This is one of the best nail salon I’ve been to. You would be helped immeadiately the moment you walk into the salon. $94 for a Mani /Pedi - are you kidding me?? When offered the parrifin wax I asked how long and much it was and was told only just a few minutes and a bit more. Turns out that was an extra $19. And they charge you to take off shellac you come in with. This place is nice and so are the employees but their rates are highway robbery and not acceptable for a town as lovely as Royal Oak is. Highly recommend! I took a friend who has never been and we both walked out feeling great and with wonderfully done nails. The tea they offer while getting your nails done is such a relaxing touch. Also the fact that we were their last clients of the day, which I didn't even realize because they took their time and we didn't feel rushed at all. Their prices are a little higher then most salons but you 100% get what you pay for and it's worth the money. I called ahead to see if I needed an appointment for the Hollywood Pedicure and they told me to just come in. I was able to sit down with Kaylee immediately, so we were off to a good start. But when I got to the pedicure station, I noticed they didn't have any massage chairs. This may be a plus for some people, but I love the massage during my pedicures and was really disappointed that they didn't have it. So then I told Kaylee I wanted the Hollywood Pedicure and she had no idea what I was talking about. I told her it was on their website and she still looked at me like I was crazy. She finally went and got me a list of their services and not only are all the names of the services different, the actual services were different. So I settled for a regular pedicure with a paraffin wax. Kaylee did a wonderful job on the pedicure and although she wasn't too talkative, she did consistently check in to make sure I was comfortable. When it came time for the paraffin wax, it seemed like she hadn't done it too much and it was way too hot when I first put my foot in. She did apologize and it wasn't like I got burned or anything, so I just chalked that up to inexperience. When they gave my the check, it said "cash only tips." Like I said, Kaylee did a really good job and I normally tip really well, but I was counting on putting the tip on my card. I only had a few dollars with me to tip her with, so I felt awful that she didn't get the tip she deserved from me. Overall, this salon was clean, staff was friendly, and the service was good. But I was really disappointed that I chose this salon based on services their website advertises only to find they don't do them. I could've gone somewhere closer to my house if I just wanted a regular pedicure and paraffin... and I could've sat in a massage chair while I got it! This salon is nice, it just isn't for me. My sister-in-law and I went here this morning.  We like to try different salons in the search for best pedicure for lowest price.  Unfortunately, this place was just ok.  Very cute and comfortable interior and great color selection however the actual service left both of us wanting more.  My leg massage was a little rough and she barely felt hers.  She also had a $7 up-charge for the type of polish she chose and wasn't told, nor was there a sign indicating that.  It wasn't gel, but was the Essie drugstore version of "gel". Don't waste your time,  they don't massage your feet only barely on your legs. I paid $69 for a $65 pedicure and all they did was put a bunch of different lotions on with towels, very disappointed! Nice girl but she totally filled down my artificial nail on one of my toes, so now it's smaller than the natural ones in which brings attention to it again and it doesn't grow! I came here based on other reviews. I rarely get my nails done because I've had less than stellar experiences elsewhere. Today, I came in and sat with Vee. She did a great job and paid special attention to a nail that has had frequent injury to the cuticle area. Parking was easy. They offer a few spots out front aside from the metered city options. They offer beverages upon arrival and the entire space appears very clean. Music was comfortable level and conversation was pleasant. Vee was super sweet, too. I have been going to Nails 07 for about a year now.  I discovered them after a beautiful Saturday spent working in the yard, searching for a nail salon on a SUNDAY that would fix the mess I created before some major business meetings I needed to look professional for the following week.  Nails 07 not only fit the schedule but they did a really good job.  I regularly return for a pedi, shellac and eyebrow wax.  In and out in two hours feeling rested and confident.  I have never had a bad experience there, and now book my appointments with Kata.  If you are into the pedicure for the massage, WOW, she is the best.I only gave them 4 stars for two reasons: Their prices are a high compared to others, but.. they do walk in's on a Sunday.  Their pedi sinks are always cold on the bottom.  It doesn't matter if it's the middle of July and they crank up the heat with the water.  The bottom of the bowl is always ice cold and quickly cools the water. Nails 07 is awesome, if you get the right nail tech.  I've been multiple times and have always been impressed, except for once I had a really shitty manicure.  I've never had an issue with any of the women, but I typically call and book an appointment with Sam because he is the best.  I've had manicures, pedicures, and shellac manicures.  All have looked good and have been good services except that one time.The place is clean and the prices are comparable to other salons in the area.  You can walk in or make an appointment, and I've never had to wait when I've walked in.  The parking structure helps with parking, but there's the coveted free parking spot for customers up to a half hour, which is perfect for that quick manicure if you can score the spot. So I was here today to get my gel manicure removed and redone. They did not ask how I'd like my nails shaped or if I'd like them cut down, and my thumb nail looks like it's dripping there was so much polish put on. Always polite and helpful with customers. I often take an elderly aunt with me and they help her in and out of the pedi chair, and are accommodating to her lack of understanding about how to put her hand in the shellac lamp. I've been very satisfied with the services and prices.Read Less

