First time visit. The lady didn't introduce herself... pointed at a table far away and mumbled to go sit down... then didnt speak two words to me during the service. She was extremely rough and when i told her she was hurting me, she barely acknowledged my concern. It's a clean salon, but popular so make an appointment or you will wait if you walk-in. The pricing is average compared to other salons in the area for the same service. The only reason I gave it (4) stars is that I have been there many times and they have taken other people while waiting on me to repair a nail, fix someone's toe nail smudge etc., while doing my nails. I went several times to K & T, and while not overwhelmed, was satisfied. But Easter weekend I went with my daughter-in-law for a Mani-Pedi. Although we had appointments and it was not crowded, our appointments became separated. When the manicurist could not talk my daughter-in-law into the more expensive gel manicure, the manicurist became rude and sloppy. It was clear that she just wanted to move onto someone else. She needed to be reminded that the manicure was incomplete with just one coat of nail polish and no top coat. Worse yet is that there was polish all over her cuticles on EVERY finger! In my mind it was all about pushing people through and making money. They've lost my business with their rudeness and non-caring attitude. I'm sure knowing my daughter-in-law was from out of state and therefore didn't offer repeat business was a factor. Unfortunately I WAS a weekly business until then! Within minutes of my post, I received a call from K & T to discuss my disappointing visit. I am impressed with their quick response and sincere desire to do better. I have been having my nails done for over 30 years and K & T nails is, by far, the best place I have ever used. The salon is clean and relaxing. The products are top notch and up to date, following fashion- forward tends. The staff is quick and proficient. My gel manicures last almost 3 weeks. I cannot recommend them highly enough. This has been my nail salon for years! I have always been taken care of & can walk in most days without an appointment. The staff is friendly, the salon is clean & constantly updated with new equipment and as long as people don't talk on their cell phones during my pedicure, it's the most peaceful 45 minutes of a day! I have been going to K&T Nails for years now. As a relocation specialist for the Rochester area, I recommend this shop to everyone who moves to Rochester. The owners are the most amazingly kind and honest people. This is the cleanest salon around. I have been witness to the owners going above and beyond to please their customers. If a customer has been difficult or not satisfied, I have seen them redo the entire service and not even charge the customer. Went there for my first time last week and payed $30 for a full set with white tips. Two of my nails chipped within the first three days, and on the fourth day my pinky nail broke, so I went to get them repaired. They only put one coat on their nails, when everybody knows you are supposed to use two, and i had three fixed nails, and the rest already looked worn down. Today, another one of my nails just broke. keep in mind its only been about a week. Don't come here! I payed $20 at my old salon and they did 10x a better job. Read Less

This place does awesome pedicures, but stay away from the shellac! I have had it done twice and both times it was done poorly. My nails never hardened and one of them actually chipped the night I got them done! I can't speak on the rest of their services, but please don't waste your money on the shellac manicure. Read Less

I'm very skeptical when it comes to trying new nails places. After searching all over the web, looking for decent reviews, I took a chance on K & T. I called for availabilities and they fit me right in based on my times available. When I arrived I was AMAZED at the cleanliness and beauty of the salon. Mind you, it's no beverly hills, but it's damn near close! For a pedicure, they did a beautiful job, but that's not all of it. They have such a relaxing atmosphere with a beautiful fish tank and the most relaxing music. There was no stress at all! I will DEFINITELY be back again!! Read Less
