This place has been my go to for the last couple years but over the years it has become run down and I never see the owner anymore. They used to be present in the shop making everything run smooth. Now the techs run the place and they don't seem to have direction. They do not set wait time expectations and they only have 3 techs on Saturdays. This is not good business when most people get their nails done on Saturday. The massage chair does not work anymore, the technicians stations are run down and the tools do not look sanitary anymore. Terrible! Worst mani and pedi I have ever gotten. The receptionist was friendly, but the girl who did my nails was rude. I had a Groupon, but paid extra for other services. When I asked if I would soak my nails for the mani, she said "It's a Groupon, no!" She barely pushed back my cuticles for clipping and proceeded to nip into my skin. I've given this place numerous chances, with different employees, and am disappointed every time. Finally learned and will not return. The stations are dirty and tools appear to be unsanitary. I have had to fix my nails myself when I leave, every time, because they are misshapen, not smooth, excess acrylic that needs to be removed from edges, etc. And despite asking and pointing out the blatant flaws, they are just unwilling to do them properly. I have no problem paying for what I want and expect, I tip well, as I personally work in a service industry, so cost is no issue...I just want them done well...but this place doesn't seem to have a single employee that is interested in keeping satisfied paying clients. They all move at an extremely slow pace yet clearly perfection is not a goal. I spent an hour and a half in there for a fill in and a repair, which would've been fine if they looked great after all that time, but again I have to fix them myself! This is a very nice salon, it’s clean and well maintained. I had a pedicure and waxing services and everything was excellent, the technicians were very nice and did a great job. I will be going back. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the girl at the front desk is not great at her job. The owner of this salon has no idea what customer service means. I chose to get my legs waxed here because they advertised a reasonable price for waxing just the lower legs, or so I thought. The price for a "half leg" advertised on their website is outdated and PER LEG according to the owner. I don't think I've EVER seen waxing advertised PER LEG!! Just another excuse. They wanted to charge me $45 for just my lower legs when the price on their website was $23!! The best they would offer was a 10% discount when they DOUBLED their prices!! Not mention that there wasn't even much hair on my legs, due to my own waxing attempts. And this was after I waited 30 minutes to find out about their bait and switch. I stopped in on a whim while walking around the strip mall. The salon has a really cool vibe, unlike any other salon I've been to. They took me right away and the pedicure I got was the best I've had in a long time and I've never had one that good at that price ever. Serina was amazing and so friendly. There aren't massage chairs but this was far better. I pedestal surrounded by cushions with a copper bowl and mosiac foot rest. I can't recommend this place enough! I love my nail tech Alex, but She's Nailin It seems to feel that it's ok for you to have an appointment at 9:30am when their doors open and give it away when you walk through the door at 9:31 am . They say it's policy for them to take the next appointment when you are late, however you are not informed of said policy ahead of time. Above all of that, how can you open at 930 and already have skipped my appointment by 931? I can understand if they opened at 9 . But they opened at 930 and I sat and watched everyone arrive at 925 am. How can I have been too late in 6 minutes?? Read Less

On any given day they only have 1 actual Nail Tech. They can't keep actual Nail Techs in the salon because they take 40% of their pay. Now they have a late policy that states " If you are not 15 minutes early for your appointment you can be bumped out of your scheduled spot" but they don't tell you that when you make the appointment. I love the atmosphere and the cleanliness. BUT I made an appointment and I've been waiting a half hour and no one has even spoken to me yet. That is really unprofessional, if you ask me. This is the third time I've been here. The three stars are for Jenna, my wonderful tech. However, the salon itself has been in a slow decline for the past year or so. When I first started going 3 plus years ago, the salon was as clean as a whistle, the owners were always there and the staff was not in a constant turn around. Now, the owners are never there, the smell of chemicals is very strong, the carpet is dirty the polishes are not being rotated and there are only two techs there at a time which makes for long wait times even with an appointment. Love the atmosphere. Theresa was very nice and helpful. However, my nails are very inconsistent. Longer than what I wanted, the acrylic is bumpy and a couple of my nails have air bubbles in the acrylic and look dirty. My eyebrows came out great though. Confused.....