Mary and her mother are both awesome! I followed Mary from another spa/nails place, and the extra 15 minute drive is worth it.  She has ALWAYS taken her time, remembering how I like certain things done. Even if when I go in and Mary is with another customer, her mom will do my pedicure, but Mary will come and check her work and spend even more time making it just right. Great customer service! I have been coming to JV nails for almost 20 years. I didn't know they were Under New Management however I did notice and demeanour  with new uniforms.  Mary did my nails and it was my first time getting getting gel. She did a wonderful job and I absolutely love it the gel. Read Less

The older woman kept using the automatic drill in the same spot and it was very painful. After she did it 4 times and was only on the 3rd finger i just had her stop. I've been getting my nails done for 15 years and haven't had someone so bad! Highly recommend only seeing the other lady. Such a bad experience!Read Less

This is now my regular regiment. They do a wonderful job on my acrylic nails and my pedicure. In response to the 2013 review, I have never seen a man working there. The ladies do an incredible job juggling the customers. Always a pleasant atmosphere, cordial and honest with guests. Read Less

I'm very happy with this salon.  They are a little higher than the last salon I went to in Taylor, but the salon is very clean and very quiet.  I have had a deluxe pedicure from two different persons, both were well done and long-lasting.  I'll be going back. Read Less

I went to JV nails last week for the first time since they've been under new management. Although I had to wait a little longer than expected I had an alright experience. Tammy did my nails and did a great job seeing as I kept changing the color I wanted. However, I was only there a week ago and 4 nails have already chipped. With the amount of money I spent, almost double what the previous owners used to charge, I am not happy. Read Less

I'm going to say first, the ladies here are sweet as pie! They're friendly and communicate with their customers. I usually end up getting stuck with the man here. He is soooo EXTREMELY rude. He was removing perfectly good nails and charging me to redo them without even asking or warning me first. Two visits ago I paid $40 for a full set(which are usually $25-$30) for flare nails (wide tips). That man filed the sides down SO narrow that they were more narrow than my fingertips. Definitely NOT flare nails that I paid for. Not to mention the ends were filed all slanted and uneven. I told him 4 times I wanted them WIDE. I didn't want them filed on the sides at all. So I paid $40 for nothing. He also doesn't respond to anything you say or ask and when he was done, he took off to the back and shouted the price to charge me to his daughter who rang me up. He is the only nail tech I have never tipped in 12years if getting them done. He is so awful, even my little girl made a comment about his attitude. Rude rude rude. If I go back i will refuse him. Or I'll continue to go to my other nail salon a few miles out of my way. Read Less
