Went here 3 times and was not impressed with the quality of work.  They are over priced and under qualified.  Last time I went in I asked to get my eyebrows waxed and Rebecca waxed off my left eyebrow tail and then charged me $28 on top of the $80 for the lash refill!  The place is clean and shabby chic decorated in Royal Oak but the service ...meh! I went to Wink Beauty and Lash studio for a Yumi lash treatment! I have no complaints about the treatment, Sophia did a great job but I was told I needed to put down a $75 deposit before scheduling the appt, and that $75 was going to be applied to my services. At the checkout however,  they charged me another $150 (full price for the service) and did not refund me the deposit I had already put down; when I asked about it she said It can be applied to other services if I were to schedule another appt, so I did.  Realizing I couldn't go back there because of my hectic schedule, I called asking for the refund of my $75  and cancelled the appt I scheduled 3 days prior,  but I was told they would have to check with the owner.. a few months later, and I never heard from the owner or anyone regarding my deposit! I would personally recommend going anywhere else, just so they don't rip you off! Read Less

This review pertains to eyebrow threading service only. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded every month for 15+ years now and I felt that this was the worst value for my money. They have great reviews on Yelp and charge $30 (!!!) for eyebrows so I was expecting a well trained aesthetician and great customer service. The aesthetician moved the thread slowly which is terrible because it hurts more that way and she also did not offer to put powder/soothing gel before or after the procedure like all other places do. Plus she was plucking a good amount of hair which shouldn't be the case if you can make straight lines with your thread. Also the aesthetician didn't introduce herself before starting and they don't have online booking capabilities which sucks since they are by appointment only. The only positives were that they give complimentary brow brush at the end and tips are built in to the charge. Read Less

Wink Beauty & Lash Studio provide excellent quality & guest service!!! Eyelash extensions are a luxury service & when you feel like you aren't being made a priority as a client, that can be discouraging to return. The reason I left the last studio was largely attributed to feeling like I was an inconvenience. The artist didn't feel an obligation to put guest focus first (simply being friendly) & the salon didn't make scheduling easy (texting reschedule requests all week & up to hours before the appointment). The team at Wink in Royal Oak are willing to work around schedules, made me feel like I was valued, & the outcome of my lashes were great (so many compliments!). Really cute and clean salon. My particular experience was kind of a disappointment as I got a lash 'lift' and it didn't turn out. No harm done, but no difference in my lashes. The staff were very nice, very apologetic and accommodating and did not charge me for that service. I also got my eyebrows threaded which was just okay. I was hoping for an improvement in the shape but no such luck. I might come back if I ever do decide to commit to lash extensions. Read Less

Janet is a master! Not only is she talented,  but she's a doll! I have to say, I'm crazy about anything near my eyes(can't even wear contacts) but Janet did a amazing job. This is not something you want just anyone doing.  This salon is clean, professional and you'll look like the lashes you see on TV.  By the way, no one talks about it but they all do it;).   I wanted mine for a vacation and it was nice to not apply any other makeup.   I thought I had an issue, being new at this(I just wasn't sure, it was me)and Liz the owner saw me herself. I loved my experience here! This is my first time getting eyelashes done and they look amazing. I'm definitely hooked! I don't have to wear mascara and eyeliner is not necessary for trips to the store. My eyelashes are very long and do not curl well and they've been out of my eyes since the lashes were applied. I had a really good experience here for my first time getting eyelash extensions. Janet, the master aesthetician who did my application, was very helpful and answered all of my many questions. She also offered suggestions for maintenance and longevity that I really appreciated. Also, since you're kind of stuck in a room together for two hours (!) she was also a very calming presence and I never felt uncomfortable. She also followed up with me a week later to make sure they were still ok. She was very generous with her time and addressed all of my concerns. Thank you, Janet! I just tried this place out for the first time and will definitely be returning! I went to get my eyebrows touched up with intentions of getting them waxed. I was introduced to threading, which I was rather nervous about. I don't think I'll ever wax again! She did such a good job with the threading and it made a huge difference. It was also very affordable and fast. They also do makeup services there and sell some products they use and I ended up buying a few things (naturally) and absolutely love them.
