Came here using the entertainment voucher. But presented it and being told I can’t because of the fringe. No where in the rules book said that. There were two meals ordered, including a side of chips. With no explanation the chips were brought out first as if they were an entree. After half an hour one main meal was served but there was no sign of the other meal. After a while I enquired where it was. The waitress went off to find out but then didn't bother to return and speak to me. I had to approach her again -what poor customer service. The meal was eventually brought out 20 minutes after the other one by which time my companion had nearly finished. The meal itself was not nice. I have been going to Northville Nail Boutique for ten years now and love every single experience! Uit and her team are wonderful and pay close attention to detail with your nails. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted and asked how they can help you. I always enjoy their friendly conversation during the appointment. Like most salons, if you go during prime time after work hours it will be busy but it is always worth the wait! NEVER EVER EVER WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Worst experience ever. So much smoke in the empty restaurant, as our less than acceptable meals were being slapped together, we could barely breathe. 34 degree day and we had to ask them to put the air-conditioner on. My sister-in-law and I were having a joint birthday celebration, with pedis and lunch and shopping. Northville Nail Boutique is her go-to place for hand and foot care, so that's where we made our reservations.I arrived before she did and was greeted warmly by the owner. We chatted about the best way to open pistachios while I looked for the right color for my tootsies.Side-by-side massage chairs with pools of deliciously warm water for our feet: perfect for sisterly chatting while we got pampered. The owner himself worked on me and had just the right touch for my sometimes ticklish feet. No pain, just pleasure, and the color he applied (on September 7, 2017) is still going strong a month later - no chips!I would recommend Northville Nail Boutique to anyone wanting a manicure or pedicure. This is the first review I have ever written, but I felt the need to share my experience here for others to see. My nail tech was Molly, she was rude, judgemental of where I was from, and did a sub-par job on my manicure. I'm from Redford, a poorer part of Michigan, and when I expressed that, she asked what I was doing here in Northville in a very snobbish tone - strike one for me. She then proceeded to tell me to wait 5 minutes for my nails to dry before she put a top coat on them. I obliged, however, she then sat on her phone for 20 minutes as I sat there, alone at the desk. Jumping ahead to after my nails were finished, she again left me alone at the desk for another 10 minutes, and I had to call over another tech to help me cash out - mind you, my nails were dry, so she wasn't waiting for them to dry. I overheard the other tech calling Molly to tell her I needed to be cashed out, and instead of coming to me personally, I overheard her telling the boutique assistant to take care of it, and to clarify, she wasn't busy, she was sitting in one of the pedicure chairs on her phone again, apparently too lazy to come cash out her customer. Terrible experience and I will not be recommending this place to anyone, in fact, I will be telling them to stay away, as my whole experience was awful, and this is only my side of the story, I had a friend with me that had an even worse experience than I did. I was a loyal customer, but I was treated very poorly by a nail tech and I will not be back. I would get my toes and shellac manicures frequently. I probably spent 100 bucks a month. Rude technician. Unfortunately, I have to echo another reviewer's experience and say that I cannot recommend this nail salon at all.  I also had made an appointment two weeks ahead of time for a mani/pedi for my sister's wedding and was very excited since this was a rare treat.  I got there at 10AM for my appointment and it was completely full with all technicians already with someone.  Nobody greeted me and there was nobody at the front counter.  After 5 minutes, I asked one of the workers about having an appointment but he didn't say much and didn't offer to help.  So I sat down next to a woman who had been waiting with no appointment.  After more waiting and getting increasingly more frustrated since I now had less time, I looked up another nail salon in the area (K&T Nail Spa on Novi Rd) and rang them up to see if they'd take me as a walk-in.  They could so I left.  Nobody bothered to ask and nobody seemed to care that I was leaving.  Truly horrible customer service and will happily take my business elsewhere.  Go to K&T instead!  They were friendly and happily accommodated me. Walking in feels like a friend's house!  Everyone chats with one another, we have fun jokes and it's a nice clean reprieve from any stressful day.  The owner is very fair and open about pricing and everyone makes you feel welcome.  Would recommend this to any one looking for a mani or pedi.  It helps to have an appointment (especially on busy days) but it's not required. I made an appointment at the nail salon the other day before the rehearsal dinner for a wedding I was in that weekend.  I was a few minutes late but it seemed as though they didn't really keep to appointment times very well. Someone without an appointment was there before me and they still took her first and I had to wait, but overall they were pretty efficient so it was ok.The quality of the mani (shellac) I was very happy with. It was smooth and shiny, and probably better than what I've been able to get in Ann Arbor. It is a mostly Asian salon, which I never mind, but for those who don't like it when the technicians done speak English, everyone there spoke English and I didn't sense a lot of talking behind customers backs. Hands down, absolutely my favorite nail salon of all time. I have tried SO many nail places and Northville Nail Boutique is the standard to which I hold all others and they all fail to be as good. Excellent service, very clean, great polish selection, very reasonably priced. I love the nail art they do - they are so talented!! I have really badly calloused feet and this is the only place that can get my heels smooth without using razors or the stuff that eats away at skin. They just use good old fashioned elbow grease and good quality pumice stones. They always do an excellent job with polish application and my pedicures always look great for at least a month. The only slightly negative thing I could possibly say about this place is that their massage chairs are a bit outdated and beat up and I wish they could get new ones. But they're still comfy to sit in even without the massage. I drive all almost half an hour to get to this place because it's SO worth it!!! Read Less

I would absolutely not recommend this salon. I actually have never had a worse experience receiving a manicure and pedicure. My 3 girlfriends and I scheduled appointments for manicures and pedicures a month in advance in preparation for our girlfriends wedding. The bride had been there once before and we had another appointment near by afterwards. The maid of honor even called 2 weeks ago to confirm the appointments.  Needless to say, we still waited. The salon was horribly unorganized, and unprofessional. It was not just the wait that was horrible, but the actual services. The nail techs were so rushed that the pedicures were horrible. I think they took 2 minutes to polish our toes total and it is spotty at best. Even more so, they were very aggressive with clipping our nails and the result was a painful pedicure. Now into the manicures. This is where the real fun began. My  shellac manicure was done by the overwhelmed and rude owner. At first she was chatty and very nice. She cleaned my nails and asked me to wash my hands. I had to ask her to redo my cuticles. The polish job was horrific. I have shaky hands and could have done a better job. The polish was not even, did not cover my nails, and thin. On top of that, while she was doing my nails she kept yelling at her kids to have them help out in the salon. The bride had a terrible manicure too. I am a very shy person, but my friend is a little more bold. She informed her tech that she was not happy. And asked for us to have our manicures redone. The owner proceeded to confront me aggresively and said if I was unhappy I should have spoken up. My friend lost it and talked back. Way to run a business, yelling at your customers.
