DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE. I got a shellac manicure here, and these are the nails I was left with after removing the polish. I have been receiving shellac manicures for years, and have never had my nails damaged. I showed my nails to another salon, and the individual that did my nails used an electric file/nail drill , and that did damage that was 'unfixable' (temporary damage). I have to wait for my nails to grow out, and you can feel the ridge where my nail had been filed/drilled. Huge disappointment, and extremely unhappy. In response to the owner: This has nothing to do with the removal of the polish. This is the result of using an electric file prior to the application of the shellac. It is now 10/18/17, and my nails are still only 2/3 of the way grown out. Long process to get my nails back to normal. Read Less

Since moving Downriver, I didn't really know of a good nail place so naturally I Yelp'ed it. I walked in on a busy Saturday Morning and wasn't expecting to be seated right away. Imagine my surprise when I walked in, and it wasn't an Asian Nail Salon...I literally almost turned around and walked out and in again to make sure I was in the right place. I'm just not used to that. The ladies were all polite and fantastic. The young lady who did my nails...I believe her name is Dolores. She's young and passionate about doing nails. She even showed me some nail designs she's done on previous clients so I was really impressed. The salon is clean and fairly new. The waiting area is small but it looked like most people make appointments to come in since they do get very busy. I went to this nail salon based on the great reviews it had received. I went in for a pedicure. The salon was clean, neat and staff was very professional. However my pedicure was severely lacking. The tech barely did the procedures for a pedicure and the polish job was HORRIBLE. By the time I got home the polish was FADED. I was very disappointed. If I go back I will seek out another nail tech. I did see several other nail techs work that was neat and professional. I will give the salon 5 stars for being clean, neat and professional. Great group of women that strive to give you the very best. This was my first time going to Nails on the Go and Megan was my tech. Not only was she easy to talk to and converse with but she was very meticulous with her work, which I appreciate immensely. She continuously made sure I liked what she was doing and if the nails were comfortable for me, I work with my hands so my nails have to be sturdy and on the shorter side. My mother had a mani/pedi when visiting and can't wait to come back to town to make another appointment! This is a great place to go for custom nail art and brow waxes too. I was pretty excited to go here after reading good reviews. However I was quite disappointed after my first visit. iIt was soooo hot in the salon that I was sweating in the pedicure chair.  The lady that did my pedicure  didn't talk to me and I finally gave up trying to carry on a conversation.  The pedicure itself was fine, but definitely not what I thought I was getting for the price.  I could have gotten a better one cheaper at a quickie Asian owned place.  One nice stylist offered me a bottle of water and I gladly accepted, wondering why my tech didn't offer. Well I have to say my first time was... interesting. Had a pedicure that was amazing. However, I got a manicure with the CND shellac, and it literally chipped two days after my visit. I was so incredibly disappointed with it. I had gotten gel manis at Sun Nails and it lasted me about 13 days before my first chip. Needless to say I will never return here. I'm so bummed out because my boyfriend had paid for them for my birthday and I obviously wasted his money. Quite a disappointment. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for lasting shellac. A total waste of money. Read Less

This is the place to go for quality work, friendly environment, and 100% satisfaction!! They're American owned and operated you will be able to understand your tech because they speak American English, no broken English and pretending like you know what the heck they're saying lol I do recommend a appointment because these girls are super busy! I must say you won't be disappointed your first visit or ever. All of these ladies are very friendly and do a very good job with nails. All services are done very well, they are gentle, also very professional at what they do at a very good price. When I go in I feel at home every time too. Suann does my nails and she has always done a spectacular job and most of all their salon is very clean. I always see them cleaning and that means they care about their clients. This salon just opened up in the old Bebe Nails location. The owners are a few girls who previously had their own shop in an addition in one of their houses, but they were finding themselves constantly booked and a little cramped, so decided to open up this gem on Dix!The salon itself is really clean and brand new. The ventilation is the best I've ever experienced and walking in, I smelt absolutely nothing. The worst thing, to me, is to be hit in the mouth with acetone when you walk in...no here! There are 4-5 pedicure chairs over to the left, complete with massage options, and three nail stations on the right. There's a simple little waiting area and, of course, polishes wrapping the wall.All three girls that work here are awesome, but I see Magalay. She has been doing my nails for almost a year and never disappoints! She does some wicked nail art as well...you would not believe the things this girl can do! The best thing about this salon is that there is no overcharging going on. CND shellac is $18. At an American salon, that is UNHEARD of. I used to pay $40 (+ tip!) at Pure NV in Taylor for the same exact product and process. Insanity. But, that's the heart of this salon - not overpricing their services and products, so that their customers can actually afford to pamper themselves...and this customer will keep coming back! Read Less