Although I went for the special powder silver shellac and a manicure before my vacation.  I went on a Friday the flight out was Monday.  The specialtiy shellac was an extra $5 a nail.  When I got to Miami on Monday afternoon the silver had started fading to the black shellac under the silver.  By the time we had dinner on Monday night the silver shellac as well as the black undertone was starting to chip.  By Tuesday the shellac had peeled off completely.  I spent $10 for 2 nails and add that to the overly expensive manicure that took all of 5 mins.  I paid $45 for a manicure and shellac.  I feel ripped off. Went in for the signature pedicure which is supposed to be at least 35 min long. I know this because plastered on every tv screen is the promise that if the signature pedi is less than 35 min, you can email the manager and your next one will be free. I have never ever complained before when they finished at 25-30 minutes despite the results being inconsistent at best.....but the girl who did mine 3 days ago finished in 15 minutes!!! My one and only time going here.  The service was decent.  Color selection seemed limited.  Why I won't go back?  They added charges and never mentioned them before hand.  The girl who waited on me barely spoke English which I have no problem with, unless I need to discuss something like this.  She didn't understand when I questioned the $5 charge for removing shellac polish which was never once  mentioned before the work was done!  Their site doesn't work on phones so I couldn't look it up right then either.  I did check when i got home and it is NOT listed on the site. The decor of the salon is really inviting and the overall ambiance is nice but the quality of their work is substandard. There was no attention to detail during the pedicure and there was very little attention to "rough" spots on the soles of my feet...which is kind of the point.One of the nail techs did a horrible job with cutting the cuticles on my nails and after I brought it to her attention she continued to put alcohol on the cuts over and over again .Additionally, she filed each of my nails into a different shape..some are rounded, some are square..she didn't ask my preference and there was no uniformity. They also had a limited number of polishes to match their shellac collection.The price was astronomical seeing as though the manicure and pedicure itself was no match for the quality of work I have seen at other salons. $74 for a mani/pedi! Great ambiance and beautiful decor but average work...maybe even below average. I was so impressed upon arrival but disappointed upon departure. Read Less

Not a fan. I got a regular manicure which took all of 15 minutes. I like a speedy manicure but it felt rushed. There is no place to sit to dry your nails and they don't have dryers (maybe part of their "organic" shtick), so I just awkwardly sat in my chair for 10 minutes while my nails dried. I have nail polish all around my nails and the general "paint job" was not nearly as precise as I would have liked (there is polish running into my cuticles). They have signs posted outside that say "Best of the best nails in Detroit" according to Allure magazine ..... I've been to many nail salons in metro Detroit and would have to firmly disagree. I have been multiple times. I am very happy with each of my manicures. Each manicurist does a great job. My only complaint is that they charge a fee to remove shellac even though I am paying for a full manicure. I'm going to attempt my own removal from now on. Read Less

The place is nice, the service is pretty good. I have only had manicures a handful of times in my life, but this seemed worth the $40. However, upon leaving I can't shake off the skeevyness of the cash policy of the ownership here.In light of recent news about the treatment of nail techs in salons, any business that wants to hide it's financials is worrysome. They push cash really hard. They will tell you that they cannot accept credit even though they eventually reluctantly do. They encourage use of the ATM on-site. That feels all kinds of sketchy.You are a modern brick & mortar business in 2015. You can handle some credit card fees, and record your income & employee pay with a proper paper trail. Read Less
