Bad manicure and bad attitude.   I was in there this past Saturday for a manicure.  The place was really empty and quiet, and taking a walk-in was no issue.  However, the person that took care of me kept trying to upsell me, and when I said no the manicure was quick and over.  Terrible job; rushed; minimal hand rub.   You can be sure I will never go back here! Just moved to the area and wanted an everyday salon. Went in for a pedi and acrylic full set. The first girl did a great job on my toes. But when I sat down for my full set it was all down hill from there. I asked for shorter nails with a coffin shape. The last laughed and said it's hard to do on shorter nails and that it would be extra. I said that would be fine because I've had 3 other places do a short coffin shape on my nails and it always came out fine. But when she went to shape them instead of filing them into the shape SHE CUT THEM WITH SCISSORS AND CUT PART OF MY NAIL. I have never seen anyone cut the sides like that. When she put the powder and color on she acrylic did not fill the surface of my nail, and the polish didn't come anywhere near my cuticles. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I was there past closing time and I knew they probably just wanted to go home. Within 2 days the acrylic started chipping really bad so I went back and asked the manager to fix them and expressed that I understood the last was in a rush but I wanted them redone. The whole time the manager just complained and said coffin shape isn't meant to hold up especially not on short nails. Like I said I've had them done many times before and they were fine. The manager didn't even fill in the missing acryic and gaping holes in my nails all he did was re-polish and send me on my way. I decided I would give them another shot because they were probably in a rush. Lol this time was worse than before. I got there just in time before there was a line and got the same lady as before. I asked her to remove the acrylic she had done and to just give me square because clearly she couldn't do coffin. Instead of soaking my nails she takes the cuticle trimmer and starts hacking at the acrylic and ripping off my real nails. When it really started hurting I made a comment about it and she just laughed and said to hold still. Once again she rushed and my acrylic was very lumpy, uneven and my index fingers nail was so crooked. The nails were very wide and looked like duck nails, very unflattering especially because I have shorter fingers. On top of that, more and more people started coming in and they were understaffed so my nail tech expressed how displeased she was and basically started telling incoming people to leave because the wait would be too long. My final time going here I decided to just stick with a pedicure because I wasn't risking another acrylic set. They looked great but when I went up to pay, the lady charged me $35. On the board it clearly says regular pedis are $25 and that's what I was charged last time. That was the final straw. I'm officially never going back there. Read Less

This place is terrible. I came in and the nail tech rushed me from the second I walked in. She wouldn't let me open the bottles of nail polish because apparently the colors are the same that are shown on the bottle. Then she rushed thru the entire manicure and my nails look worse than if I did them myself. I'm never coming back. Read Less

I am highly disappointed at the service I received at this establishment today!!! First I came in an hour before closing, waited patiently and they began to do my nails around 730. Next I noticed the nail tech fingers were bleeding and that really disgusted me!! she did not bother to put a Band-Aid on or clean the equipment and she continued to do my nails and I pretty much ignored it (which I shouldn't have) and also I received very rude service from her!!! She was very pushy, rude and had a real bad attitude and joked with another tech about wanting to leave. She pretty much tried to rush me into paying. I been to this salon numerous times and this was by far the most horrendous experience I ever had. She even yelled out "well you can speak with my manager tomorrow" when I expressed my disappointment in the service I received. I would never recommend anyone to come to this place ever again!!! I had the worst experience here. First off, I came at the nail salon an hour before it was going to close, I waited patiently and everything. I never had service so poor and I feel like it was a complete rush job...  my nails look horrible and not to mention, the tech fingers was bleeding while doing my nails( extremely gross). Also the tech was extremely rude, irritable and very pushy... I tried so hard to keep calm and pleasant but the attitude from her was too bad!! The were trying to rush me into paying and made little jokes among each other about hurrying to leave. I shouldn't have even payed for this horrible nail job.!!! I have been getting pedicures for over 20 years. Worst ever...toe nails not filed right evenly & polish didn't cover nail, no cuticle clean up. The store owner would not schedule an appointment to have it fixed by another technician. He was extremely rude! Would not recommend! Read Less

I came here a year ago and got a couple services done... pretty good job. Went here today for a quick shellac polish change and it was the worst job I've ever gotten... polish all over my skin... which then cured in the light so if I peel it off the side of my nails it will rip all the polish off in a sheet.... everything was rushed and my nails look awful... really let down. $25 dollars later and I need to go redo them somewhere else. I got shellac on my nails 6 days ago. 2 days after getting them done they began to chip. Now the shellac has completely lifted. I am absolutely outraged I paid $80. DO NOT GO HERE. I get shellac all the time and they always last at least 2 weeks, sometimes 3 depending on how well I take care of them. I even added a photo. You can tell how newly done my nails are because the nail growth is almost non existent. Read Less

I forget name but the older lady with glasses was so detail and a perfectionist while doing my nails and also waxed my eyebrows. I will be coming again. I've been going to wonder nails for over 3 years now and there is no way I would ever go anywhere else unless I absolutely had to, the only place I'll go for acrylics/gels. Besides that, the owners and staff are so personable and fun! The Livonia store has an incredible layout complete with princess pedicure stalls. The new location in Sterling Heights is also very beautiful designed personally by the owners. I always tell anybody who asks me about my nails where I got them done. I live near by and decided to try Wonder Nails. I am usually particular so I tend to go to the same place I usually go. I was extremely impressed, great prices, high quality and expertise that usually don't go hand in hand but with Wonder Nails it does! Professional, friendly and most important to me - clean! Hours have a good range as well. I will only be going to Wonder Nails from now on and I highly recommend to everyone. I went into the salon just to try something new.In the middle of a pedicure the woman asked If I wanted the normal pedicure or the 30$ upgraded pedi. I agreed to the upgrade. The "massage" she did on me was rushed and horrible . I had to ask after if she did the upgrade or was that the regular pedi! She left my feet feeling hard and only used the foot razor on my feet for about a minute each which I had to ask her to go over one more time, just so they would be semi smooth. Once we got over to do my nails(acrylic fill) she was very rough she kept going over the skin around my nails.It started to get raw and I could see how irritated they were getting. She seemed annoyed when I told her she was hurting me yet, kept going over the same spots even after I kept pulling away from the stinging ! Paid 60$ for my services and am highly dissatisfied. First time I went there I asked for a full set, it was the worst full set I've ever gotten. The nails were thick, so unnatural looking, and a few were shorter a few were longer. After that experience I wasn't planning on returning but I received a gift card so I figured I'd give it another shot. I asked for a pedicure and full set. They started me off with a pedicure, the water was SO cold, I told her too but she decided to ignore me. She was so rough to the point were I was literally cringing from pain and I am one to tolerate pain! She barely scrubbed my feet. I feel no difference from the before and after. Before she started me on my pedicure she had wrapped my fingernails in foil to take the shellac off. Because I wasn't enjoying my pedicure I had to make up a lie and say I was running late so I wouldn't have time to do my full set today. When she finished my pedicure she told me to sit down at a table so she could take the shellac off my nails at least, she was seriously scraping my entire nail. She made three of my cuticles. NEVER EVER RETURNING. If I ever get another gift card, I'll be more than happy to give it to someone else. You couldn't pay me to go there. A shame too because their color collection is amazing.
