MAK salon traveled to our rental house near journeyman and did my hair, my bridal party (7 girls) and 4 moms before my wedding! 4 stylists came and they were amazing! Everyone loved their hair, most of us picked curled styles which lasted throughout the night even with it being a windy day!! The service and atmosphere are above the rest at this salon.  Maggie and her team are A+ in their care of the client and ensuring a wonderful experience.  Kelsey is by far the best when it comes to a massage. I cannot rave enough about this group when it comes to customer experience. If you need a place to accommodate you for hair or makeup, look no further! We chose MAK for our complete wedding party hair and makeup. These wonderful women accommodated our group well, and did a PERFECT (and I mean perfect) job. You know when you go to a salon as a group and you see a stylist's job of hair and/or make up and think to yourself, "oh I hope that's not who i have..."? That was FAR from our experience here!!! Literally my entire wedding party and parents walked out that door looking stunning (no exaggeration). Horrible Save your hair, time and money!! Melted my hair and then tried to make it my fault. If your a professional: one you do not use a 40 volume on pre-lightened hair, two as a manager you do not make excuses for your staff and blame it on the client. Poor Form. I tried to work with them...they made multiple excuses, owned none of the issue and then said they no longer wanted to work with me. Lying about the process and their trying to fix the issue. They may even try to contest this...but I have all of it in writing so why would I lie? That's right...I wouldn't. Find a better option. There are some great places out there...keep looking. I read the reviews and all of them were good. I had a consult, we discussed what my hair had done to it prior, made second appointment to have color done, thought all was safe since I followed what I should do as a client. Hair melted off my head...in the end 8" were cut off to save what was left. ( will take over a year to recover what I lost) NO one at MAK owned the issue or paid me back for my loss. Read Less

Very poor results... had a consult to lighten my roots/grow-out, asked for someone who was good with blonde hair, at the time had my hair trimmed. Place seemed clean with friendly staff. Second appt. we discussed prior agreement of process for my desired end result. Stylist put product on my hair and then disappeared for a very long time...came back said hair was done, did not tell me it had melted!!!!!! A few days later I washed my hair and it was coming off in my hands by the hands full...melted gum!!! Contacted MAK immediately... they asked me to come in. Stylist was not there, management only, said they would work with me, owner did a Demi and tone and the entire time made excuses and tried to suggest it was something I did to my own hair. Poor Form!!! Own the problem...do not make it the clients issue. In the end I lost 8 INCHES of my hair...you decide...is a year and four months of growing your hair worth this salon? They tried to push me off and say they could not work with me...I paid for this, and they did not reimburse me. I have all of it in writing. Save your money, hair and self respect. Keep Looking!! Phenomenal customer service and talent at this salon!  Our bridal group had hair, nail, and makeup services scheduled this past weekend. We were welcomed into the clean, beautiful, and organized salon with open arms. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations as the salon is tucked away in a small town. I can't imagine the world without MAK. It's the only place I'll go for my coif and massage. The services are exquisitely personalized, the salon is clean, inviting and although it's small town, local, it has a hip flair. I'm so grateful I don't have to travel far to get cutting edge hair products, cuts and color that looks so natural I really shouldn't even mention it, and world class massage therapy. Vive la MAK. All of the ladies at MAK were a dream to work with.  From the hair and make up trials to wedding nails to the day of, everyone was very professional and on point.  The ladies came to my wedding site to do hair and make up for the entire wedding party.  Maggie was amazing at coordinating every appointment with our large wedding party.  Marissa did my make up and hair, which not only looked amazing but lasted all night long.  I highly recommend using these ladies for your wedding! I got many services from MAK for my wedding recently- and they were all great!  We did make-up, hair and nails.  A very homey feel to the whole place and good tea!  Maggie and her team are extremely professional and kind. Marissa did my hair and make-up trials and she did such a nice job of picking the right colors and styles for me.  I'm not much of a make-up person anyways so I didn't give her much to go off of, but I was so pleased that she came up with a nice natural palette that still accented my features and made me feel done up in just the right way.  My sisters and I got our nails (pedicures and manicures) a few days before the wedding and the space was perfect.  There were three of us, and they had our appointments overlap and rotated us through.  The nail room was the perfect spot to spend our morning and we could chat and not feel like we were interrupting other customers.  Our nails ended up just how we wanted them and we really enjoyed the ladies who did them for us.Last, my bridal party and I all had our hair done off-site for the wedding.  They were very accommodating with our unique space for the hair appointments and everyone loved how their hair turned out!  We all selected pretty different styles and it was so nice to actually have them end up that way (I've had hair done from other places and we've all ended up with pretty much the same 'do despite not requesting that, so this was a relief).  They were right on time, finished us up a few minutes early and were nice to have as a part of the big day.I'd recommend any of these services to others- and already have. Last weekend Maggie and her amazing staff took on me and my bridal party for updos, nails, makeup, and massages! Everyone's hair turned out SO beautiful, our makeup was done to perfection (for those that had it done), and each of us can probably agree that the Shellac manicures were the best we'd ever gotten done! Overall I can't say anything but positive things about our entire experience. I felt so beautiful after the girls got ahold of me for a few hours! :) It made the start to my wedding day one to remember! MAK Salon and Spa is a little hidden oasis on Red Arrow Highway. I called for a same day appointment and they were booked but when they got a cancellation they called back immediately.
