Poor service, overpriced and cheap quality!!! First we were sitting there for 45 minutes with no instructions or warning it would take that long after calling ahead to ask if there was a wait. There were many workers not even helping guests. We only came in for a nail color change and finally when we were called over they spent 10 minutes trying to PEEL off my old shillac polish, damaging and thinning my nails. Then finally they got it all off and put new color on for $25 (JUST for a shillac nail color change, no manicure) Less than 4 days later, the polish was already chipping and peeling off. Work was ok, certainly not the best ive ever had but was ok. Would have been more satisfied if their English was better and if they would have done what i specifically asked for. I asked for shellac and said i wanted my nails a little longer.. they said that it was possible to make them longer with shellac but then didnt do it?? I went to this nail place with my cousins, as it came highly recommended by my cousin's friend. I wanted to take off my acrylic nails and have a manicure and gel finish. The female employee that was doing my nails did not soak the acrylics to assist with the removal.  Due to this, she ripped half my nail off, leaving the nail bed bleeding and raw down to the flesh. It was extremely painful. She did not apologize nor did the owner. I do not recommend this place! So I stopped going to Lucy's Nails because I wasn't happy with how my nails were turning out. I used to work at 12 Oaks mall, and decided to ask if Le Nails if they offered the powder dip. After finding out the service was offered, I decided to try them out. I let Jennifer do my nails and she rocked it out. My nails looked beautiful, she took her time and did a excellent job. Jennifer is so friendly and welcoming. I'm glad I decided to go in there on a whim and give it a shot. Although I do not work at the mall anymore, I will continue to drive out there every 3 to 3 weeks to have Jennifer do my nails. Read Less

I have gone to this salon a handful of times when I was in a crunch for time and I have regretted each of these visits. If you value your time money and sanity avoid this place at all costs. They will have you wait for an eternity and then some. Then they'll try and upsell you on services you never wanted in the first place just because they want to make a buck. I was finessed into a dip powder (I am a strict shellac gal) and three of my nails broke off within the first 24 hours after my first visit here. This may be due to the fact that they filed my nails done so severely that my nails were left thinner and flimsier and weaker than before. This may also be due to the fact that they use cheap products. After my second visit, I had shellac done and I was extremely unhappy with the results as they once again filed my nails down to the point of damaging them severely although I told him not to. It is two days after I had my shellac done, and low and behold, my nails are broken and chipping. This is the ONLY salon that I have experienced this with. And just to add the cherry on top of the crap sundae, they actually had the audacity to try and charge me TWICE for my visit and then tried to argue with me before they realized it was their mistake. Le Nails does an excellent job with nail dips! I had Wendy who took her time making sure my nails looked exactly how I wanted. I've been to other places where it turns out blotchy and rough, not this place. I love it here. As long as you don't come around noon or on Fridays and Saturdays, there's no waiting. The atmosphere is great and they have a WIDE selection of nail dip colors. For $40, it's worth getting the dip as the color lasts up to 4 weeks. Highly recommend. Read Less

Do not go here! The nail salon downstairs is so much better. My friend and I both worked late and called to see if they could take us 30 minutes before closing (thinking it was the place downstairs that we frequent.) They said sure come, it was no problem, you have appointments at 830. We got to our salon downstairs where we learned that we had called the wrong place and they directed us upstairs. (I guess this happens a lot because it's in the mall and unless you know them by name you could easily call the other...) My friend got a full set with french tips. Her tips looked horrible! They were uneven and splotchy. I just got a manicure with gel polish. You could tell she was rushing. She had to take off the gel from my last manicure and instead of letting them soak the appropriate length of time to properly remove my polish she was SCRAPING my nails to the point where it was painful. I've been getting this same process for years now and have never had anything like this happen. My water soak was cold, she wasn't leaving my hands in the uv long enough between coats and was rushing. The polish ended up looking semi-ok when I left. I decided to change to a really neutral color when I started to get the feeling it wasn't going to turn out well. (My friends looked way worse. I felt really bad for her as we were getting these done for upcoming Thanksgiving parties and she had no time to get them redone anywhere.) I'm writing this 4 days later and I already have 2 chipped nails. I pay extra to get the gel polish as it usually lasts me 2 1/2 weeks but I'll be getting a polish change tomorrow. They were literally turning the lights out on us as we finished up. Why would you say "yes, we can absolutely take you" if you clearly didn't want appointments this late? Oh, and I noticed some reviewers were charged a 5 dollar polish fee. They did that to