Been coming here for over a year now and won’t go anywhere else! Came here for the first time last March to get “beach ready” for my daughter’s Senior Spring Break. Was only planning on a manicure since I don’t like anyone touching my feet as I suffer from neuropathy. However, one of the technicians, Jade, told me to give her a chance on my feet...so I did. My ultimate favorite nail place!.. It's like a hidden gem..it's always tidy & clean, the ladies are so sweet. I love that there's pretty much never a waiting time, since there's a lot of space for pedis and manis..and they always have staff..but you could always call ahead and reserve a spot. Huge collection of colors..I always opt for shellac (opi) & pedi..I've been coming here for about 2 years, & I'm always satisfied with my visit! My pedicure and manicure were amazing and the paraffin dip at the end of the gel manicure was a nice touch.B did  a really good job and she was very pleasant to talk. Sooooooooooooo happy I came here! I have been a loyal customer of Creative Nails for many years. For the longest time, I had no complaints, and then the past few times (over about 6 months) it seemed like they just didn't care about their customers anymore. I never got the person that I requested with my appointments and everyone that came in seemed like a bother. Plus, they just don't seem to listen. I'm such a loyal customer so I didn't want to switch because of one incident. I gave them chance after chance, but after consistently being ignored and frustrated with their quality, I decided to come to Mynt Nails.I went to Creative Nails today to get a specific design. I even told the person doing it that it didn't have to be exactly like the picture but if they could do something nice or something similar I would be totally fine with it. It didn't even seem like he listened to me. It looked awful, and he had to redo it three times because he kept trying to rush through it. I'm a very understanding person so if they simply said that they couldn't do it or that they would have somebody else do it instead, I would have been fine with it. But throughout the whole pedicure he kept humphing and acted like I was an inconvenience to him. When he finished, and I saw how terrible it was, I drove straight to Mynt Nails to see if they could fix it. I am so glad I did! Chewy did my designs and she did such an amazing job! I felt so well cared for and the detail and concentration she put into my designs clearly shows how passionate she is about this. That's all I wanted. Someone that actually cares for their customers. We had two pedicure reservations for 1 pm.  Cancelled one half an hour before but added a manicure to mine.  Got there, all staff were giving manicures and pedicures.  Was told at 1:20 to sit up front as it would be few minutes.  There were 3 ahead of me waiting as well. Hmm?  At 1:30 I asked how long and was told few minutes.  The 3 got seated.  At 1:36 they put me in a chair to soak.  At 1:45 I asked again would someone be helping me.  Few minutes.  At 1:50 I asked again and was told she's coming.  At 1:56 she (?) wasn't there yet and so I out with wet feet.  No one helped me and my plan had been to have mani/pedi and leave by 2:30.  My appointment was after all for 1pm.  Poor management. Had a great pedicure experience! Having gone in the winter, I walked in with my snow boots and wasn't leaving in flip flops of course...so they put some oil in a plastic bag and put that plastic bag over my feet to help prevent the polish from smudging. This is the best nail place you can ever find! Kelly is the sweetest woman you will ever meet so humble and so down to earth always treating you like family. I definitely recommend this place, they have a great variety of nail polish, it's always clean and everyone does a great job here! Every time I go there I get so relaxed and so pampered! They take their time and they don't rush you and they use new tools for every new client, also when I do regular nail polish they last like if they are gel nail polish. You can tell that they never do cheap stuff or try to just do it for the money, they really appreciate their clients and the quality of the service is unique. I recommend this place 100%! Read Less

I would say out of all of the other nail salons I've been to including, Luv, Creative Nails, and Grace Nails in Rochester Hills...Mynt nails has been my final choice at heart because they consistently do a wonderful and long lasting job on my nails. I usually get the Shellac. I have four stars because my last nail artist was very rude because she was pregnant and having a bad day...but she did do a fantastic job on my nails, which is really all I care about. The woman who did my nails was really clusters, she kept getting destruction when a customer would enter the salon, she cut my finger with a nail file and acrylic nails look terrible. The blood from my finger was all over the nail file. People can have diseases and it can spread from nail file to nail file. Don't recommend. Edit: My Nails didn't last. They lifted and looked dull within a short amount of time. The customer service was great, but not the quality of the nails.First off....I'm extremely picky about my nails. Secondly, I research, research, research before selecting a place. I'm happy to say, I am so happy I found Mynt Nails. I'm in town visiting my mom and wanted to take her on a girls date. I stopped by the salons before going to Mynt (mainly because no one in this area does dip powder). The owner did my nails (we talked the entire time but unfortunately didn't exchange names). I went here with my wife and her brother that lives nearby. We all received Pedicures and they also got manicures. It was a lot of fun because my brother in law has never done this.They were very friendly, the salon was clean and bright.They had no problems with doing mens nails. My wife got extra sparkles on her hails.Price was good.I recommend this place. Read Less