$78 for shellac pedicure and French shellac manicure...was something besides just painting my fingers and toes supposed to happen? I was in and out in about 1 hour which is faster then just the pedicure alone. This is my first time with Shellac and I think I'm going to like it but it looks pretty shitty on one hand. I may be a bit biased because I have close ties with the shop and the nail technicians, but I won't let anyone else but Alex do my nails, Mary for my nail art, and Neha for my threading/waxing. I have the utmost confidence they will do a beautiful job if you see them. Dawn does excellent facials and Jenna will have your lashes looking stunning with a bat of an eye. I was at this place before had my lashes done. I go back and it was terrible. Not only did they charge 5 extra $ than what their services book says, my lashes started to fall off minutes later. I went back 15 minutes later she was supposed to fix them instead she added more clusters and now the glue and extra lashes are poking my eyes. I have no choice but to take them off. Dawn is the truth! However I got another nail tech because she wasn't there that day and was very disappointed. My gel overlay is bulky, uneven and a week later I am ready to have it taken off. Also I wanted a manicure prior to receiving the overlay and the technician basically told me I didn't need it (how rude if that's what I want) and my natural nails were not well cared for the way they were when Dawn did them. I've been here a few times, the first time I loved my experience. The second time I made an appointment for a pedicure and waited almost an hour after my appointment time to have my pedi done. The girl who did it, Jenna, did an amazing job and made my experience worth it. I was there yesterday as well and Jenna gave me a manicure with Shellac polish and I'm amazed at the quality of her work. She is very sweet and friendly and really puts time and effort into her work. I came here to get gel nails applied the whole time the nail tech was talking very inappropriate about her personal life. It was very offensive the things she was saying. My cousin and I came back to give it another chance to get our nails filled. We waited an hour..And of course got the same tech. She was so upset that they made her stay a half hour over to do our nails that's all she talked about. She was in such a hurry our nails look like shit! I am still looking for a nail salon since I'm new to the area. I loved Alex, she did my nails and definitely took her time to make it look good. I am rating this 3 stars, though, because I made an appointment at 5:00 and started my appointment at 6:00. Which was really disappointing and annoying. I was doing acrylics too, so, to speed things up, they had the eyebrow lady start my nails. She had no idea what she was doing. Thankfully, Alex fixed them up a little once she was able to take me. I'm new to the area, having recently started work not too far away and desperately needed a new set put on, and I decided to give this salon a try...I'm so glad I did! I had read the couple of previous not-so-hot reviews, but having worked in customer service/personal care I knew that sometimes it doesn't matter what you do, an individual having a bad day will occasionally get ridiculous about minor things in response to other issues in life that are out of their control. The salon has such great atmosphere, and everyone working when I came in seemed cheerful, despite the fact that I couldn't arrive until after 6pm. I love the beautiful foot bowls and pedi area, and I loved having great music on instead of "family feud" on t.v. I also love that the owners (as well as all the techs) are so focused on cleanliness and informing their clients about safety. I really appreciate that there was info on both up at the front desk for clients to take with them.I am beyond thrilled by the services I had done! My pedi was done at a steady pace, but not rushed in any way. My nails are epic! I had been told at another place that I needed to have fairly long nails for a coffin shape to look good... that was so wrong! Crystal did an amazing job on my nails (and above mentioned pedi), and she was a great conversationalist too. I'm not sure how this place keeps voted as a top nail salon in Metro Detroit. They use cheap products as all Asian owned salons do. They are slow. They never start your service at appointment time, it's always a 30 minute wait before you see someone. (Appt at 1:00p, no one started until 1:40p) This is my third or forth visit after trying to give them a chance, and it's not worth it. It's always the same thing. I wish I could rate this beautiful salon a five. The decor is absolutely beautiful. The copper look pedicure bowls. The beautiful faucets. The drinks being served as you receive services; all make this a possible five star location. At a typical nail salon a shellac polish service is $15.00 here it is $25.00. You do get great service so I am sure it could be worth it. I unfortunately did not get the shellac polish I got a express manicure and pedicure.  