This place JUST wants your money, not to make sure you are actually content with the services rendered. I will never come her again. I should've took heed to the bad reviews because boy were they right! The customer service is poor, the staff does not seem very knowledgable and they are way too overpriced for how poor the service is. Horrible staff and HORRIBLE customer service. The woman who waxed my eyebrows got lots of wax in my hair and did not brush my lashes throughly before waxing, just waxed away. When I reported this I was told there is NOTHING they could do. I went with my daughter for manicures yesterday. I was seated first & my daughter had one of the men after I had been seated for awhile. The woman who was doing mine, wrapped my nails in the aluminum foil & polish remover & left me there to go handle a woman in the back with a problem toe. My daughter spoke up & they sent someone back to get her. She then took foil off, grinded polish then put them back on. Sat & played on her phone & left me again. My daughte...r was finished before me & I was still sitting with foil on my nails. It ruined our day as we were going shopping at a few other stores & I missed out on going with her. My daughter asked if someone else could do my nails before she was done & they said she was one of the owners so no one would do anything!! Needless to say, my daughter went to 3 other stores without me & it took over 2 hours for her to finish my nails!!! We will never go back there again & hope people read these reviews so they don’t either!! Plus the lady next to me was complaining to her lady that she wasn’t understanding what she was telling her she wanted & the person that did her nails before that had lied to her about one of her manicures!! Very clean and stylish salon. You don't sit and watch the Olympics on TV. They are considerate of their customers which is hard to find. All of the girls there are super friendly. I received a pedicure from Avalon Nails and Spa. The service I requested was a classic pedicure which is supposed to be a 30 minute treatment. I decided to time the manicurist to see just how long the service would be and wouldn't you know it, I was out of her chair in about 15-20 minutes. When I spoke with the owner about this, and showed her my receipt from an item I purchased at the store next door, which showed I made my purchase 27 minutes ago (so obviously I didn't rece...ive 30 minutes worth of service because less than 30 minutes ago I wasn't even in the salon), the owner offered me a pat on the shoulder and $5 off. By my calculations, I should've only paid approximately $12-16 ($25/30 min= $.83). Then, the owner TAXED me on the discount. So I ultimately only got $3 off!! One of the best nail salons I've ever been to! I got a shellac manicure and it lasted as long as it was supposed to, and the girl who did it, did an awesome job. Absolutely love this place!!! Newer salon, always clean, fun music, friendly staff and I've been going to TJ for my tips and nexgen nails for almost a year and he is the best in south Florida! His work is meticulous and precise, not only that but they last 10x longer than any other salon I've been to, he doesn't let me leave until they are impeccable. I simply cannot go anywhere else. I'm an evacuee from the Bahamas passing time until I can go home. What a perfect way to do so by getting a mani/pedi along with my eyebrows which were way past due. I just opted for basic services. IF I read correctly the pedi was supposed to be 30 minutes of relaxation - I did not time it but do not feel it was 30 minutes and had very minimal massage and relaxation techniques applied to my feet and calves. Also, as with most nail salons, the language barrier made it difficul...t to have a conversation and I was answered with quick direct answers so it was not personable at all. One thing that REALLY bothered me is one employee walked around picking up empty cups and water bottles I'm assuming left by patrons. While I agree this is rude she completely over reacted and it was uncomfortable to watch her extreme attitude over this. With all of that being said my main goal was to have pretty eyebrows, toenails and fingernails and I was very happy with all 3 when I left.
