. My nails look like crap, the worse they've ever looked when I've gotten my nails done. It has only been 5 days since they have been done and the top coat is fading, and the edges lifting. My eye brows and the bridge of my nose broke out with blisters and pimples from the wax. I will not be going back.

I took my 14 year old daughter and her friend to get their nails done for the 1st time today. I asked when I walked in how much would a full set of acrylics cost. They told me $28. I had long nails when I came in, just wanted a trim and file like normal, she cut my nails as short as possible, used a used file, and proceeded to file the tips of my fingers. It looks horrible and uneven, there are spures everywhere scratches all over my nails, and now I have to go home and try to fix them. Very clean establishment and really nice staff. I was a walk in, didn't have an appointment and i was immediately sat down and taken care of. Although it was off to a good start, I asked to soak off my current acrylics she insisted on not doing that. So she took them off her way, when i put new acrylics on the color was exactly what i wanted but the shape is far from it. I asked for super sharp square and i kept telling her it was wrong and i wanted it more square and after a while she told me this was the best she could do. Frustrated because i paid $50 for a take off and full set and although the color is what i wanted, the shape is so far off it really ruined them for me. I will try here again because of how nice everything was, but just frustrated my wishes we're kind of shrugged off.

Ever since Nancy has not been there this place is gone down hill and up in charges. Different staff everytime you go in, and in no offense at all, the people seem like they just arrived in America with a language barrier it's next to impossible for anyone to understand what they're having done or what your expecting to get...Nancy we all miss you very much and we hope you will be able to return very soon until then I'll have to find somewhere else to take my business. I'm a small business owner too and love hearing my own feedback regarding my staff.

Otherwise they usually do flower designs.I've never had waxing services here, but they have a few private rooms off to the side for this purpose that look comfortable and clean.

I went to nail topia for awhile and decided to try new places. Last minute I wanted to get my nails done so I called to find out how much it would be for a set I was told 25 got there and they charged me 30 instead unsatisfied I didn't leave a tip a day or so later my nails started cracking on every finger from where they glued the nail before the powder so I called after the first one did it and continued on with my day satisfied that they said they would fix it for no charge as my day continues more started to crack I will never go back to nail topia they are a complete rip off I can go to nail trust on Dixie hwy in Waterford and pay 25 dollars for a much better service where they charge 25 for the colored sparkly nails while nail topia charges 15 dollars more along with their shellac nail trust charges 15 nail topia charges 30 and for white tip set nail topia charges 30 while nail trust charges 25 . Nail topia has horrible costumer service and really don't care about their customers it's only about the money to them.

Everyone here for the most part is nice and does an average job. I've never had to wait very long and if I had an appointment, I get right in. I used to go here faithfully for quite some time.. The owner has her kids working there - a girl and a boy, both high school age.. When I have an appointment with someone, I want my entire service done by that one person.. Is that too much to ask? I don't appreciate being passed onto her children. I understand they get busy and everyone is trying to help, but I don't like it. I wonder if they are even qualified to assist with services?? The actual fill part has always been done by an adult, but as far as polishing or an entire pedicure, I've been passed on to the kids. I understand I should speak up, but I feel it should be understood I'm there for an appointment with YOU not everyone! ALSO---They make a big deal if you pay by credit card. They prefer cash. Then they go on and on and on and on about all the fees the banks charge for credit cards!!! I understand there are merchant expenses and associated with credit cards, but isn't this part of doing business? Give me a discount for paying by cash, lol!! The service here is OK, but I probably won't be back..

I went here because a customer of mines nails were nice, and she said she went here. I'm am completely hating my experience. The lady that dId my nails had an attitude. I got gel nails and my eye brows waxed. My nails look like crap, the worse they've ever looked when I've gotten my nails done. It has only been 5 days since they have been done and the top coat is fading, and the edges lifting. My eye brows and the bridge of my nose broke out with blisters and pimples from the wax. I will not be going back.