My manicurist was awesome!I laughed and enjoyed her company. Sometimes there was too much talking and not enough relaxing.So why the three rating?My nails were cute until I left the shop. They were not dry at all. I was given a topcoat, two layers of nail polish and another clear coat on the top. That is four layers of polish. I was told the end coat was quick drying as I was put under the dryer. My nails looked dry when I left but they were not. I have to go back to another nail tech today to fix my nails. That my friend is called wasting money.My daughter received a fill of her acrylic nails and she left looking low budget to say the least.Her manicurist was in a hurry and talking on the phone to her boyfriend most of her visit about picking her up. This salon has GREAT SALON potential.The prices are very expensive in relation to other nail salons.. That's ok, if the services rendered are up to par.If I don't choose shellac on any given visit I still should leave the shop shop with dry beautiful nails that myself and my daughter don't have to get done over somewhere else.I do have an appointment for a shellac manicure in two weeks...My motto is still three strikes and you are out.The decor and customer service made this a half a strike instead of a full strike. My friend and I needed pedicures on a Sunday and this was the only place around that was open. Wasn't sure what to expect since the location isn't in the most desirable area, this salon is located in a back corner of the plaza it's very easy to miss. Walked in and the ambience is lovely, very classy and relaxing. Best pedicures we have had in a long time! They took their time and the leg and foot massage was awesome! I recently saw a special on ABC nightline showing the nightmares of going to unclean nail salons , so I was very surprised to find a place that places a high value on cleanliness and safety. I only have had a few manicures in my life so I don't know all the particulars, but the owner who actually did my manicure explained everything to me while receiving the service. My experience was amazing, from the lemon scrub to the hand massage and above else I didn't experience any pain like I have from another place. I know its uncommon for men to receive manicure's but I never felt out of place and would go again. I think women need to be more aware of the type of establishments they go to, its not all about the look of the nails, its about safety and cleanliness. First time there no business at all. Music was so loud couldn't hear my friend talking that was right next to me. Girl that did my nails didn't even cover the whole nail and it was spotty. The nail smugged and she just covered it with glitter. The glitter was so high on my nail Because she loaded it on. I was sitting a good 20 mins to let it dry and they got messed up. The pedicure was just plain water I put my feet in. My toes got messed up Because she put wayyy to much glitter on! Thought the reviews of it to be trustworthy but NO total opposite of what everyone said. Not worth the money, time or headache!!! They offer beverages and also your choice of scented lotion and sugar scrub! they also have water fall once you enter wit a jazz music playing! They do a wonderful job! UPDATED REVIEW: Boy, this place has gone downhill!I gave it a shot a few times a few years ago, and I had a decent experience. That has all changedThe staff is horrible.There is a woman named Theresa who answers the phone. I called and made an appointment for an eyebrow wax, shellac manicure, and pedicure. She booked my appointment for 6:00pm. I arrived at 5:45pm to ensure time to sign in and pick out my colors.I waited.... and waited..... and finally I got my eyebrows done, but the woman who did them was 100% insisting I do threading instead, so I did. It was done in 5 minutes, so about 6:05.They put me at one of the foot baths to continue waiting. I sat there for, NO EXAGGERATION, over an hour!The water in the foot bath was completely freezing cold by the time someone got to me.In the meantime, I watched someone walk in and be seated for her nails right away. When I asked why that would be, the woman helping a customer next to me said she had an appointment. I explained (probably slightly loudly because that was so rude) that I ALSO had an appointment, but it was an HOUR ago. She just looked at me.When the woman did finally come over to do the pedicure (I believe it was approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes after my initial appointment time), the woman who scheduled my appointment, Theresa, said "sorry, we're running behind". YOU THINK?The woman doing my pedicure, I couldn't understand anything she said at all, so I felt bad when she would talk to me and I had to ask her to repeat herself. Because of this, somehow my toenails were not clipped or shaped at all? No idea how that would happen during a pedicure!The Shellac was somehow painful. I've gotten shellac manicures no less than 30 times in my life and never once has it ever hurt. Somehow the shellac hurt my nails, and my fingers ached something awful for an hour!The worst part was, I couldn't complain at all, because the woman doing my nails told me that the woman in front of me complained (about a screaming employee yelling about how horrible one of her customers was), so the manager had to give her a refund, and how she HATES when customers complain, and she should just leave if she doesn't like it there.So I just felt extremely uncomfortable.This place has the most turnover of any salon I've ever been to!