us too! I've been to at least 20 nail salons and have never heard of that. At 40.5 weeks pregnant, I went in for what I hoped to be a relaxing pedicure. The gentlemen never said one word to me. When he was clipping my toenails, he missed and gouged out a chunk of my skin on my pinky toe. It started bleeding instantly. It took several cotton balls over several minutes to soak up the blood. He wouldn't let me put my foot back in the tub due to the blood, and progressed. Didn't even seem to apologetic- just business as usual.To top it off, the pedicure was supposed to be $25 (printed on the wall!) and they charged me $30... I don't get the negative reviews on here at all. I've been coming here for a long as I can remember. This is my place, my sanctuary, my zen. They do excellent work (some more than others but I'm not sharing names because, MINE), they're very reasonably priced, they have up to date colors in stock (new OPI collection was just released? It's here) and their sanitation is better than most places I've been. When they get busy, they really get BUSY, and the wait times they quote are never accurate, but take that with a grain of salt and come during non-peak hours. My cousin and I went here for a mani / pedi while we were shopping at the mall and we waited FOREVER even though there was only two other customers being seen. When we were finally seated I noticed how dirty the placed looked and how cool the water was. There was a customer who came in after we did and she sat there and waited patiently. Three more customers came in after her(we were there for so long because they frequently left our stations) and they kept passing over the woman who came in after us. FINALLY, the woman gets up and says something and one of the workers raises her voice and started yelling at her about how they haven't forgotten her when they CLEARLY did. Went to get a pedicure today. The store was very dirty and needed to be cleaned up. It only took her 20 minutes to do my whole pedicure and when I looked at the polish only half of my big toenail was painted and there was paint on my skin on all my toes. Stay far the hell away from this place. I went with my cousin for each of us to get a pedicure. They sat us both in chairs, filled up the tub and then worked on my cousin while I sat and waited in cooling water. We didn't have time to wait. If they couldn't do both at the same time, we should of been notified. These people are rude. ALL OF THEM. A mani and pedi while shopping at the mall?  I don't mind if I do!  I've been here a handful of times.  And each time, I've been pretty satisfied with the results.  Staff turnover here seems to be low, however, one of the girls I really liked moved to another nail place.  Most recently, I saw Tina who did a fantastic job on my shellac mani and pedicure.  The actual nail salon is mostly tidy but can use a bit more elbow grease to get it really sparkling.  The actual stations (manicure and pedicure) stations are very clean and tidy.  I must admit, their polish selection looked a bit tired.  I didn't see many new or seasonal colors.  They did have a large selection of shellac colors though, and from different brands which is a plus.  They also offer waxing services, which pretty cheap but I'll stick with the threading next door.  Overall, Le Nails is a good alternative to my other nail salons.  Its convenient location and nice staff is what keeps me coming back for sure.  I just wish their nail polish selection could get a sprucing up and then I would be a regular for sure! I don't like to be rude when writing reviews.. and I typically like to give second chances.. but against my better judgment I walked into Le Nails to get a fill. I sat down and the girl was very friendly at first.. I showed her my nails and two of them were broke off.. So I said " I need a fill, and I need two new tips".. she said " No, you need a full set" at this point  I was a little frustrated and said to her I didn't need a full set of acrylics. I need a fill and to clean them up.. it had been about 4 weeks so they were getting grown out and a little chipped.. she grabbed my hand and said " No! full set.. look at the chips".  I have had acryilc nails for about 6 years.. my original girl I went to was on maternity leave.. I know what I am talking about when it comes to this sort of thing.. The sides of a few nails were a tad chipped.. but they did NOT need a whole new nail..Anyway.. I said I didn't have time and I needed to go. She gave me a blank stare when I left.Needless to say, It rubbed me the wrong way. I moved to the Livonia/Novi area about a year ago and have been trying out different nail salons to find one I like. Le Nails at Twelve Oaks is NOT one of them. I had a mani-pedi ($35, an excellent price, though) two nights ago and I?d be willing to bet money that the guy who did my nails was high; his eyes were slightly bloodshot, he was mumbling, and he kept talking about how hungry he was (immediately after he had finished my manicure, he went across the hall and bought cookies from Toll House). The paint job on my toes is laughable and my nails were not the shape I asked him to keep; he cut my nails straight across and hardly filed at all, and when I asked him to ?please round the corners,? he said, ?no, they look good this way, trust me.? When I got home, I more closely inspected my toenails to find that he had not covered the entire nail with polish! This sounds like I?m exaggerating, but I promise I am not. Needless to say, I will be trying Wonderful Nails at Twelve Oaks instead of ever going back to Le Nails. Read Less
