Pedicure was decent. The tech did an adequate job, but didn't speak much English, so there was no interaction. She did not do what I asked her, though, which was clip my nails shorter, as she said they were already too short. (That's my decision, not yours). I'd give another try with a different tech. I'm writing my review as I sit in the lobby of the salon. I asked when I arrived (walk-in) how long the wait would be for a pedicure and I was told 30 minutes. I have been waiting 45 minutes, so I just asked another employee how much longer the wait would be and she told me it will be at least another 30 minutes. I have watched multiple customers walk in and get service before me because they had an appointment. "Walk ins welcome" is printed largely on the door. It appears that walk ins are welcome... Welcome to sit, wait, wait and... wait. I'll update my review after I get my pedicure. You should hear something from me by 2018 I hope.Update:I was eventually called back for my pedicure. I was initially told that it would take 30 minutes. My wait time ended up being 1 hour and 8 minutes.I believe that the man that did my pedicure was the owner or manager (he was older and he seemed important- employees kept going to him for questions).The chairs were very large and comfortable. The chairs had the capability to give a back massage while the pedicure was being done. I took advantage of the massage feature on the chair. I had the massage on full strength but it was not very noticeable. The massage feature on the chair is a nice gesture, but doesn't add much to the experience.The man that gave me my pedicure did a decent enough job. Unfortunately, I was left feeling neglected because he was always busy. When I was first seated, he told me to let my feet soak for 1 minute and that he would be back. He went to the front of the store (out of sight) and didn't return for 10 minutes. When he returned, he did my pedicure. He then left me to let my polish dry and didn't return for another 10 minutes. After he returned, he then moved me to let my polish dry some more under the lamp/fan at the front of the store while he started working on another customer. After 15 minutes went by, I got up and asked him if it was dry enough for me to leave yet. He then took me back to the front of the store so that I could pay. The pedicure that I received was $33.All in all, I would not return to this location. It took more than 2 hours from start to finish from the time that I walked in to the time that I left. The pedicure itself took less than 20 minutes. My pedicure turned out well enough, but was not more impressive than other pedicures that I have received. I think this place is a notch above your typical Asian nail place. The inside is decorated nicely with updated furniture and fixtures. The floor was dirty though. They have a good selection of polish with all the major brands including Vinylux. The mani area is in front and the pedi area is in back, separated by a wall. The pedi chairs are big and comfy and equipped with massage ability. I got a pedicure. They put a plastic liner in the bowl to ensure cleanliness and my tech opened the package of tools in front of me. The massage was good but not great and the hot towel was a nice touch. I have gone to Bloomfield Nail Spa many times before but the last time I went (12/28/2016) will be the absolute last time. I decided to get a new set of acrylics because it had been a while. Instead of soaking my nails, the man was ripping my nails off by using an unused tip. As he was going through I was saying "OW" "OUCH" "THIS HURTS" and he proceeded to act annoyed and continued ripping at them. The last nail RIPPED MY REAL NAIL OFF. I REPEAT IT RIPPED MY NAIL OFF AND I WAS BLEEDING. He seemed to feel bad and apologized over and over but that didn't keep my attitude down, I was mad and he knew it. I let him finish because I needed nails before i left. At the end he proceeded to CHARGE ME $40 NO DISCOUNT. It was terrible customer service, I have already told handfuls of friends who have vowed not to go to this place because it was that unprofessional. It looks like a beautiful salon and is usually great but the old man who did my nails, I've heard from others that he was hard on their nails too and was not friendly. Bloomfield nails has lost a lot of customers based just on this guy. I wish I knew his name because I hope he's not hurting others and potentially giving them infections like he has done to me. I WILL NEVER COME BACK !!!! this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life - not only was I made to feel highlly uncomfortable , the pedicure itself was sub standard at best , none of the problem areas were addressed ,he was yanking and pulling on my feet for position . when I try to strike up a conversation with him, he didn't even look at me as he was too fixated on who was walking through the front door ordering manicures , as It appeared , giving pedicures in this line of business is Worst of the worst and I was made to feel that way .. when the pedicure was over , he snatched up my shoes and threw them near the drying area , turned on the lights and stormed Off to his manicure station .. I didn't expect a thank you for coming as I wasn't even property greeted in the first place . I myself am a business owner ,and if or to treat my residents the way I was treated at this facility -I would not have this business I would not have renters- if you're looking to treat yourself to a manicure or a pedicure , please do yourself a favor and drive right past this place, you can thank me later ! The staff was rude, impatient, and pushy from the minute I walked in there. A younger girl did mine. She rushed and was not accurate with doing the pre polishing and such. She told me to wash my hands prior but there was no nothing to dry my hands so I searched thru the drawers because she was too busy on her phone to notice I was lost. I tried starting a conversation and she didn't even acknowledge that I said something to her but yet she could speak chinese to her family (never know if they are complaining about you). When you put your hand in the drier she was blunt and rude saying "next, next" to tell me she wanted the next hand (could have been said WAY nicer). It was the worse experience I have ever had at a nail and spa place. Then to top it all off my shilac didn't even last a week without peeling up. My graduation is tomorrow and it won't even last 1 week & 1 day until then.. suppose to last 2 weeks or more. Will not recommend this to ANYONE. Read Less