I love Mynt Nails! My mom and I started going here when I made the move to Rochester, and I cannot say enough about it. All of the people working there are so friendly and kind, and they keep you involved in all of the conversation. The owner is seriously the nicest person I have ever met! Clean and everyone is nice. However, my sister went here to get coffin shaped acrylic nails with gel polish and was charged an outrageous price of $75 dollars... we have been getting our nails done in rochester/royal oak area and have never heard of such an outrageous price. From the sound of it, her nail tech up charged her for gel (?) powder without informing her of an extra cost, mandated that all of her prior acrylic nails were removed so she could charge her for a full s...et instead of just filling them and then again charged a very high price for coffin shaping which was not done correctly. My sister was obviously upset during the appointment and the tech begged her to come back so she could "try again", which my sister will be unable to do as she moved a week later. My sister said during the appointment she was unhappy with the length and the tech continued on anyways. Once my sister went to the counter to pay, she was completely floored by the price and handed her card over anyways. She went outside, thought about it, and came back in with tears about how unhappy she was with the service, quality of nails, and the price. The manager took only $5 dollars off. My sister then asked if she could have them removed then and there because of how unhappy she was and they said it would be a charge $15 dollars. I work retail, I know the customer is not always right, but my sister and I are both very understanding, nice people and the way this situation was handled was very far from fair orbprofessional. I decided to treat myself to a manicure and pedicure to unwind while traveling to the area for work. I decided to Yelp a spot and was instantly impressed with the consistent high ratings - you don't see that often!I was really impressed with the cleanliness and overall modern ambiance of the place. I live in San Francisco and we have some hole-in-the-wall places to get manis and pedis, so this was like the Palace of Pedicures for me. The service was great - the ladies all seemed very friendly and talkative, not just with each other but also with their customers. And they do have a great selection of basic polish and shellac colors. I appreciate how attentive my manicurist was, and she did an awesome job scrubbing my heels! My only complaint is that it's been 4 hours, and I noticed that the very tips of my nails are not polished, either from the polish not being applied to the very end, or from me typing on my computer for the last hour and the polish getting pushed back/chipped! I also noticed that she didn't completely clip the side of my cuticle. -1 star.Either way, pretty disappointing considering everything else was great! Read Less

Great nail salon! The staff was friendly and did an amazing job. We had a bridal party of 10 with nowhere to go as a chain salon "lost" our appointment and couldn't help. We called Mynt and they told us they would fit us in and take care of us. Totally turned around a bad day the bride had. Glad we came here. This was by far a much more pleasant atmosphere and experience. If you're looking for quality, friendliness and cleanliness this is the place. Really clean place, nice environment. I give it a 4 because there were 2 women doing my nails( one the pedicure and the second the manicure). Not sure why they switched but it seems like the one that did my manicure was a lot more experienced. Overall I love the place and the experience. I will definitely go back. Ok....first of all, let me start by saying that in all fairness, they did a nice job with my nails and toenails. BUT, what I was charged was highway robbery. Advertised as $26 and up for a set of acrylics. I had never had my nails done and knew nothing about getting acrylic nails. However, there needs to be some transparency with salons these days in their pricing. I was expecting my nails to cost around $30...maybe a little more because I was going to ask for some minim...al nail art. However, my nails ended up costing a whopping $65. There was an extra charge for everything....$20 for shellac (should have been in upfront about ALL acrylic manicures really needing shellac), $10 for the nail art...and I don't even know where they came up with the other $9 charge. My daughter also had her nails done and I must say that although mine looked great, my daughter's had something to be desired. I asked for the word "love" on the tip of one of the nails. It turned out to read more like "lvs" or something like that....and I was charged $10 for the less than stellar nail art. Yes, this place is clean. Yes, my male technician did a great job. I waited to write a review until I had gone a few times. I have a difficult time with shellac. It always lifts after about a week. My shellac has been staying on so much longer! They use Gelish bond and have OPI and KiaraSky shellac polish. I drive 30 minutes just to come to Mynt. They are very friendly and seem to have many "regulars" that are loyal. Read Less

I had a great experience here. The technician was warm and friendly, helping me to choose a color when I was stuck between a couple of them. She worked diligently to correct some mistakes done in a recent previous manicure (butchered cuticles!) and was very gentle and detail-focused. The wax dip at the end was a particular treat. My hands were so soft and smooth. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because I'm a little less than a week out from a gel manicure and it has started to peel/chip in a couple of spots :( I was hoping this manicure (being gel) would last at least 7 days, I've had them last closer to 10 in previous experiences at other salons. This could be perhaps because of the brand I chose and not necessarily the application - I'm not an expert here but the short amount of time before peeling/chipping is kind of a bummer. Best service ! Great customer service. Steve does an awesome job. I had my nails done by other people in the salon and they are all great. They make you feel comfortable if you don't like something. Absolutely love every visit I have at Mynt! I've had pedicures / shellac manicures by nearly every staff member and they always turn out wonderfully. Everyone is friendly, professional, and provides 5 star service - not to mention the work is top notch. Pretty good experience, everyone seemed polite and professional .I got a full set of acrylics for $26. I'm not one to frequent nail salons so I was just looking for an inexpensive place to get my nails done for the holiday season. My one complaint is that the acrylics came thicker than the ones I had previously and seemed a bit messy. I don't know how their other services run but I do not think I will be back for acrylics.
